Literature / Still, I Feel No Shame. by krazydave(m): 11:31am On Mar 11, 2016
"….. is this what i sent you to do in school? after all my money, ehh Uche??…." mom's voice broke off into loud sobs.
I listened as everyone of them took turns to verbally assault me. Still unmoved, i sat with my entire being focused on dad, anticipating the first words off his lips. Waiting, for what seemed like the final judgement.

Well, you already know my name is Uche, and i am the favourite child of my parents. Ok, i used to be the favourite child of my family at some point, until 'unilag' happened.
Sitting here watching mom and every other family member display so much disgust at my two month old foetus has taught me two things in life.

First - "everyone's your friend, until you get screwed" and
Second - "my family is probably the worst on earth's surface ".

Yes, I shouldn't be pregnant at age 17. I should have been in class like every other normal 200 level student instead of turning up at every single party organized on campus. I'm very well aware of that, but, if mom had been present through out my secondary school days to teach me sex education or whatever it's titled now, my life would probably have turned out differently. If dad had been more like a father, instead of a financial sponsor, I would probably have an entirely different story. If I had spent my early teenage days with my family, instead of a boarding house filled with girls, I would undoubtedly have turned out to be a normal teen aiming for first class. But well, you can't always have it all in life now can you?

Its two years now and I still am anticipating dad's first words concerning this issue. I'm guessing he's scared to say what he really feels, or maybe he's just a coward hiding behind the silence, or maybe it's cos we no longer live under the same roof after being disowned.
But like I said, two years now and still…. I feel no shame.
Uchay.

Misplaced priorities.
Although husbands are hard to find these days, she still should complete her school first.
Religion / Re: Why Pray? by krazydave(m): 8:57am On Dec 22, 2015
The only reason you think this way of prayers is cos' your definition of the term is wrong.
Praying is simply communication with God. Its meant to be a dialogue not an asking session.

Also, Maturity in the spirit (deep term, yeah!). But if you're mature in the spirit, His will becomes your will, so there won't be any 'asking against His will'.

Romance / Can You Date A Spiritual Guy by krazydave(m): 11:07pm On Oct 26, 2015
For the ladies, can you date a 'spiri koko' guy. Like 100 percent spiritual?? If not, to what level can you go.
Religion / Re: What If God Is A Myth! by krazydave(m): 12:38pm On Sep 30, 2015
They'd lose a lot. The peace, the tranquility. The ability to belive, and do right selflessly. The lives you turned to be like you and the one-less destruction you helped prevent from happening. The suicidal they converted, that criminal that 'gave his life', the prostitute that found hope and reason to survive.

Don't you get it??..... There is never a loss in Christianity. 'Christianity' is more than just the existence of Jesus... No!, it's living selflessly, living for your next neighbour and the good that affects the world. Christianity isn't about if Jesus is or isn't, it's about the impact and change you bring to the world.
We lose NOTHING.

Romance / Re: 5 Things To NEVER Do Even When In LOVE by krazydave(m): 10:40am On Sep 03, 2015
@MrBrownJ

Love is not an excuse for foolishness. I've seen most friends humiliated by the people they once fell in 'love' with after a minor breakup.
Like I stated, except your 1000% sure it's leading to marriage..... then everything listed above can be neglected.
Romance / 5 Things To NEVER Do Even When In LOVE by krazydave(m): 9:04pm On Sep 02, 2015
No matter how in love you might be, except your 1000% sure it's marriage fam..... don't do these.....

1. Exchanging Social media Passwords:...
Mehn!.... I know girls can be demanding when it comes to sharing passwords. But common, if all the "I love you" he says isn't enough then she better swerve joor. How will you share your password fam, so that when you break up she can post nasty stuffs on your wall telling everybody that you've got a small d¡ck or something of such...

2. Free access to your apartment:...,
I've got a friend whom after breaking up with his girlfriend, she came secretly through her personal key and raided his apartment, destroyed his valuables and even picked one or two documents. Scary right? Well, you better keep your keys to your self then.

3. Sharing of nudes:....
Learnt this from school. Some weirdo guy exposed his babe's private nude pics just cos she broke up with him. I don't even get the whole point of the d!ck-puss¥ sharing of pics self.

4. Unprotected sex.:.....
With all the baby mama trend which is gaining popularity anyhow, you better stick your 'long thing' in your pants rather than sticking it anywhere all in the name of 'Love'.

5. Can't think of a suitable number 5.... I'm sure you've got your opinion or options..... Abeg use the comment board and em....2
Nairaland / General / OPINION: Urgent Things Needed To Improve Nairaland by krazydave(m): 7:08pm On Aug 31, 2015
Disclaimer: Incase of typos, please forgive. and yeah, everything listed below are figments of my imagination.

Truth is, most of us (like it or not), have grown to love Nairaland. It remains the number 1 site on my browsers history.
but,
to be honest, little or no change has been made to improve the love we've developed.

So I'd like for us to point out several changes and improvements we'd like oga Seun and Co, to add in order to improve this haven...

my suggestions

1.More emoticons

Not comparing the site (nairaland) to BBM, but, one thing hat makes BBM a successful and fun site is unarguably the emoticons they've got their. Emoticons will not only make chatting fun, but also assist all our sisters (clears throat) that finds coherent spelling a tug of war. [the middle finger emoticon would be greatly appreciated grin ]

2. Better interaction with mods and super mods

This guys do a lot and it's only a shame we know little or nothing about them. Better interaction would not only improve the site but members can also share helpful details and suggestions with them. All for Nairaland's development. *also we can get to know more people to call for our posts to reach front page..... ishilove and lalastica can rest small

3. Ability to block 'derailers'

mehn!!! There's nothing more annoying than taking time to research and type a comprehensive post and some cretinous species (forgive me grin) would just show up and spoil the entire thing.
I feel every op of a post should have the ability to ban or bar such people from their threads themselves.

4. Chat rooms....

[Flashback] Remember that thing during the days of 2go? yeah!, imagine a live chat room here on nairaland?? damn!!

oya, over to you guys..... list things you'd love to see happen on Nairaland...

Ladies in the house, this growing trend of not wearing pants and bra has left me wondering....

As a guy, not wearing boxers and singlets out makes me very uncomfortable and 'empty'... and yet it seems to be the growing trend amongst ladies these days.

How do you guys manage sef??

I must say going through the entire posts, it's easy to conclude that (MoST) nairalanders are either immature or lack simple life's experiences.

Yes, 8 months is long enough to have waited for 100k to be refunded. Yes, she (jenny) was wrong to have blocked and neglected the OP.
but,
If you take a closer look at her use and choice of words, you'd know she's not at all educated on the 'moral' ethics of business and yes, has insulted several people, but she's only using that as a base or disguise to cover her shame.

She obviously had delays or a challenge with the business. For the fact that people can vouch for her only nullifies every allegation of fraud. This topic shouldn't even have made it up to the 5th page.

And all those headed towards tribalism.... Y'll bunch of mofos, lunatic kids with an opportunity to afford 5MB and yet, rushes off to waste it spewing trash (no Insults intended).

I believe issues can be resolved with out tribal wars and childish characters displayed at the background. and, it's not necessary to comment on every thread guys..... happy Sunday grin

Religion / Pastors And Assistant Pastors by krazydave(m): 10:12am On Aug 30, 2015
I've been in several churches for various reasons and I've always noticed the same thing....

Assistant pastors are never given their full rights (sort of), no matter the amount of calling on them. Most assistants can't prophesy, conduct deliverance or healing services like the main pastor.
why is this??.... isn't it limiting their gifts??
