PoliticsRe: Flooding: White Man Paddling His Canoe In Victoria Island, Lagos (Video, Photos) by Kopatales: 2:20pm On Jul 11, 2017
I did witness a bit of the flood on the island and I was really scared cos I don't know how to swim, a lot of things went through my mind? what if Lagos was swallowed up by water? cry God forbid. My mum, on the other hand, stays on the mainland. She called and lamented to me saying the roof was leaking and that she couldn't sleep in the room, she moved her mattress out of the room and slept in the living room for more than 3 days. So I decided to write a poem about the flood. http://pimoeyoshodi..com.ng/2017/07/when-flood-storms.html

NYSCRe: How Relevant Is National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) In This Dispensation? by Kopatales: 8:04am On Sep 10, 2013
NYSC should not be scrapped. It's like given up on your right as a Nigerian youth instead we should think of ways to make the government improve on it and try to make the most out of it. Many people think its modern day slavery perhaps because of the impression they get at the orientation camp but beyond the orientation which i personally like to refer to as the incubator you have a world of your own where you become a major influence to the people around you. At that point a lot people expect much from you. If at that time i.e your service year you fail to make an impact then whatever you see you take.
In essence I believe Kopas should be able to stand their ground, let their yes be yes and their no be obvious because mediocre cannot pull through one service year successfully. You either end up with your bank account reading red, with an unwanted pregnancy, heartbreak, unemployment etc. I advise you leave the moment but bear in mind that NYSC is that stage you stand on where you have the whole state/Nigeria as your audience looking up to you to perform that song that will get you applauded!!!!
NYSCThe Essence Of Youth Service To Our Father Land. by Kopatales(op): 10:04am On Aug 20, 2013
I took a tour around some major states in Nigeria last week grin, I traveled through Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Kogi and my final Bus stop Abuja that fateful Thursday. I saw corp members brightly dressed in their 7 over 7 uniforms, faithfully going for Community Development Service meetings in their various Places of Primary Assignments then I began to wonder that apart from the National goal which the National Youth Service Corp was set upon in 1973, every single Corp members should and must have his or her own individual goals , aims or purposes that keeps you in the "game"? Let's have you share with us what is your drive? what really is, was or will be the essence of a full year service? To get a job, an opportunity to relocate and start a new life, to get a life partner or an opportunity to be an entrepreneur? Would you say you made the most out of it?

NB: Contributions are open to all! and would be much appreciated.
