SportsTrapattoni Set For Cote D'ivoire Job by kris(op): 6:56am On Jul 01, 2014
The veteran coach revealed that he accepted an offer for the vacant position at the helm of the Elephants, but dismissed suggestions of a role as the Italian FA president

Giovanni Trapattoni has announced that he is set to take the reins as the new coach of Cote d’Ivoire, nine months after his departure from Republic of Ireland.

The Elephants endured a disappointing World Cup, losing a dramatic game to Greece to crash out of the group stages, which prompted previous coach Sabri Lamouchi to resign from his position.

The highly-decorated Italian coach has since revealed that he turned down Morocco to take over the Cote d'Ivoire post and sang the praises of leading scorer Didier Drogba.

"I'm going to become the new Ivory Coast coach, everything will be official in a couple of weeks," Trapattoni told Rai Radio 2.

"Morocco offered me a job too, but I took 48 hours for myself and eventually chose Ivory Coast. Drogba? He's a great player."

Trapattoni also ruled himself out of assuming the presidency of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), claiming that he was not prepared to merit such a high-profile role.

"I don't think [it] would be a good idea, it's a very important job and I didn't study enough to deserve it," he said.

Trapattoni, who has served as boss of AC Milan, Juventus, Inter and Bayern Munich in a stellar career, is one of only four coaches to win league titles in four different countries.

SportsName Your Starting XI Against Germany by kris(op): 12:26am On Jul 01, 2014
The Super Eagles have done the impossible and trashed the French squad by 5 goals to nil just as predicted by most Nigerian fans on Nairaland.

Now they face Germany in the quarter final.

My probable starting XI against Germany is thus.... ...Vincent Enyeama... ...Juwon Oshanuwa...Godfrey Oboabona...Kenneth Omeruo...Efe Ambrose... ...Ogenyi Onazi...John Obi Mikel...Osaze Odemwingbe... ...Ahmed Musa...Emmanuel Emenike...Victor Moses... The Big Boss should settle for a 4-3-3 or a 5-3-2 formation...Something Tells Me That The Super Eagles Will Advance To The Semi Finals...Good Luck Nigerians,,,cum 7pm on Friday,we shall be Celebrating...Go Super Eagles,,,Go Nigeria...
SportsRe: Keshi Must Go? by kris(m): 12:20am On Jul 01, 2014
mikeansy: That's an opinion not a proof

Mikel was slow 10 years ago, how old was he?

A proof is providing an alternative birth certificate or birth registration details or that sort of evidence that the dates provided by the players are wrong
Mikel was not slow 10 years ago. Mikel won the Silver Ball in 2005. He was hot back then.

Your people lie and cheat about almost anything, na age dem no go come lie? Abeg comot here!

And I also gave an example of my good friend wey dem reduce his age by 10 years.

Abi corruption no full Nigeria anymore? So how you go come try to argue here?

Naija man dey do fake visa we dey beat immigration people, na fake birth certificate dem no go fit do? Abegi.
SportsRe: Keshi Must Go? by kris(m): 10:55pm On Jun 30, 2014
mikeansy: .

Do you have any proof to support your argument?

Arjen robben would be speculated to be 40 if he was Nigerian. The same is true of Diego Costa
I just gave you the proof you need.

See how una players slow. The Naija under 17 will beat our Super Eagles.
SportsRe: Keshi Must Go? by kris(m): 9:29pm On Jun 30, 2014
mikeansy: Well the players that went are younger than Obafemi Martins and John Otaka who are still playing professional football
The players are relatively young
You simply have no undeniable proof that our players are not as young as they say they are.
They're younger than Obafemi cause they chose lower age than Obafemi.
It doesn't really mean they are younger.

Obafemi is still very active for his club. He's not sitting on the bench.

Have you ever wonder why we win the youth championship, but none of that translates to the senior team?

Why do we have very talented "young" players that never really fulfill their potentials when they grow up?

I support Nigeria always, but make we no deceive ourselves.

I have a friend who ran 100 meters for Nigeria. The Naija association removed 10 years from his age to get him in.
So yes I do know they do it.
SportsRe: Keshi Must Go? by kris(m): 8:24pm On Jun 30, 2014
mikeansy: May be Keshi is not very tactically minded
I like Keshi's preference for youth but he needs the best youths

Keshi should stay on but sent on further coaching courses and helped with better scouting. He should consider other Nigerian assistants who can improve him technically.

But let this be the last time we make last minute whole scale changes on the eve of tournament.

Onazi had no replacent today and Babatunde has no replacement.
The full squad that won AFCON would have won this match

Ogude could have come in for Onazi and Igiebor for Mikel
Which youth? You believe all those fabricated ages? Why you think say Mikel and Messi started at the same time but only one of them still dey improve?
Why is Mikel slow? Maybe na old age. I think these people dey remove easily 5 - 10 years from their real age.
SportsRe: Costa Rica Vs Greece World Cup (5 -3) On Penalties On 29th June 2014 by kris(m): 10:59pm On Jun 29, 2014
Costa Rica screwed up. Why was the keeper always kicking the ball to the opponent, instead of taking it out by short pass to players?

Short passes and be quick and you waste time that way. But they just keep returning the ball to the Greece.

I was supporting them, but now it's whatever.

TravelEpassport Experience At Embassy Of Nigeria DC by kris(op): 7:09pm On Jun 14, 2012
Do you know of anyone that has gotten his or her epassport recently from the DC embassy?

Please share experience and tips.

Do they mail out new passports now or do you have to show up in person to pick up?
How long does it take to be ready?
After filling out the form online, how soon is the interview? 1 week? 2 weeks? 1 month?
Do they keep the old passport or do they give it back to you?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

FashionWhich Is The Best Nigerian Magazine? by kris(op): 11:32pm On Jan 08, 2011
Hi guys, I need your help.

We're currently looking for the best Nigerian magazine for the money to advertise our website (www.sexynaija.com)

I've looked at Ovation but their prices are out of our budget range. We're looking for something around $500.

We ran an ad some years ago in a Nigerian magazine and we got quite a few registrations from it.

Let us know what you recommend.

Thanks.

Exactly! The client saw it and said in Steve Ballmer's voice "I like it, I like it a lot!".

WebmastersOvation Magazine Website Sucks Cock! by kris(op): 10:59am On Jan 07, 2011
In my search for a Nigerian magazine to advertise www.sexynaija.com on, I came to the website of Ovation magazine www.ovationinternational.com

Man, how can a company with the funds to build a real site, settle for such a thing? And I'm pretty sure they paid good money for it too.

They have these badly done flash animations all over. Color combination is wack. Design Wack. Na wa o!!!

I'm sure there are many people here on nairaland that can do a better job, but they give it to someone just 'cause they have connection.

The Copyright © at the bottom says 2010, but really that site is stuck in 1995.

Due to the Recession and the growing numbers of Africans in developed countries,
Mcdonald has started offering African dishes.

I decided to try their $0.99 value meal.

The menus are listed by countries, so I picked a Nigerian dish.

I went with McEgusi

WebmastersLife After Marriage Through Nigerian Online Dating by kris(op): 5:54am On Mar 20, 2010
As an administrator at sexynaija.com I come across people who joined because they have a friend that got married through sexynaija.com
It puts a smile on my face when I hear of stories like that, especially when it's through a dating site I work on.

I'm sure this happens on other Nigerian dating sites too, which brings me to my questions.

1. Do you know of a Nigerian who got married through a Nigerian dating site?

2. Which Nigerian dating site did it happen through?

3. How's their life after Marriage?

4. Is there anything in their married life you blame on online dating?

Thanks in advance for your answers,
Kris.

Thanks for your humble opinion, though it doesn't sound humble. lol just kidding.

I'll work on it, but I want some white on the sides for aesthetic reasons.

I'm changing some of the designs I don't like much, so when that is ready I'll go into the size issue.
