Politics / Re: Nigeria Ranked 2nd Poorest Nation in the World by kulaShaker(f): 11:27pm On Jul 14, 2007
People
i am not surprised if they say it is a poor nation, i agree. A nation where millions go to bed without a meal is POOR. A nation where millions are homeless IS POOR, do not judge it by the billions of oil we have , because that is like saying a person with a credit card and no job is rich. Do not say because you see some people drive the latest cars, or have a Big gated house, or can send you and I abroad to live that the country as a whole is Rich. Only a handful really are rich(including the president, ex-presidos etc*treacherous bastards). This does not translate to a rich nation

I saw the real Nigeria when i looked in my brother's computer, he does lots of humanitarian work all over West Africa and our state is pitiful.

Yes we are poor , poor in vision, poor in leadership, and running low in spirit(thanks to ethnic propaganda bullshit) I wish you all would see beyond your own little existence, don't let the frivolous things fool you, when you go beneath the talk and spin, Nigeria is POOR!!!!!!!!

youndchild:

I think my entire family is using witchcraft on me. They did something so that my vision was effected, meaning that I would think that I'm seeing things but they are not actually real. They have also been able to make me hear voices, at one time they were controlling my every action. They are also using some type of magic to make me very paraniod, and make it seem like everyone is against me. I know this because I went to a Native Doctor here in Canada and he told me that my family had put 3 spells on me. He did something to remove them, but I didn't follow his instructions properly so I don't think it worked.

At this time I think the power of the spell is decreasing, as I don't see as many signs of hysteria as was going on before. What are your comments on this? Right now I just pray to God everyday, to stop what is going on.

Youngchild

please go see your doctor i think you are either schizophrenic or have borderline personality disorder, or some kind of neurosis. I am really feeling for your plight right now. One of my friend's schitzoprehnia started like this, exactly thesame symptoms, those idiot babalawos are just taking your money, use the money to see a psychiatrist and get yourself well. My dad (RIP) was an epitome of what a Man should be. He was the damn best. My mother was treated like the Queen that she is, and he took care of his responsibilities as a man. Therefore, I deserve the same treatment as my mom, thus my aim in finding a mate like my dad,
good for you! that's fantastic, at least those who had bastards for fathers know what you are talking about. good on you is what i say . Mine was a pig so don't really matter

@fromuk
you don't get it, she means someone as good as her father, a girls life apparently is shaped by the relationship she had or has with her father, after all he is the first man she got to know. got it? smiley

i am a lesbian and i don't think gays and Lesbians have any business leading churches, but hey i don't make the rules, same way i don't think Gay and lesbian people have any business getting married. If i went to a golf course and they say to me no jeans or boots, then i would either not wear the offensive items or not bother going to play golf. simple as that

ThiefOfHearts:

The fact that some Nigerians in the name of SHAME would rather dress like some smurf in the name of looking "intelligent" is hilarious. Yardua graduated as a chemist, right? Who wants to bet Bush and his suits arent half as smart as the guy? Bush is known as being a major idiot around the globe even with his suit so what damn difference does it make? Nonsense

Gosh this thread is so embarrassing.

tell me about it. right smurfs. this is why i say half of the suit and tie wearing bosses GIMPS in Nigerian companies are not fit to run a beer palour

babyosisi:

No one is against our trado wears but when it comes to international meetings and tours, these people ought to leave those agbadas at home. we have imbibed several Oyibo ways already and wearing a suit will not take out the Nigerian in a Nigerian.

why should it depend on when and where? our traditional wear is part of our identity, nothing wrong with our leaders wearing them, yes we have become western in some ways, but what i say is wearing trado , why the hell not?

babyosisi:

We wear suits at wedding, suits to job interviews, suits to most formal ocassions.
Anyone here in the States knows our flamboyant outfits can be a bit of a distraction when worn in some places, our leaders ought not to be identified by their outfits,it's not necessary.

IT IS A VERY WELCOME DISTRACTION IF YOU ASK ME.  you think it is , i don't think so it is not about what they wear rather the quality of words that come out their mouths when abroad, i am not worried if they wear the biggest agbada, as long as they are eloquent and represent us well and never kiss ass.

babyosisi:

When I watched interviews with OBJ on CSPAN when he visited here,he would have looked a tad more intelligent if he wore a suit and tie.Wearing those babarigas and ever throwing the sleeves over the shoulders coupled with talking so unintelligently made him look like a slowpoke.

is this for real or am i in some beer filled rave? you what!!!!!!!! he would have looked more intelligent in suit and tie? no no no please i won't say any more just think about that statement.
this is the very same mentality that gets any gimp in a suit and tie a job in Big companies in Nigeria, my brother works for the united nations and he told me in Harare where he is based white people who just come from England and Ireland dressed up looking the part get jobs, there was a scandal about this issue because they looked and talked the part and yet half a dozen of them were found to have had fake degrees.

NOTE: it is not about what you wear or how you look, if you see my bro on your local streets you would think he was a small boy with no job, yet he has over 100 people working under him in Harare. dressing means shit, drop that mentality
Religion / Re: Why Do Some Men Hate Going To Church? by kulaShaker(f): 5:18pm On Jul 11, 2007
i think it is because some men do not like being preached at. some hate the idea of some bloke who knows nothing about them wagging a finger at their direction presuming to know more about them than themselves undecided
