Why should he engage himself in such silliness? Oh, I see - that Maku said it is your proof! We know who you are then. BTW Maku also said you, Goddex, stole his watch. Now why don't you prove Maku wrong? How you people can believe your own glaring lies is beyond comprehension. Goddex: The ACN spokesman is focusing too much on tarnishing Maku's person instead of proving him wrong on the allegation that about 70% of the roads in Lagos Island for instance belong to FG and that all Fashola does is provide sanitation and traffic control. You see, our politicians are very deceptive because even when Fashola intervenes in Federal roads and refunds are made to him by Federal Govt, they will not announce it. Maku has this information at his finger tips and knew what he was talking about. |

This is why the SW must keep pursuing its own agenda within or without Nigeria. I cannot believe there are actually people in Nigeria that will speak evil of this initiative. PDP does not care about Nigerians - all they want is the so-called "power". They forget that power without service is actually "powerlessness". Gbawe: |

These jokers have no shame at all. Under a PDP government that project would never see the light of day, but the money would be spent. Everybody on the planet, except the eggheads in PDP, know that roads like this one are tolled because it provides a specific convenience to road users, to maintain it and to fund other regular infrastructure programs of the government. A state government is commissioning first of kind bridge in West Africa, federal government is commissioning "re-modeled taxi-park" airports. Need anybody tell you which party produced each of these. Hihihi.... But seriously there is much power left in the hand of governors, but your observation is right especially on security. The GEJ presidency is so bold as to try to "steal" state projects as their own. CROWÉ: Being a governor must be one of the worst jobs for someone who isn't a glorified crook to do, you get all the judgement and none of the power, because the presidency has cornered your share of it. |

I found out by accident that simply copying and pasting the name shown when you click "Share this Video" on YouTube embeds the video. That name is completely different from the URL. It is "ttp://youtu.be/Lm2scT2tBJg" instead of "ttp://www.youtube.com/embed/Lm2scT2tBJg" Note that I removed "h" from the above so it would not actually embed. chaloner: |

Medicine after death. They participated in the voting - it was only 35 of them in there for God's sake. It was counted with everybody looking on - and clearly Uduaghan (a GEJ/Jang) supporter was the returning officer. The Jang faction was confident of victory and could see no way to rig the vote - remember only 35 people in the room !!! Mimiko is a disappointment in suggesting that governors should go by a show of hands. This why elections are held by secret ballot - it is a private matter, a personal decision that nobody should be allowed to influence by any form of coercion. It is the signature expression of the freedom of choice in a democracy. This is not a vote among school children about going on recess. If GEJ was so dumb enough to jump in the NGF affairs, then Amaechi did right in taking the choice of the NGF chairman off the hands of his hand-picked sycophants. It is as simple as that. Anyway, here is the medicine after death video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lm2scT2tBJg chaloner: i think even amechi need not to be trusted. all of them are the same |
Politics / Why Did President Jonathan Miss His Speech At The AU 50th Anniversary? by koruji(m): 7:51pm On Jun 02, 2013 |
You know the question already. Sahara Reporters gave us a version of the story - and the video below from Dr. Damages is hilarious in driving home the SR position. I am a staunch supporter of SR any day - this outlet has, in its own way, helped to keep the excesses of our so-called democratic rulers in check over the last decade and more. So, whatever their shortcomings SR is undeniably good for Nigeria. However, I think they got the mathematics of this wrong. As much as I am disappointed in the performance of this administration I still refuse to believe that President Jonathan would miss his speech for such mundane reasons as being too drunk/upset over the NGF election. GEJ has said and done many things, but this would be the low of the low and a ground for impeachment if it were true. I believe this to be untrue. Also I do not believe the lie by Abati that GEJ was having side meetings during the speech. That is the line Aso Rock put out to drive home what I see as the main purpose of this action. So what is my take? It is this - based on the BH imbroglio at home "our" fellow African nations, always disposed to engaging in conspiracy against big-brother Nigeria saw fit to deny Nigeria the rightful endorsement for the open non-permanent seat at the UN. I think this group of vultures, meeting as they were in their Chinese-built/paid-for edifice and sleeping-off liberally, were going to give it to South Africa or some other "Western" favored country - such as Ghana. Let me say that it is not entirely their fault since there should be no reason for Nigeria to be in this situation in the first place if we had an effective administration. Nevertheless, it does not belong to any other African country to denigrate Nigeria for any reason. Look all over the place, Nigeria is always running around helping them quench fires that overwhelm their domains - South Africa, Liberia, Niger, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Somalia, etc. That none of these countries see fit to offer help to solving any of our problems is bad enough, but to use these as opportunities to ride roughshod over us is betrayal of the highest level. Anyway, as I was saying, faced with its own ineffective diplomacy and impending betrayal the GEJ administration seems to have gone kolo on the AU by deliberately leaving them in limbo when it was time to give Nigeria's speech. Why do I have a strong feeling this was the case? It is because President GEJ made no alternative arrangements beforehand, he did not even inform his protocol officials - everyone was caught unawares. This bears the hallmark of a stealth operation. I was going to put this down to some security situation (which would be another valid explanation), but when we note the fact that President GEJ came out to take photographs right after the session this reason falls flat (similarly the drunk and sick reason falls flat for this reason). With more competent hands African diplomacy should be a cakewalk for Nigeria without any need for such measures, but I'll say it was worth it - if indeed this was the reason. In any case, the above is my theory. Let us hear your theory, but meanwhile enjoy the hilarious clip from Dr. Damages. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-qadKmSaUs |

You think everything about God should be in Israel? Ah, such ignorance of our own history. Sub-Saharan Africa was known as the "land of the Gods" by the ancient Egyptians - way before Israel. Politics / Re: LASG Plans Total Water Supply By 2020 by koruji(m): 2:10am On Jun 01, 2013 |
Strictly speaking, boreholes are not good for the environment because they directly deplete the groundwater that keeps rivers flowing when the rain stops. Public water works rely mainly on large bodies of surface water. Apart from groundwater too many boreholes can cause other problems. Boreholes to public water are generators to the national grid. This is what I expect to hear from Gen. Buhari from here on. Nigerians are capable of recognizing good leaders without all the unnecessary fire & brimstone that come from both sides of the aisle. GEJ needs to go cool it and call his drugged dogs (Dokubo and co.) to order. arcis: Retired Gen. Politics / Re: Okorocha - NGF Election Was Credible, Amaechi Won by koruji(m): 11:53pm On May 29, 2013 |
Why don't you ask the President to abolish your family because of a quarrel - GEJ may be your lord and master that way, but keep it to yourself. The fact is that the governors have freedom of association. It is none of GEJ's business what goes on in this forum, other than to listen to what they have to say - whether to take their advice or not is his business. He just needs to keep his hands out of their pie - even though he may have supporters/non-supporters it is a SIN for him to so overtly attempt to manipulate the forum. It is to the credit of those who have decided to curb his excesses. This is like the OBJ third term saga - and we should be glad the national assembly stood up to him then, and the NGF is standing up to GEJ now. For those encouraging GEJ to continue along this path - you don't need me to tell you where it will end up. owobokiri: The governors forum should be abolished. Jonathan should then declare "no victor- no vanquished" Amechi style! It is nothing but a weird invention that serves no useful purpose other than to massage the ballooning egos of some wayward state chief executives. This group should be scattered and members forced to be more productive in their states with impeachment threats from Abuja dangling over their capitals like the sword of Damocles. . Okorocha should also learn where to draw the line between defending his personal interests and fighting for his states. His APC is DOD in Imo. Turning Imo into a hotbed of opposition politics when the state can do with a lot of federal help is counter productive and should be stopped. As productive as his two years in power has been, he should always remember that one of the main propaganda tools deployed against him by the opposition before his election was the charge that he was a northern stooge. Some of his recent actions and outbursts don't seem to help in changing this deep rooted perception. . |

Coming from you and the way you go about claiming ACN projects for GEJ your hypocrisy smells to high heavens. Is it really necessary that everyone listen to GEJ? If he had good things to say the newspapers and repetitions of it over the following days will ensure that everyone that cares hears about it. It is your likes that give GEJ a big head. He is our privileged servant in Aso Rock - not our lord and master (perhaps yours). Sincere 9gerian: I think these ACN people are taking this politics and competition mentality too far. The states and FG should collaborate to deliver services to the people. The ACN mentality of competition with the FG is petty and needless. |

Politics / Re: Sister Of Nigerian Terrorist Who Killed A British Soldier (PICTURED) by koruji(m): 7:10am On May 27, 2013 |
This is where I disagree with you. All of these do not justify that the boy, being clearly British, is being called Nigerian. If it matters so much to the British to recognize his "Nigerian-ness" against common practice, then it matters to us that we recognize his "British-ness". All they had to do is continue what he is properly described as: "British of Nigerian Descent" - but this was just a setup for the switch we now witness. Sure, by Nigerian law he remains a Nigerian - but last time I heard 40% of the London population is now of foreign descent. Those that were actually born in Nigeria, moved to Britain and now represent it in enviable positions are firmly known as "British" - why would any one switch that practice at this point but high-level hypocrisy. Your list of evil deeds that occur daily in Nigeria is irrelevant. Perhaps at a smaller scale, similar ignoble acts occur all over the world - but that is not the point. Let's talk about the epidemic of such acts in Nigeria separate from a man who imbibed religiously-motivated hate and revenge, and became less-than-human. There is no need to drag Nigeria and all the problems we have into this mess. Here is my take. If the British clearly identify extremist groups within their communities - particularly those who stand in corners of their streets calling for the destruction of the nation and killing of its soldiers - then they should ensure that bad things happen to them in the "middle of the night". Stop waiting until they visit their sick craziness on the rest of us. It baffles the imagination as to how a Black African came to believe "Afghanistan and Iraq" as "his lands" - and commit such horrendous murder in support. This was the same nonsense mouthed by that cursed pant-bomber Muttalab. Still, there is room for Nigeria to be more responsible for its "citizens" abroad - and at home for that matter. Jakumo: |
