Big B1:
Just like many other lost Nigerians, You continue to bash a man that is publicly asking to be given a change to come and clean up this country, but yet you find it very difficult to name a single candidate that can match IBB's magnificent capabilities.

We must look ahead of sentiment and allow a real leader to lead this nation to the promise land.
Now I see that you are into IBB's religion. Believe me I once, like many Nigerians, held on to his persuasive words. He is a serial liar - that is not bashing. That is the truth.

Look, IBB's case is like a man who ran over and killed somebody's son, then comes around pretentiously moping, and get this - asking for one night with your wife so he could help you replace your lost son. What would you say to such a man - you point him straight to Aro hospital!

IBB will rule for only one term and Nigerians will experience a lifetime miracle. You will never regret casting your vote for our one and only, the incredible IBB.
May God bless Nigeria.
Did you read that I asked him to change his name to "Jesus of Minna", the savior of the world, not just Nigeria.
Nigeria doesn't need miracles, we need good government and that is not IBB. He doesn't know how to make decisions.

Take this for example, he tells us that the 1993 elections were cancelled (although first it wasn't cancelled, it was annulled by the court in the middle of the night) because our democracy was in danger of being truncated prematurely. Guess what, the ensuing events show that he wanted to truncate it. Let's assume for a moment that we can believe this serial liar. What were those dangers? Who was behind it? Are they still out there? Bigb1 please inquire from IBB for us since he has told us to shut-up about June 12. If you don't, when 2015 comes guess what? IBB will bring the boogeyman out in the open for everyone - they are coming to get YOU, so I must continue in office. When you realize too late that you are dealing with the wolf, thinking it was sheep, well you can ask Vatsa about how that goes. Understand now?

Big B1:
Name 1?
You mean you are really that much into IBB that you see no better candidate from the North to move this nation forward other than IBB. From the North - what about a youthful, energetic Ribadu (oh is young - but he is the same age as the U.S. president your ~70 yr IBB would be yes-sir-ing if he ever (God-forbid) win.

What about Rufai. While Yar'dua was busy NOT doing his job look at what he did, even with how they were dragging his name in the mud and cuddling Ibori:
"He also attended post-graduate programs at Harvard Business School and Georgetown University. Since leaving public service, Nasir has completed an LL.B degree from the University of London, graduating in August 2008 with Second Class Honors, Upper Division, and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University in June 2009. He also received the Kennedy School Certificate in Public Policy and Management having been spent 11 months as an Edward A. Mason Fellow in Public Policy and Management from July 2008 to June 2009."

These are the kind of people that the North needs to send if it should be taken seriously in the Nigeria of tomorrow. There are many more- bottom line is we need people that can at least understand the word "Education" and that we can talk to without being told to hold our tongues when it comes to public policy and issues.

Right now you have someone sitting in the chair who can talk to the world from a vantage point of knowledge and you want to kick him off for a 2-bit general whose claim to fame were stealing government, and money and lives? Are you f**** kidding me?

A very large number of igbos supported zoning agreement up until yaradua died.

How does that sound?
The kind of majority that you and IBB are counting in Naira units in the night?

Majority of Igbo were looking forward to Alex Ekwueme's presidency in 1986/87, but it had to wait for someone's ambition. Correct, that would be IBB. His ambition set in motion 14 years of misrule, corruption and total destruction of the Nigerian fighting spirit. Never again we must say this time.

And whose words are you counting on again?

Good, let's talk about his. So, let's say zoning is even desirable. Where does it specify which ethnic group is president and at what time, and for how long?

Don't keep me waiting.

Another joke from the comedian from hell. Hear him:

"He also said after one-term in 2011, it would be his desire to see that power moves from the North to the South-east to demonstrate the full integration of the Igbo into the mainstream of the country, pointing out that, that is the only way to put an end completely to the 30 months civil war."

In IBB's mind if there is one thing that would pacify the Igbo nation 40 years after the end of a 30-month civil war it can wait - it can wait until IBB has had another 4 years to complete a 12 year rule of Nigeria.

For your sake I hope Igbo people are not buying this crap. Isn't the right thing for the North to say to the Igbo nation is this: "We want unity in this country, we 'll give you this turn and wait our turn in 2019. No, IBB promises he only wants one term - to do what exactly?

Wonders shall never end, but Nigeria will if it continues this way!

•Says South-east should provide president in 2015
From Aisha Wakaso in Minna, 08.12.2010
ThisDay

Former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, has said categorically that if elected president in 2011, he will not seek a second term in office.
Babangida who ruled the country as military president for eight years from 1985 to 1993 said his intention to run for the office of President come 2011 is only for one term.
He also said after one-term in 2011, it would be his desire to see that power moves from the North to the South-east to demonstrate the full integration of the Igbo into the mainstream of the country, pointing out that, that is the only way to put an end completely to the 30 months civil war.

The unstated problem about zoning, which is tearing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) apart, is what happens in 2015.
If the North, which is insisting that power should revert back to it to complete its two terms truncated by the death of President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, gets back to power in 2011, what is the guarantee that it would not insist on another term.

And what is also the guarantee that President Goodluck Jonathan, for whom those canvassing that zoning be jettisoned are rooting, will also do just one term if given the opportunity.
But the former president, who spoke to THISDAY in a telephone interview yesterday in Minna, said he is aware that the North has one term left after the demise of late President Yar’Adua, stating that he is not interested in remaining as president beyond 2015 if given the mandate.
Babangida added that his intention to spend one term as president if elected is to further reinforce the zoning idea and allow other parts of the country have a fair share of the topmost office.

The former president is one of the Northern leaders pushing for the retention of PDP zoning arrangement under which they insist power should return to the North by 2011.
PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) is meeting today in Abuja to take a decision on zoning and other crucial issues.
“In 2015, I will love to see that an Igbo man becomes President of this country so that it will fully put an end to the civil war matter and fully integrate them into Nigeria . After the civil war, they need to completely feel like Nigerians,” he said.

Babangida said his advocacy for zoning is not a war against President Goodluck Jonathan but a crusade for equity, justice and fair play as well as peace and unity, which General Yakubu Gowon fought to keep the country together.
He said: “When we were advocating for zoning, it was not because anyone had or has anything against our President Jonathan but we were advocating for zoning to maintain equity, justice and fair play in the country”

Babangida further stated that the idea of zoning, which has been causing uproar in the country in recent times, would only be complete after an Igbo man becomes the president of Nigeria in 2015.
If we must make every one believe that he belongs to this country, then it is after an Igbo man has been given the opportunity of being president in 2015 to complete the programme of fighting for the unity of this country by General Gowon,” he added.

1. Don't ask me about how I will spend your money if I am elected.
2. Don't worry yourself about fulfilling any promises I make to you after the election, in case I win.

What are your guessess?

Guardian

.HE has survived the murky waters of Nigeria’s power game, including bloody military coups and counter-putsches since the 1970s.
And as the waters get murkier towards the 2011 presidential polls in which he plans to participate, he may have unwittingly let us in on his staying power in mines field of Nigerian power play. The African steeped in the wise sayings of his or her forebears would readily recall one in this instance, to wit: “The yam mould of yesteryears scalds still the dipper’s hands”
And so 24 years after the gruesome murder of Editor-in-Chief, Newswatch Magazine, Mr. Dele Giwa, when he led a military junta and 17 years after he annulled the widely acclaimed June 12 1993 Presidential Election, former Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, yesterday announced that he would no longer take questions on these two epochal events that have continued to dog his renewed bid for the Presidency in the 2011 polls.
Consequently, Babangida has banned Nigeria and foreign journalists from asking him any questions relating to the June12, 1993, presidential election as well as Giwa’s murder, among others.
Also, Babangida has said that the continued detention of former Chief Security Aide of Late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha; major Hamza Al-Mustapha was unfair and he should be released forthwith.
Speaking with reporters yesterday in Gusau, Zamfara State, shortly after paying a condolence visits to the state Deputy Governor,  Muktar Ahmad Anka, over the death of his wife, late Hajiya Aisha Muktar Anka, the former military president told reporters that no question should be posed  to him in five areas.
Although, Babangida did not mention all the five no-go areas, he stated that he would not respond to any question asked on June 12, the Dele Giwa issue and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) zoning controversy.
His words: “Before you start asking me question, I want to tell you my rules. I have five no-questions-areas, so, don’t ask me anything related to such areas: one, the issue of June 12 election; another is anything about Dele Giwa, zoning and so on.”
But when  the reporters insisted on asking him about the zoning, Babangida said Nigerian democracy cannot continue without respecting the regional system of the country, stressing that the country had over 250 different ethnic groups across, and that as such zoning was imperative for peace and harmony to continue among these ethnic units.
He added: “Zoning has been in existence since the Second R epublic. Shagari was nominated as president from the northern region while Alex Ekwueme was elected to be the vice president from the eastern region of the country.
"The intention then was immediately Shagari concluded his tenure Alex could have been the next president of the country. So it is not a new thing to maintain the zoning formula.”
Babangida, who spoke yesterday on Voice of Ameriaca (VOA) Hausa service, monitored in Kaduna, lamented on Al-Mustapha's detention ordeal saying,  "It happened after I left office, but I know him, I have worked with him and I believe and I have said, they have not been fair to him.”
He added: “To leave him in detention for the past 12 years is unfair. I am among those calling on the government to release him. This is because what crime he might have committed has not been revealed for the past 12 years. Then there is no justice if he is not released. I am among those pleading and I hope he will be released. I am begging this government to release him.”

You shouldn't say this kind of racist crap.

It just so happens that I saw a white young boy with a face similar to what you posted - he was obviously a caucasian - he was in the company of both his mum and brother, both caucasians, and the rest of body did not have any black pigmentation. Would it be right for us to conclude then that the black part of his face makes black a disease?

The issue of race was used to deadly advantage against Africans by wicked caucasians for hundreds of years, perhaps thousands, but that doesn't mean that we need to go in the opposite direction. What we need is to lay bare those lies, liberate our people from the psychological damage of those ages, and work together for a prosperous world.

Ancient Egyptians were not Negroes like u and I. Lets stop the act of always pointing to Ancient Egypt as a positive African past. Just to let you know the mummy of a popular Egyptian Pharaoh , King Tut was tested, and his DNA was western European.
You either have an agenda or have accepted a lie as truth - either way you need to re-educate.

No Egyptian Mummy has EVER been tested to be "Western European". You will find this lie on some internet sites, but they are absolute bunkum. Go here to read the latest on DNA testing of pharaoh mummies (as of Feb. 2010) http://www.csmonitor.com/World/Middle-East/2010/0217/King-Tut-DNA-testing-sheds-light-on-how-he-lived-and-died. You will see that such DNA tests have been done for a few mummies, and nobody has been able to test for their race.

What archaeology and Egyptian records tell us about the lineage of King Tut show that this included progenitors now known as Nubians - black Africans. Ancient Egypt was obviously a mix of complexions, and many of the rulers throughtout its 1000s years of history were clearly negroid. In addition, it is gradually being accepted that the word race is really of no value because there are no real ways to classify race. Researchers now use what are known as halotype groups: http://www.htmlsd.com/haplogroups.htm.

Everyone on this planet is AFRICAN, and those of us that remained or have moved back to the mother continent are so diverse that the word NEGRO doesn't mean much, just like with the word race.

If you are unable to read the detailed history books at least follow this link to get both sides of the Egyuptian issue: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_of_Ancient_Egyptians, but reading recent history books, that have begun to correct past misinformation, will do you a world of good!

What is certain is that Egypt was the meeting point of AFRICA's ANCIENT, THE WORLD'S EARLIEST, AND LONGEST civilizations. Negros or whatever name you want to call us today were part of the mainstream of those civilizations at ALL LEVELS.

In case you are begining to dose off over the false calm of Nigeria's waters let the former Attorney General of the Federation wake you up from your slumber:
“The powers of the President are not exercised territorially. Yar’Adua can exercise his powers anywhere in the world, on the plane, at the meeting of the United Nations or even on his sick bed, as long as he is not incapacitated by the sickness.

“The President can exercise his powers through the vice-president and ministers while on his sick bed and that is what he has been doing. For example, the Chief Justice of Nigeria wrote a letter to the President and copied me that he would be retiring on December 31, that the President of the Court of Appeal has just retired and that their replacements have not been screened by the Senate.

“I sent the letter to the Principal Secretary to the President who transmitted same to the President who approved it and sent it back to me.”

Aondoakaa cautioned opposition leaders against making utterances capable of destabilising the nation, noting that “the powers of the President are embodied in his body. We don’t want to take issue with the opposition. We shall meet in 2011 and they will not succeed.”

Nigeria is potentially great, but we cannot keep putting ground-walking chickens in charge of our affairs. We need far-sighted hawks that soar in the sky! Remember this saga as you go to the booth in 2011 and say never again.

Personally, I think this is a joke taking too far.

It is difficult enough to fly or drive separately using current technology without attempting to combine the two. One mild fender-bender and that thing becomes unworthy to fly. Drive it at high speed and watch it confused about whether it should fly or stay on the ground. This will go the way of land/water vehicles - an impractical curiosity or Dean Kamen's IT (aka segway) that was supposed to rid American downtowns of traffic jams.

Someday, we will have the technology that doesn't know the difference between the two modes of transportation, but it is still ahead of us.

Still, I must say more grease to innovation. This is the kind of aspiration that a nation ought to bring out of its citizens, rather the unveiling of a 65ton cake - a fruit cake at that. And we know what they say about "fruit cake".

IBB should henceforth be known as the "Jesus of Minna" - save Nigeria indeed. What was his purpose from 1985-1993? I assume "saving" Nigeria - if that was IBB's definition of saving Nigeria, we need to take to our heels at the sight of him.

If he is serious about paying back anything, let him show us what he has done for the average Nigerian since 1993. The first realization of a true leader is that the person at the top does very little to actually move a nation forward - he is a mere coordinator, an overseer, but one who can easily get in the way of progress and do more harm than good by trapping collective resources to his own advantage.

IBB never changes. He sent people ahead to proclaim his coming to Ibadan, now he changes the purpose of the event after the fact. No respect for the Olubadan and all those who waited to receive him. The same deceitful, lying, but unfortunately believable personality!

IBB just needs to stay away from any government position - that's the best thing he can do for Nigeria at this point.

3) He says Nigerians have no brain cells. What did you do? You smiled sheepishly and begin to realize that we were right about him. However, your advice to him was to revise his words - then to let you know what he thinks of you (if you are Nigerian) he replies by saying that some Nigerians have two brain cells, but most have none - I guess according to huxley you are one of the two Nigerians with two brain cells, the other is dead.

Yet, here you are continuing to call me brainless, but you don't have any such name for your friend huxley. Alas, you are cameroonian and you are probably one and the same as huxley.

Too late in the day for you to start talking jazz about the Nigerian military.

I am going to leave you in the gutter by yourself. Roll to your heart's satisfaction. Knocking some sense into you - priceless reward for me.

Perhaps we 'll come to agreement on some other thread, perhaps not, we'll see, but on this particular thread you were dead wrong - and now you know it.

rethink:
@koruji another name for Asinine.

An Epitome of what it is to be brain dead. You say I am no Nigerian. You are right I am not your headless no thinking Nigerian Type. You have no intelligence hence I suggest you buy a very big fridge and lock yourself up so that you can start thinking properly because it looks like your brains thinks we are still in the ICE age.

Now to those that care Nigeria has the greatest Army(infantry) in the world. This is proof
1) Nigerian Army brought peace to Liberia with little or no little Intel on the ground
2) Nigeria dislodged a whole army Junta in a sovereign state (sierra leone)

I know we can beat 10 cameroun armies put together. Cameroun knows they cant stand us that is why they went to the international courts. If any nation attacks Nigeria then they have done us a favour.  I know the Nigerian Armed forces they are ready and Hungry for action. The armed forces of Nigeria are not happy dying at home in the hands of civilians trained by retired army general that call themselves "militants"
The Armed forces I know are trained for non controlled destruction. They kill you and apologise later.
