A referee collapsed and died in Abuja on Wednesday during the annual referees fitness exercise. Osita Nwadashi, a member of the Lagos State Referees Council, was taking part in the exercise and was on the verge of completing the running exercise when stopped and called for medical attention. But he slumped soon after and failed to respond to all attempts to revive him. He was taken in an ambulance to the National Hospital, Abuja where he was pronounced dead. Ahmed Maude, President of the Nigeria Referees Association, confirmed the incident. "It is a sad day for all of us," Maude said. "He was one of our more promising young referees." It is the second time in three years that tragedy will follow the referees annual training. In 2010, two referees Oyetola Oatunde from Oyo State Referees Council, and Faloye Matthew from the Ogun State Council both collapsed and dies in similar circumstances. |
Anytime NFF says they are broke,,,i begin to wonder when it comes to football,Nigeria participate in almost all the competition worldwide..are they not being paid? What about the Nation cup we took, where is the money? Seriously there is something this people are not telling us... |

When a national team score a goal,Nigeria of all ethnicity and religion will JUMP up in JUBILATION and be screaming ONE word,,ONE LANGUAGE in ONE voice "GOOAALL!!!" That moment we forget our ETHNIC and TRIBALISTIC sentiments, wether it was scored by an HAUSA,an IGBO or a YORUBA man.... We love the feelings,we cherish the moments and we sing with ONE voice......"Up Super Eagles,Up Flying Eagles,Up Golden Eaglet and Up Green Eagles" when we talk about those games....we talk about "NIGERIA" with ONE voice we always wish NIGERIA the best and support NIGERIA with our great man power to go all for the "GLORY" for the interest of "ONE NIGERIA" NIGERIA can work,NIGERIA can be a better place,NIGERIA can move forward if the HAUSA man can support the YORUBA man in government,if the YORUBA man can shun every ETHNIC sentiments and SUPPORT the administration of the IGBO government.... Look at the Golden Eaglet......The HAUSA man (YAHAYA) passes the ball to the IGBO man (IHEANACHO) and the IGBO man tries and dribbled his way out of the huddles just to set up the YORUBA man (AWONIYI) to score the GOAL..... That one GOAL that was fought by the COLLECTIVE responsibility hard work and contributions of all the ETHNIC nationality for ONE common GOAL (Interest) that will Benefit,Elevate and Sky rocket this ONE Nation to a greater hight and achievement(s)...... We should learn from this,we are ONE NIGERIA and that ONE greater NIGERIA will only be possible if we chew this our habit of ETHNIC Sentiment and RELIGIOUS bias...... Up Golden Eaglet UP Super Eagles Up Nigeria YES! YES!! YES!!! |

Arsenal can build him like Dennis Beckamp or Davor Suker...Wouldn't be a bad move at all...My only fear is that when he becomes a great player now, England will start begging him 2 play for them...They are begging everyone these days, even if ur are Osama bin laden's nephew, they don't mind |

Nigeria's Under-17 female national team have qualified for next year's World Cup taking place in Costa Rica. The Flamingos automatically booked their place in next year's showpiece following the withdrawal of their South Sudanese counterparts from the qualification race. The Nigerian girls were billed to face the South Sudanese in the first leg qualifying encounter at Juba between November 1 - 3, but following the withdrawal of their opponents, the Flamingos have become the first African team to qualify for the competition. "It’s good that our team has qualified early. The Nigeria Football Federation will ensure the team starts preparation early enough and very ready to do Nigeria proud," NFF's General Secretary, Musa Amadu says. The competition is billed to take place between March 15 and April 5 2014 in the Costa Rican cities of San Jose, Alajuela, Liberia and Tibas |

Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson has paid a glowing tribute to Nigerian prophet TB Joshua, claiming the controversial pastor prophesied the Black Stars heavy win over Egypt in the first leg tie of the 2014 World Cup play-off on October 15 in Kumasi.http://www.ghanasoccernet.com/richard-kingson-attributes-black-stars-triumph-egypt-tb-joshua/ |
And yet we laughed at Malawi FA and called them broke when they were in financial crisis while we are owing our own couch for the past months,,no wonder the NFF had problem Siasia cus he could not withstand it.for the fact that Keshie and his crew are not complaining, then something else is involved that we don't know.. The Kilmarnock FC midfielder collapsed after a collision with Ross County's Ivan Sproule in the 35th minute, and was subsequently stretchered off the pitch and rushed to a nearby hospital. Kilmarnock went on to record their first win of the season as Scottish international striker Kris Boyd and Jackson Irvine scored in either half to seal the win for the hosts. After enduring torrid spells at Sporting Lisbon, PSV Eindhoven and Celtic, Ibrahim's career has taken an upward trajectory since joining the modest club, as has featured in all the clubs ten League games played so far this season. Kilmarnock are placed second from bottom in the 12-team Scottish Premiership. http://www.kickoff.com/news/38269/kilmarnock-fc-midfielder-rabiu-ibrahim-rushed-to-hospital |

Ethiopia coach Sewenet Bishaw warns the Super Eagles that their qualification for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil is by no means guaranteed despite their first-leg Play-off win. Nigeria beat Ethiopia 2-1 in Addis Ababa on October 13with the return leg scheduled for Calabar on November 16. Bishaw told the Ethiopian Heraldthat he would ensure that his side would make life difficult for the Super Eagles. "I am a sad man because we lost despite playing so well in the first hour. We were on top of the Eagles but suddenly lost our focus and got beaten. We did not deserve to lose the match but it is not the end of the road for us," Bishaw told theEthiopian Herald. "We have to pick ourselves up from this defeat and look to the positives, which were there. We can certainly make things difficult for the Eagles in the return leg. “I believe that the tie is not yet over. We still have 90 minutes to play in Nigeria and if we take our chances, then we can qualify. It is definitely not over for us," he added |
No sentiment,,but if Drogba was white,he would have won the best player in the world award... |
