Nigeria currently have close to 18,000 base stations in total ( all operators combined), MTN has more than 7000, which around 40% (estimated). Their market dominance is no fluke.

Other operators need to roll out massively,

Telecoms services is a game of numbers, you need to continously invest and expand or you will be left behind.

I think GLO's sojourn into Ghana really slowed them down here. Otherwise MTN won't give everyone so much gap. Etisalat came so late and the constantly changes of ownership in Airtel didn't help.

Please I've got some issues wit my nokia E5-00. I had to perform a hard format on it cos of some virus I contacted some while ago. I got it functioning again but since den I noticed I culdn't install jad files frm d web but I can install a jar file which doesn't need web connection to install. Also my software update tells me all applications are up to date but wen I dial *#0000* it shows not updated on d latest update and wen I try to check for updates d frm d options, there was no server profile. I created a server profile using d settings frm a friends E5-00 and wen I still try checking for updates using d server profile, it simply shows server not responding. I'll b really glad if u culd help me out wit these issues.. Sorry I forgot to mention it's details
