Poverty: Poverty has shown people pepper in Nigeria, nowadays nobody wants to identify with anyone who can't contribute financially or other gainful wise to them. Hunger: LOL this one is funny but trust me, a lot of people are hungry in Nigeria because of the harsh economic condition of the country and nowadays a lotta girls hardly go out with you if you don't offer to buy them a meal Peer Pressure: This has done a lot to youths. Someone's friends can discourage them from going for their love interest. Fear of Breakfast: this fear is the beginning of wisdom when it comes to dating. Cheating: We all know! Feel free to add yours let's hear more ![]()

SeekerofTruth1:Did you see demand in anything I posted above? Please everyone deserves respect until some loose theirs, though it can be restored when lost.
|
SeekerofTruth1:Everyone deserves respect not just women, but sometimes they're denied that. You know what I mean |
The act of kneeling down to propose started in the 19th Century. This was copied from knights who kneel as a sign of honor when they are given the honor of knighthood. As we know, an African man is the type that learns another's tradition and practices it more than the original owner. The worst part of this is, that this very act now seems like a tradition here in Africa, some women even reject marriage proposals done without the man kneeling and most men think it's their obligation to kneel and propose. I'm a Nigerian and I belong to the Igbo ethnic group. Where I'm from it's the woman that kneels, and that's during the 'Igba Nkwu' (traditional marriage) of the couple. The bride kneels to offer her groom 'Nkwu' (palm wine) as a sign of respect, appreciation and to show everyone that the groom is her man. Today people jump to take actions without even asking questions. Dear ladies I mean no disrespect, as a matter of fact every woman deserves respect; but let this not be a reason for you to reject someone you care about. Igbos respect women that's how the saying 'Nwanyi bu ihe' (a woman is precious) came to be. Dear ladies it's not your right for a man to kneel to propose to you, please get that into that beautiful head of yours. Let's not blindly take decisions without being enlightened about it. Let's share our opinions, feel free to air your views As for me I won't kneel to propose and if you reject me because of that; then you're not meant to be my wife in the first place. I come in peace.

Connected1:You're right most times boys betray trusts by scamming those who trusted them. Scamming fellow Africans is the worst part of this Cybercrime; common! the poverty in Africa is too much, then someone sits down scamming some struggling in Africans. It's hurtful |
Qatar2022:Is this a prayer ![]() |
dgang:I concur it's a global problem. 9ja boys are learning work sef, UK boys are the maddest in the game. |
Angrygoat:A good number of these guys invest in cryptocurrency and other stuffs o! |
Gilbertkwabena:You're right |
Gilbertkwabena:They will never leave a person until he/she is broke o! |
Angrygoat:I have seen some that invest, finish school and travel abroad. The aim of this thread is to discuss the later consequences of engaging in yahoo yahoo |
What do you think about yahoo yahoo that is becoming the order of the day amongst our youths? A good number of Yahoo boys are using their money to do reasonable things nowadays, gone are the days of just buying cars, partying, going on shopping sprees etc. While some scam then go legit and abandon scamming Do they really pay for what they do or do they go scott free after scamming people? OR Is it just about morals? Nairalanders let's settle this matter here What's your take?

17 to 25 years precisely. What do you think about making money at a young age? Me: It's gonna be amazing and will make life a lot more easier. What do you think? |
virginprincess:It's not just about trust, a liar or a cheat can make their spouse trust them too. |
4. Too Many Secrets: Many people are not proud of their past, hence tend to hide too many skeletons in their cardboard. But the funny thing is, that secrets can't be hidden forever to say nothing of when they're plenty. One day something or someone will let the Cat out of the bag for example; the DNA trend we all know about. 5. Giving Social Media Too Much Attention: This has split many marriages. Social media is like a game, don't ever like it get into your head and destroy things for you. Imagine a wife or a husband using social media at a moment he/she claims to be sharing with his/her spouse, that can be so annoying. But such don't happen during our parents and forefather's time, you dare not. 6. Lies: In case you don't know, lies scatter marriages, expecially when they're plenty. I don't need to explain much on this. 7. Comparing Your Marriage With Other People's: This is bad, it has scattered many marriages. 8. Getting Married Just To Avoid Being Single: One day you'll be tired of pretending, and want to be out of the union. 9. Not Understanding Marriage Before Getting Married: Marriage is all about sacrifices and if you don't make the sacrifices, someone will and if the person gets tired, boom! It ends. All these reasons will show you why marriages don't last nowadays, but if you do things right, your's will last too. Thanks Stay Safe |
There are 9 major reasons why marriages don't last in this contemporary time, they are; 1. Excess Fornication: In this 21st century almost everyone knows everything about sex and are sexually active, including the minors. Children have sex nowadays to say nothing of adults, it's easier now to get a sex mate if that's your priority, with no strings attached at all. In a century where girls give their pride as appreciation for a birthday party thrown for them, birthday gifts they , Valentine dates etc. What do you expect? But during our parents and forefather's time it ain't like that, those days people rather marry early and stick with their wives unless she cheats or is barren in extreme cases. 2. Too Much Sex Partners: This is obviously rampant nowadays. This definitely makes the person that has many sexual partners to compare their spouses with their previous numerous sex partners and miss what they're used to enjoying with their previous sex partners. This happens on rare occasions during our parents and forefather's time. If a lady has a very few body count ('cause it's rare to get virgins nowadays), then she'll hardly have something to miss in her marital sex life. Think about this... 3. Reckless Pasts: Many people in their teenage years made a lot of mistakes that'll still rise a storm in their future, even if they desist from such lifestyle. Examples of such cases are; a damaged womb, children out of wedlock, sicknesses etc. This hardly happens during our parents and forefather's time. Apparently this happens rampantly nowadays because of the above stated reasons. |
Most times the things we want really bad can be made available by us. Most times we pray to God for things we can actually make happen, if we add more effort. Am not writing off the hand of God in actualizing our dreams, but we need to do our part and leave God's part for him. God cannot come down from heaven to grant your wishes, you need to make a move, so God'll direct you to your dreams. Never give up on any Dream that comes into your mind, God actually put that into your heart so you can achieve it. Work on yourself, so you'll be ready to receive what you're yarning for, also never forget be at peace with God, he determines who gets what, when and how... Even when the going gets tougher, be positive... |
slawormiir:Shit! Slow down on weed G! |
internationalman:100% right! |
internationalman:Don't generalize bro, loyalty exists |
internationalman:I don't even know why people misuse the word loyalty. Once it depends on benefits, its not loyalty at all. |
internationalman: That's not loyalty... |
gaius01:Not just relationship bro, I mean all round. It ain't easy man... |
Its really hard to be loyal in all levels, but we keep on trying. Because of loyalty I missed a cool opportunity some time ago, but shit's worth it though... Share yours! |
Its real, just dial *121*1#, and get 1gb for #200, which lasts for 7 days. Do it for 5 weeks and it will be 5gb for 1k. Its cheaper! It may not be for all sims; but if yours is among the selected sim cards to sport it, better utilize that opportunity while it lasts...

As a person you should be proud of who you're; trust me that's where contemptment starts. Nobody is bad naturally, but most times we humans make the wrong choices, which in turn 'paints us black' My mom once told me something that made me twig that; where a person is coming from does not really define the person; according to her if you're from a good lineage it doesn't automatically make you good. She's right... Yes! Of course, that's 'cause people automatically assume you're what your lineage is known for. Good news is, you can set your own standards & be a better person & avoid the mistakes your past generations made. Its all in you, you posess that power of freewill too, the actions & the choices you make today can build or mar your future. You can choose to develop, discipline & better yourself. When you do good, goodwill comes... When you've earned yourself goodwill...Tell me why you won't be proud of who you're? You're the original copy of who you're, in other ways, you're special!
