So, if Muslims are also falling victim to banditry and insurgency, one is compelled to ask, where exactly did this dramatic tale of a “Christian genocide” originate from? Or is it one of those conspiracy theories manufactured somewhere between WhatsApp broadcasts and late-night imagination?

And now to the handle-mops, having exhausted local theatrics, they appear to be pinning their hopes on Trump, expecting him to swoop in and somehow replace Tinubu with pitobi under the banner of “Christian genocide.” One has to admire the creativity.

When that fantasy collapses, as it surely will, what’s the next move? A heartfelt appeal to Netanyahu? At this rate, the campaign strategy seems less like politics and more like an international prayer chain, desperately searching for a miracle sponsor

You guys should ask your brothers and sisters in America why they are ordering food stuffs from Nigeria even with Trump Tariff, if it is more expensive in Nigeria.

You guys are comparing the cost of chicken in Nigeria with that of America ignoring quality. I am not saying things are not expensive in Nigeria. The comparison is what I question.

Food is far cheaper in Nigeria. The chicken you are quoting the price are low quality. it is not comparable to what is obtainable in Nigeria. Nigerians that are lower middle class and up don't eat those chicken. I can speaks to it because I often meet many Nigerians at the farm buying live fish, chicken, cattle etc. You go to the farm not for the cheap price but for the quality that is same as you get in Nigeria.

Nigeria has happened to her. This is exactly what happened to by baby sister December 2024, like play like play, she drove home herself, parked her car to go for the supposed minor surgery, infact when leaving, our mother who was accompaning her called me and another sibling to pray, I was like what is all this drama for someone just going for minor surgery and who should be back the same day or next? Someone looking healthy, infact you will not know she had any discomfort. Omo, my sister never returned home, likely play like play she ended up in vaults and gardens cemetery!
If only we had knew, she should have flown abroad, infact all people asked was how could you allow her have surgery in Nigeria? That these days, the most they treat locally is maleria, infact for toothache you should fly abroad! Funny thing is that the money we spent here in naija would have treated her in UK, Turkey etc.
Someone said all the good doctors worth anything have moved abroad for greener pastures, it is the leftovers available, another said an ex governor of delta state built one of the best hospitals in the country, but for headache the man flies abroad! He said look at baba seyi, Akpabio small thing they have gone to France, even wike after drinking 40year old whiskey and falls, will take off to London to flush his belle..
Imagine having access to the best available healthcare in the country, having money to spend not being and issue, yet you can still die like chicken in Nigeria, what then will you say about those that have no resources?
Hmm, to loose a child, more so in such circumstances will be a desaster for chiamanda, I know what my mama has gone through till today, I can can only play almighty God consoles her and her family, may he grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
Nigeria happened to her.

(Nb) I actually briefed lawyers to go after that facility in Victoria island, but my siblings said we should leave, it cannot bring her back, and the years of litigation will keep bringing back bad memories.
My sincere sympathies on the translation of your younger sister.

That Victoria Island-based private hospital you talked about should have been sued outright (contrary to family members' advice) if you had any concrete evidence of negligence by one or more of there staff. The Nigerian Medical Council would have struck their names out of their official membership register. Some medical practitioners have in the past talked and written about "oxygen cylinders" getting finished suddenly WITHOUT a backup and this has led to the lose of lives of people on admission in especially some Nigerian public hospitals.

NOW this current case of too much Propofol anaesthesia being given to a toddler by a supposed professional. What happened to work ethics? This calls to for regular training and retraining for all medical teams to mitigate these sorts of insidious incidents. I want to see that hospital get charged for the death of that boy.

You should be grateful that you understand the deeper reasons behind slavery and colonization, because many of our own people still don’t. The average Nigerian is often trapped in tribal sentiment, envy, and an inferiority complex, and that makes it hard for them to grasp this kind of perspective. Until we elevate our thinking and recognize the importance of building our own institutions and strengthening our own communities, we’ll keep missing the bigger picture.

The same people who ignored us during slavery, who didn’t listen when our ancestors were being killed and displaced in Africa, suddenly want to listen now. Yet the roots of the world’s injustices run deep, and anyone blinded by tribal bias will never fully understand the scale of what has happened—or what is still happening.

You're the 3rd person barging into my post to spread disinformation here over a CLEARLY-WORDED post I made! Do you know the meaning of PAYE (Pay As You Earn?]. There are different layers of taxes citizens of every country have to pay worldwide. PAYE is just one of them. In Nigeria's case, if you are earning less than N100,000 monthly, you are EXCLUDED from any PAYE as a tax relief! It doesn't mean you will not make other tax payments. Is it too difficult for you people to understand?

Look, if you have NOTHING functional to say in order to educate posters here then get off my mention. Many of you just right barge into online conversations because of your pre-conceived biases and bigotry and do NOT read articles, online posts or pay attention to little details before responding. I CLEARLY stated my points and you're still spreading disinformation here which Taiwo Oyedele has ALSO debunked from his podcasts and media interviews.

There is even a free online TAX CALCULATOR that Taiwo Oyedele said folks can use to calculate all the TAXES for the whole year that you will all have to individually pay by just inputting your salary or incomes. It's totally IRRESPONSIBLE for some of you to even say you aren't gonna pay tax. It's compulsory for citizens of many serious countries of the world such as the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, etc, to pay various taxes and that's how they have been able to maintain services and public facilities, etc.

Pa Wesley Tafida from Adamawa State... Born in 1920. It seems he's a member of the fearless Bachama ethnic group of Adamawa State. I read years ago in some of my collections of Nigerian Civil War history that many Bachamas were in the Nigerian Army as of 1966 when the FIRST ill-fated and ill-advised Nigerian Military coup of January 1966 took place and the Bachamas played a strong role in the second counter coup led largely by the Northern and Middle Belt troops in July 1966. The "Black Scorpion" who was the Commander of the "3rd Marine Commando" (ORIGINALLY called the "3rd Division" of the Nigerian Army) Brigadier-General Benjamin Adekunle's biological mother hailed from the Bachama ethnic group of Adamawa State. (His father was a native of Ogbomoso in Oyo State).

Big props to Pa Wesley Tafida on his 106th birthday and for fighting actively and gallantly against the Japanese invaders during the Burma War (Burma is now called Myanmar) which was the BIGGEST deployment of Nigerian troops during World War 2.

Sadly, many Nigerians in the British Colonial Army NEVER made it back from Burma and were buried there... BUT WITHOUT the presence of Nigerian-born troops, the Burma War would have been lost.

Succinctly put by Taiwo Oyedele.

Taiwo Oyedele has done a very brilliant job despite being a private sector business leader by explaining the newly harmonised Tax Reforms CLEARLY on podcasts and media appearances debunking all the fake news circulating on useless blogs and YouTubers looking for clickbaits and he does his explanations with simple anecdotes and in a calm voice.

Just for emphasis, about 90% of Nigerians who earn less than N100,000 monthly will NOT be involving in the PAYE (pay as you earn) according to Oyedele. He ALSO stated that VAT has been removed on medications, wheat for making bread and other essential items, therefore the price of bread is set to fall.

Already, I read 3 days ago online that due to the new Tax Reforms in Nigeria which started on January 1, 2026, MTN Nigeria has already reduced some of the rates they charge. Therefore other Telecoms providers would follow MTN's example.

What is needed is a "price watch mechanism" BECAUSE of the greed of many Nigerians in the informal and semi-formal sectors who inflate prices of transportation, food items and consumables BUT refuse to reduce the cost of food items when favourable reforms are introduced due to greed.

Last but NOT least, the Nigerian Governments at all levels MUST STOP being soft or lenient with ALL those who deliberately spread FAKE news reports and other forms of massive disinformation via YouTube channels and on crappy blogs. Enough of the misinformation. The same FAKE news for clickbaits and disinformation on YouTube channels occured when AJ had a horrendous Lexus SUV crash on his way to his Sagamu hometown in Ogun State with two of his close buddies, the British-Nigerian Latif "Latz" Ayodele and British-born Sina Ghami of Iranian descent.

Hoodrat:
Her promotion to Brigadier General in the U.S. Army happened back in March 2024, yet Nigerian media suddenly began blasting it across headlines in the last 24 hours. The timing is suspicious, especially when paired with the exaggerated praise coming from certain U.S. voices and the sudden, selective interest in Nigerian affairs.

This pattern isn’t new. Historically, when elite or bourgeois individuals from colonized or formerly colonized societies are elevated and celebrated by powerful foreign institutions, it often serves a strategic purpose. The individual becomes a symbolic tool—presented as a “hero,” a “success story,” or a “bridge”—while the deeper political or geopolitical intentions remain hidden.

Such narratives are frequently used to soften public perception, distract from uncomfortable realities, or justify future actions. When a divided and vulnerable nation is involved, the tactic becomes even more effective: elevate one person as a symbol of progress, and use that symbolism to mask agendas that may not benefit the people being praised.

What is being framed as a celebration of Nigerian excellence may, in fact, be part of a familiar pattern—one where praise is not simply praise, but preparation.
Succinctly stated.

I wondered too why that Vanguard newspaper Editor had to irresponsibly bring up this same stale story again on the British-born Amanda when INFACT she got promoted to a Brigadier-General back in March 2024 and it was widely reported online and offline.

Again, Amanda's Military success is multidimensional and largely tied to her Zimbabwean biological mother, who was divorced from her father and whom Amanda lived with and moved to the United States with before becoming a U.S. citizen in 1989 at the age of just 20 years. Hence she's got the Zimbabwean, Nigerian, British and American influences on her life and Military career. The newspaper headline sensationally suggests that she's fully Nigerian meanwhile she has multiple influences on her life on her way to success.

Nigeria has ALSO produced decades back the FIRST EVER female General in the Nigerian Army by the name of General Kale from the West of Nigeria (her brilliant biological son was the Accountant-General of Nigeria) so It's totally baseless for NL to even put up an opinion post right ABOVE asking if she would have achieved this Military position of a Brigadier-General if she was in the Nigerian Military.

That NL opinion poll right above this thread page has absolutely NO basis here.

The British-born Amanda's Nigerian-born father and Zimbabwean mother were separated (or divorced) when she was a younger girl in England and she LIVED more with her mother and then in 1989, she and her biological Zimbabwean mother migrated to the United States where she became a U.S. citizen and she has risen through the professional and U.S. Military ranks to become a Brigadier-General.

The credit for her success is multidimensional and goes to her Zimbabwean mother as well as Amanda's tenacity NOT BECAUSE she has a Nigerian father alone
as that insidious Vanguard newspaper headline sensationally and irresponsibly suggests.

A 79-year-old British multimillionaire, Sir Benjamin Slade, is seeking a young woman to have a son to inherit his fortune and continue his lineage.

Sir Benjamin Slade, a 79-year-old British baronet and owner of the 1,300-acre Maunsel House estate in Somerset, is advertising for a woman in her 20s or 30s to marry and produce a male heir, offering an annual salary of up to £50,000 plus perks like private jet access.

This echoes his 2025 public appeals for a 'good breeder' to secure his lineage, as he lacks a direct male descendant despite past surrogacy attempts abroad, highlighting tensions between aristocratic traditions and modern inheritance laws.

The post has ignited diverse reactions on X, from satirical volunteer offers and jokes about his timing to broader discussions on declining birth rates and cultural shifts away from traditional family structures in the UK.

Kenyan women are now ordering Aso Ebi and Gele for their weddings.

Same as Congolese, Ugandan, Tanzanian women, etc etc.

And some of their people are saying ''Enough is Enough. Where is our own culture? Nigeria will not swallow all of us in this Africa!''

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBkccjGMTOY
I've just watched that video right ABOVE.

FIRST off, I find the conversational style of this so-called Nigerian female YouTuber talking in that video to be highly irritating. She shouldn't be gloating and grinning all over the place making it look like it's a very big deal for a few Congolese, Kenyans, etc, to be appropriating some Yoruba and/or Nigerian ethnic wears and designs. Some African-Americans have ALWAYS used Ghananian Kente, Agbada, Aso-Oke, Adire, and other African prints and designs in their traditional "jumping the broom" wedding ceremonies and that's understandable because of the negative effects of plantation slavery that affected the African cultures in those deported on slave ships to the Americas.

Second, the 4th young lady of Yoruba (Nigerian-British) descent who spoke last with a British accent in the video ABOVE made the MOST SENSE in support of the FACT that if you're from any African ethnic culture, then project your ethnic wedding dressings to the world instead of wearing another ethnic group's cultural design and it enables others worldwide to appreciate you. There's NO doubt that historically, Yoruba, Itsekiri, Edo, Hausa, etc, wedding and other ceremonial attires can make people look classy and nicely put together, BUT what the Nigerian lady who spoke last is brilliantly saying here is that the individual ethnic cultures or identities of the bride and groom MUST be projected strictly on WEDDING days instead of appropriating other ethnic cultures from Nigeria or any other country.

I'm CLEARLY on the same page with that 4th female speaker in the video who is incidentally of British-Nigerian descent.

You’ve Never Paid School Fees Here” — Boy Boldly Confronts His Mother in Trending Video

A shocking yet hilarious video currently making the rounds on social media has stirred massive reactions. In the viral clip, a young boy is seen fearlessly confronting his mother, boldly telling her that she has no right to caution him because, according to him, she has never contributed financially to his education.

In his words:

> “I don’t blame you. It’s because daddy traveled, that’s why you’re doing this rubbish. Have you ever paid school fees for anybody in this house? You have never contributed shishi, it’s daddy that pays for everything.”

The boy’s confidence and unapologetic tone left many viewers stunned, while others couldn’t help but laugh at his courage. Some social media users described his outburst as “disrespectful,” insisting the child deserved serious discipline, while others argued that he was simply expressing his frustrations in the only way he knew how.

The trending clip has since sparked conversations about parenting, respect, and the growing boldness of children in today’s generation.

What are your thoughts on this? Was the boy out of line, or was he simply speaking his truth?

Source: http://www.reportnaija.ng/2026/01/youve-never-paid-school-fees-here-boy.html
Now, the boy's outburst and cussing towards his mother in the video was highly uncouth and unwarranted BUT it could be as a result of pent up anger due to frustrations from prior experiences over school fees and family-related issues. From what the other kids said in the video, their mother had contributed some funds in the past for school practicals and other miscellaneous stuffs. The mother too calmly said she would post the video on the Internet.

Parents have to deepen their conversations with their kids in times of cost-cutting and restructuring of personal finances so that parents and kids are on the same page on money issues.

There are several successful people such as past Governors and business people who NEVER went to the high school but instead took external exams back in the 1950s and 1960s from studying privately in Nigeria and then took those results to gain entry into the Uni.

The boy's father and mother will have to be on the same page in terms of setting boundaries for their kids in order for them to understand that delays in school fee payments can come but it's BETTER to wait and the payments will be made

A child 'correcting' his mother like a peer isn't a sign of growth; it’s a sign of a failed upbringing. If he lacks a filter at this age, his future is a major red flag. That’s not 'honesty'—it's pure disrespect. In my day, his father would have corrected that energy mercilessly. Does he even understand the traditional roles his parents agreed upon? Probably not. That's indeed a very brilliant option (which many people should be open to using instead of being insular in thinking) since she is just 36. For any woman in terms of fertility, 36 is getting late unless you freeze your viable eggs. The older a woman gets from her late 20s right into her 40s, the faster the chromosomal damages which occur in her FAST-diminishing or limited supply of eggs. To make matters WORSE, men ALSO have chromosomal damages or mutations in the sperm as we age, so this ISN'T an exclusive female problem. Fertilizing the eggs in-vitro before implantation in the womb can ALSO help to detect any of the chromosomal abnormalities.

These genetic and chromosomal mutations lead to autism, Down Syndrome, Edwards Syndrome, Patau Syndrome, Turner Syndrome, and Klinefelter Syndrome, and other chromosomal abnormalities affecting development.

So, it's BETTER to freeze your own eggs (for women) or sperm (for men) at any accredited fertility clinic if you want more children in the near future and then use the viable eggs and sperms to have your own biological baby via a surrogate mother (who might do it for free if she is your close relative like your sister or mother, OR you pay the surrogate mother a fee of over N1.5 million in some geographical locations in Nigeria to take care of her maternity expenses and more for 9 months. According to a British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) documentary I listened to back in the early 2000s, in India alone, there's a thriving "surrogate mother" ecosystem for Europeans and others to use at a cheaper cost to have their own babies which some Indian women acting as surrogate mothers have used to lift themselves up the social and economic ladder by buying cows to produce milk, build new houses, and send their own biological kids to school).
