I need advice. I am planning on migrating to canada via express entry (currently in the pool with a CRS of 485) but this would be without my wife and son as this would drop my crs score considerably. The route i plan to follow is to apply for a visitor's visa and spousal sponsorship when they come over.

My questions are how long would it take to get a visitor's visa and can i start this process at any stage while in Nigeria? (Potentially when i get
a PPR?)

Also, is there a thread that talks about this in more detail?

Do you mean the cash is low? My Hubby needs 4,000 CAD and my kids 3,000 each = 12,000 cad in total, and the total amount in his personal acct is a 9.8million naira, Business account is 3 million Naira ... And the attached rental income also is there ..

Am so so sad, my hubby's SOWP and LO applications got rejected!!! Don't know what to do, with over 13m in the account, Has anyone been in this situation?, aside from ordering GCMS notes, what else can we do? No 1) I don't know what informed you decision to have allowed your wife to leave Canada knowing what cost you guys to get the family over there .

No 2) As per your wife SOWP, she can't get any approval until you get ur PGWP añd work for like 3 months so that you can include letters and payslip in Job with NOC O,A,B.

For now, your wife will wait if she doesn't have a valid ETA to come in as visitor.

I recently graduated and I have applied for my PGWP, not yet received for 3months. Last month I applied for SOWP for my spouse because the one she had expired September ending and she went home to visit her parent so she is outside Canada. We were waiting for an approval then she can come back. This evening I received a mail from them that the
"After careful review of your work permit application and supporting documentation under the International Mobility Program, I have determined that your application doesn't meet the requirements of the IRPA and IRPR. I'm refusing your application on the following grounds: . Eligibility for a work permit in this category only applies to the spouse or common law partner of a work permit holder who is doing work that is at a level that falls within National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels 0, A, B." I recently got a job but in a Noc C but when the new teer system is implemented my skill level would be changed to a recognized skill for express entry.

Please what do we do now. We are so sad and confused

Send it in a mal to Nairobi and tell that you are waiting for the ppr since September...

Please my ppr dropped since 20sep. IRCC requested we send a Consent Letter for my 2year old son's visiting visa. His dad signed and notarized the form, it was uploaded since 23rd September but till date no ppr for him.
It's going to 2months now, we have been sending webforms and mails all the while.

Please what could be the issue, has anyone experienced this before, kindly help with possible solutions.

You can do your medical with a copy of ur passport. You only need a doctor ascent on it at the IOM office

Seriously my sister , I shouldn't have replied that mail, over excitement caused it.

So we cancelled the medical appointment at IOM Lagos for 21st and booked an earlier date for 2nd Nov.

We have sent mails to VFS telling them to hasten the return of his passport so he can do his medicals since it won't be stamped.
VFS sent a vague reply this morning saying his passport isn't ready for pickup. Meanwhile if got to Abuja since on Monday, I wonder what they are doing with it if it's not going to be stamped.

We are patiently praying and waiting, hopefully, it comes back before 2nd of November.

Please whose portal did you use for the application? Is it your wife portal or the husband created his own portal and apply through it?

My SOWP and my 3 children's Study Visa applications have been approved by IRCC.

1st Applications

Our 1st applications made in June 2021 were all refused on 25th September 2021. The main concern of the VO, as revealed in the GCMS note, was that my wife, who is a Masters student in BC, filled on her application form that her family would not accompany her to Canada. The VO questioned the truthfulness of my wife's statement in her application, when we now applied for visas while she was still in Nigeria. VO said other things which we considered circumstantial.

I came on this platform then to seek for advice and I really obtained valuable advice from members. What did we do?

2nd Applications

We filed another application on 8th November 2021 with my wife explaining the reasons for her change in plan. We filed additional documents showing strong home ties by exhibition of pictures of our parents, Affidavits of birth of our parents and affidavit of births of my siblings. I also exhibited some share certificates, together with landed property. I showed rent receipts issued to our tenants.

Along the line, my wife wrote her MP sometime in February 2022 seeking for a status update on our applications. The response was that criminality check was passed and nothing more. Our upfront medicals expired in April 2022, but I refused to go for any more upfront medicals. If they are ready, they will contact us. I was drained, both emotionally and psychologically, noting that the journey began in June 2021. I only held on to God, as a lot was at stake.

There was a time I read an email IRCC had sent to someone here requesting for updated transcripts of his student spouse. I took the initiative by sending my wife's updated transcripts sometime in late April 2022. I have a feeling this had a positive impact on our applications.

Boom, medical request showed for my children and I on 16th May 2022. We quickly sent an email to QLife who gave us an appointment in about 9 days later. Medicals were updated to "pass" for my children on 7th June, while they got their PPR on 9th June. For me, my medical was updated to "pass" on 8th June, while my PPR only came today 29th June.

In between my children's PPR and today I sent their passports to Abuja last week Monday and we received the stamped passports yesterday, Tuesday. I almost sent another webform today planning to exhibit my children's visas and seeking a quick response on my application. By 9am today, 2 "donotreply" emails had come into my inbox.

My wife travelled to BC since September 2021, leaving me with 3 active boys, while IRCC kept playing the delay game. Thank God it has ended well.

I wish to say a big thank you to members on this forum who were responsive to my questions at the relevant times. Really appreciate.

To everyone still waiting, hang on there. It's not over until you have won. You can't afford to give up. Keep praying and sending the webforms, the golden emails will surface shortly.
