Do you have any other symptoms like fever, vommiting or headache?

Paracetamol may relieve the pain. If it does not, and you are not an ulcer patient or have any other reason not to take NSAIDS, you may take Diclofenac tablets 100mg 12hourly for 3 days.

Then see your doctor if the pains continue or get worse.

@kudibaby the cost of hsg is from 10k to 20k it depends on the location and centre and pls zero your mind even if it is painful is not sometin you can't bear,the procedure is less than 20mins before you know it will be over the most important thing is for you to know the status of your tube.moreover you will be given pain relieving injection or tablet before the procedure and as such you won't feel any pain.

Hi,

There is really no way to say conclusively if a cyst is malignant (cancerous) or benign (not cancerous) until a histology test is perfomed with a specimen from that cyst (or ovary) after its removal (surgery). Hence, what the doctor said is a fact. However, caution - rather than haste -is highly advised, as malignant ovarian cysts are reasonably rare.

Factors suspicious of malignancy in the cysts found are the presence of internal septations in one, and the multilocular nature of another. However, these are not conclusive signs of malignancy. Absence of free fluid within the pelvis (inferred) and absence of solid components in the cysts are significant factors against malignancy

I think you should think less about whether the cysts are cancerous or not and focus on its removal or not. I cannot have an objective opinion here as I have not seen you; moreso I am not a gynaecologist (yet). So listen to your doctor, but make sure he is a consultant gynaecologist, preferably a very experienced one.

There is also the option of observation, whereby these cysts are watched over the months to see how their characteristics change with time, but your doctor should be the ultimate guide in this.

Removal of the cyst could be a cystectomy, whereby only the cysts are removed, leaving the rest of the ovary intact. Considering that you are ttc, this should be the way to go for you -at least initially.

Cyst removal may also be via oophorectomy, whereby the whole ovary is removed. Again, your ttc status means this can only be considered as a life saving procedure. Sometimes the whole ovary, tubes, and womb are removed (salpingo-oophorectomy + hysterectomy), again if life must be saved at that cost.

If you are going to get it removed, make sure you are 100% clear of what the consent form says might be removed before you sign.

In order to certainly say wheather those cysts are benign or malignant, you will need its removal + histology/cytology.

well 400mcg is the recommended dosage but I'm aware many people are given the 5mg tablet cos that is what is usually available. It is not overdosage.

You may also discuss with your doctor regarding omega 3 fatty acids, coenzyme Q and vitamin c and e.

But generally, intake of green leafy vegetables and fruits will provide you with your nutritional needs as well, along with a balanced diet.

What I did differently this month is taking red raspberry leaf tea.
Iv actually stopped taking all multivitamins (I doubt if dia is anything mentioned on dis thread dat iv never taken). After all d test and nothing is seen to be wrong, I just got tired and left all to God, but I was convinced I had implantation issue, after a lot of browsing, I decided to use d red rasberry leaf tea, was just able to get d original last month (holland and barret) and I used it for d first half of my circle, my period was weird, still spotting a week after I started ( never experienced that) and lo, I had implantation bleeding on cd26 and confirmed wt hpt on cd28 and blood on cd3

A mid-luteal (CD 21 for a 28-day cycle) progesterone test will comfirm if you are ovulating. Alternatively, follicular tracking using a transvaginal ultrasound will also comfirm ovulation.

pls leave out fertilaid, if you're on pregnacare conception, it has enough folic acid with other vitamins needed for conception. But gives some fake pregi symptoms, that's why people prefer to use just folic acid which is the most important for men and women. Bd every other day during your fertile days. Hope your dh's sfa is good.

@Kudibaby..relax your mind and go with the flow..perhaps you aren't bd when you ovulate..or u ovulate without knowing when exactly..forget what the books say..try to bd well during ur fertile period..starting from the day after ur period ends and on..keep a relaxed mind..stay positive..don't harbour any fear of 'what if I don't conceive'..u can always try again..where theres life there's hope..also tk lots of fruits..water melon most especially.I believe ure fine dear..dts my own advice..let's hear wat oda mamas hv to say

@kudibaby 4mcg folic acid shld be taken daily by women of childbearing age but I just started takin d 5mg folic acid I cld get arnd here. U can also add the pregnacare conception to make sure u are preparing ur body for conception. Other mamas will add dere input. God wil surprise u wit bfp dis cycle IJN.

Transvaginal scan is a type of scan whereby the probe is placed into the vagina rather than on the abodomen. It is non-invasive, not painful and shows ovarian and other pelvic structures in much more detail.

The progesterone test is a simple blood test done in any special lab, and in any tertiary hospital. You can either demand for it from your doctor, or get it done by yourself from a competent lab, and get interpretation from a doctor. The test must be done on day 21 of your cycle.

I strongly feel that you do not have ovulatory problems. If you have the money and time, do the tests. Otherwise, save energy and stress until his tests are proved ok.

Discuss with your doctor to invite him for at least a simple seminal fluid analysis. Seventeen months is too long for a dh not to have done this.
