XaintJoel20: The first question that pumped out of Mama Nkechi's mouth was "where you follow?" another question followed in quick succession from another neighbour, who you see for outside"? Then another question, "you no know wetin dey happen for outside"? As this point I was surprised and didn't know which to answer first. Then my gut told me all wasn't OK. I asked them, 'wetin dey happen'? They didn't answer. At this point I left them at the tunnel to continue their meeting while I dashed to my apartment.
While inside, I was restless and deep in thought as to what could have happened that would warrant such an assemblage if my neighbour at that unholy hour. Being a phone addict, I reached out to my phone and quickly forgot the scenes that has played outside.
The next day being Sunday, I woke up a bit early and rushed down to my barber's shop to have my beard shaven since I couldn't move out previous night after the suspense my neighbours threw up. I met the shop locked which is the usual thing as he doesn't opened on Sunday morning. I rushed to his house, which is a stone thrown from his shop to call him. He obliged me and followed me to the shop.
While he was doing what I went there for, I told him why I couldn't come the previous day as has been the custom, which was Saturday to have my beard shaven, it was at this point he told me someone was shot in my locality that same Saturday. He tried all he could to describe the guy and his house. The description had little or no impact because the more he was trying to describe him and his place, the more I was confused. After a nice shave, I paid him and hurried down to the church even though I got to the church a little behind schedule.
Faster forward to Tuesday, 2nd October, I went to do some repair work at my place of residence, when I was almost done, one of my neighbours pleaded with me to help with hers. After I had promised to help her, she opened her mouth and told me what really transpired on the Saturday. She told me how some ferocious looking dudes storm the house, while some surrounded the house, others headed straight to my room, in search of the occupant of the apartment.
The guy who packed out of my present apartment before I parked in is a notorious cultist, who is well known for is heinous acts in that neighbourhood. On that faithful Saturday that they were engaged in their usual battle for supremacy, the rival cult group came to my apartment to look for him, oblivious of the fact that he has packed out some months back. They stayed for some time and waited for the occupant to come back from wherever he went to. This was the time I was in my shop doing things that ordinarily were not useful to me, but God used those things to keep me back in other not to fall for the claws of death. My saving grace on that fateful day was that I was not in the house. They probably would have shot me dead before realizing it's a case of mistaken identity.
God spared my life from death.
May his name be glorified forever and ever...
Please relocate if you have the means There might be reprisals attack from those guys God will continue to guide and protect us all
ModsareChevres: I know many people will be shocked to read this based on my staunch support for Ambode in the just concluded Lagos APC primary.
I supported Governor Ambode majorly for 3 reasons. The first being my sincere desire to see Lagos become free from the shackles of godfatherism. If Tinubu were in Ambode's shoes, I would have supported him! The second is performance.
All the same, let me share my personal experience with Governor Ambode.
It was in 2016. I was walking along Obafemi Awolowo way towards Allen junction (Ikeja, Lagos) when I heard a convoy approaching.
Behold, it was my beloved Governor Ambode. I was excited. Not that I wanted any favour from him. I just was just happy to see him in person even if it were for just a moment. Please pardon me, I like seeing VIPs in person even if I don't talk to or meet them. I have once seen Tinubu in person. I was happy to though I wasn't close enough to greet him. The day I saw Pastor Tunde Bakare, I approached and greeted him after his orderly cleared me and he responded warmly. The list is long...
So I decided I was going to deliberately look in his (Governor Ambode's) direction as soon as the very vehicle he is seated in, a Range Rover, passes by me. I targeted him.
Then the moment came!
His Range Rover passed. He was seated in the vehicle. I looked in his direction. He looked at me and in a split second took off his face in an extremely snobbish manner that says 'I don't give a damn about you. Get lost!' I wasn't expecting him to stop and greet me or even wave. But I wasn't expecting the awful snub either.
Wow. I was downcast. But I took it like a man. Of course, I didn't have a choice. So it's possible Governor Ambode is a very proud person.
This is my first time of sharing this story on and offline.
All in all, I still wanted Governor Ambode to have a second term. I didn't and don't begrudge him, still.
It's unfortunate many Lagosians can't be like me. They just couldn't forgive him.
A battle may have been lost. But there is still a war to be won. And it's not about Ambode. It's about the ultimate freedom of Lagos.
I feel you bro and can identify with you on this one. It reminds me of same thing during fashola regime i was standing in front of my office gate on younis bashorun off ajose adeogun at vi 2009 precisely,it was a Saturday afternoon and i must confess it was a day i still relish till today and will forever. The convoy was quiet and no sirens but he did not only wave at me but rolled down his window to wave back at me,i felt so fulfilled and belonged too. Morals of my experience is that you will show who you really are when you have power and money.my opinion
At this point, Politicians are busy looking for how to be successful in their primary elections and forthcoming general elections, nobody get time for impeachment o.
Those that wont make it back after primaries might be the spoiler never say never
Addy003: Same thing done to fashola and Ambode awaits you, there was never a fight! Direct primaries turned to the normal 'baba sope' rule... I pray ambode defects to PDP, then let's see your strength with lagosians, I mean the masses against ambode
I am having a feeling that if ambode eventually is frustrated out of APC things might take a twist during general election and history might be rewritten My opinion
adelawn: This is the type of election APC govt are known for, how on Earth will a thug be the one conducting an election that should have been the sole responsibility of Inec or delegate of the APC national working committee. May God help us from this godfatherism politics in Nigeria
Video evidence to back up your allegation or i dont bilif u

The 33 Strategies of War, is a book by Robert Greene which stands as a "Guide to the subtle social game of everyday life informed by the ...
military principles in war.". Greene, Robert,
"Do not proceed only out of pride. Stop before it gets worse." Do you think Ambode's fight is for self or the people?
"Know your limits." Some people engage in gambling and they win, they pump in more money, not knowing when to stop and end up loosing all.
"Use deception where you do not have the economic means to expand" Ambode should not have used submission to disarm his distractors.
"Do not rely on technology and equipment, rely on your knowledge." Do you think having served 4 years, Ambode has the political sagacity to withstand Jagaban, without whom the president today would not have been?
"Retreat to solidify troops and support." When you see a goat retreat in a fight, in local parlance we can it "Gidigbo", it is not a sign of weakness, he does so to garner more powers.
"Frustrate the opponent by refusing to fight." A bait was thrown at him in the person of Sanwo Olu, and he took it hook line and sinker when all other avenues for reconciliation has not been exhausted.
"Be aware of internal spies and disarm them." Not everybody around Ambode are his friends, spies abound. How do you think one senate president was always able to predict the moves of the presidency and outsmart them eventually.
"Hide your observations." Sometimes being vocal can be foolish as you expose your strategies to your enemies.
Make your opponent start the actual "fight". What do you think about how Ambode attacked the personality of Sanwo Olu?
"Wars of self-interest are short and defined." Is this APC war for the betterment of Lasgosians of self?
"Lure your opponent to attack to use guerrilla tactics effectively." Submission is not stupidity, it can be an asset later
"When fighting allies create mistrust between them dividing their ranks." Ambode has track records that can work for him, which he can use effectively, especially the civil servants.
"Be patient, time is your ally." This is a flower that does not grow in any man's garden.
"Silence can say more than words." How does your wife or girlfriend feel when they discuss with you and you do not respond?
"Befriend your opponent and work from within their mind". Bringing them closer to know their next move
"Succumb to others, while covertly fighting" Stoop to conquer.
Let me be quick to add that, i hate any form of godfatherism or the likes, but he Ambode benefited from the establishment. Even if the Presidency routs for Ambode, it is the delegates that will vote, not the presidency or "mere" wailers on social media.
After the Osun State rasmataz, who could ever think Ambode, who has endeared his name in the hearts of many Lagosians especially for his innovative projects and love for civil servants and eh citizens at large will outsmart a veteran in the game? But i like the whole twist, i expect some revelations and fraternizations in the coming days, especially as the opposition party now has a reason to believe they can win Lagos come 2019, taking advantage of the internal wranglings in the ruling party.
Regardless of your political affinity, let us come out and vote come 2019, it is our civic responsibility, which gives us a moral right to suggest and criticize as will be required.
Whereas an average Yoruba man is cunning and deceitful (my views), they still wear a toga of respect and unity of purpose.
I agree with this, exactly what the formal apc national chairman before oshiomole cant remember his name again explored such tactics and believe me you will see him been appointed for an office if not now but in future when they .must have settled their rift
Anduku: Fury has the potential to shock Wilder but my fear for him is after years of inactivity can his stamina carry him for twelve rounds against a fighter like Wilder?
Exactly my fear, besides that am confident fury is no match for wilder.

odogwu9: Nigeria We Hail Thee! PAT UTOMI SCAMMED OF 22.5 MILLION?
After buying APC gubernatorial form worth N22.5 million! aspirant Prof. Pat Utomi from Delta state didn't know where the APC primaries venue was, talk less of getting there on time as no one told him nor showed him the way to the place.
But unfortunately for the Professor, the primaries have being held and Great Ogboru has being declared the winner while he's still looking for the venue. What a country , What a party -APC Wonders shall never end
CilicMarin: While APC electing and selecting the best candidates as their Standard Bearer, PDP Is busy churning out crooks, looters, Murderers and 85 year olds as their candidates.
When the election proper comes, and the electorates start returning APC candidates as winners, PDP will cry rigging and start writing Donald Trump, UN, FIFA, EU and Theresa May.
You're very funny, U forgot to mention UEFA,PGA tour,EPL self
edunwablog: Adebayo Shittu, Minister of Communication, has said it would be his pleasure to participate in the National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC).
The minister, who was recently screened out of participation in the governorship primary of the party, for not participating in the NYSC scheme, had earlier insisted that he didn't need the certificate since he had done "higher service" in the Oyo State House of Assembly. However, on the programme, State Affairs, which was a interview by Edmund Obilo, recorded on Tuesday, Shittu said he would be willing to participate in the scheme.
Asked if he would be ready to participate in the NYSC scheme, he said: "Of course, I would go. It would be a pleasant thing to go. After I'm a governor by the grace of God."
He also said he would be ready to serve wherever he was posted, stating that "I'll serve in any place, if it becomes necessary for me to go."
When asked if he would still participate in the NYSC scheme, even if he doesn't become governor, he said: "If it becomes necessary, I will. Courts would have to decide whether serving in the House of Assembly and being minister is not superior and does not replace service in the NYSC."
Olohunjedalo: PDP died in 2015 and was buried . But Saraki and co exhumed the corpse when they defected this year . Come 2019 . We shall cremate that rotting corpse and throw the ashes in the Pacific Ocean . Shift small make I dance my brother . https://j.gifs.com/L83OAp.gif
dodelight: you don't have to. but with what i witnessed in the last 30minutes, if i happen to vote in next year election i won't wait for the counting cause my polling unit is at the freedom park. i even wished i'd gone to my parents place in alekuwodo earlier today. but it's all calm now. they're waiting for inec to declare them winner
As much as I condemned electoral violence in its totality and commiserate with my lawyer bro who was attacked. In its statement he was asked if he's an electoral observer he said no and said he was invited by seun okinbaloye of channels tv to come and contribute his own observations to the event. Why not stayed with your host who probably would have some security protections around instead of going to a place where you're eventually attacked by thugs, for his own safety. We all knows that politics in naija is always do or die and most times it won't involve the politicians family but instead a passerby . Next time i will advise bro to always take precautions in such situations to prevent such occurrences if there would be any. Sorry oooo naija shaaa
omoadeleye: Davido, easy with politics oo, politics games is not those small small entertainment fight oo, just tread softly and God will made you triumph
Thank you so much for this little piece of advice I have been wondering if he really knows what politics in naija means and not the garagara fight he picks up in the club's and pubs around. I hope someone who loves him like us and close to him more than us will tell him to tread softly and enjoy his entertainment life quietly. I have heard the uncle talking but in all honesty he doesn't have any political charisma as for me. They appear too buttery for naija political terrain.
