In my opinion, a big petrol-engined V8 is not the best for transportation, at least not if quicker returns, and lower running costs are paramount. Sitting in traffic, a big-capacity V8 petrol will slurp fuel at an alarming rate, especially if the air con is switched on.

I'd be inclined to go for a 6-cylinder turbo diesel, better mpg, better low-down torque, better long-term durability. A diesel engine runs at a lot lower temperatures than a petrol one, and will give better service, with the same maintenance.

There is a small block V8 engine available. (5Ltr V8). Petrol consumption is very similar to a V6. And it wont get bugged down fully loaded on hilly roads.

Kunle did you notice while the auction was going on for the bugatti I guess, for the 1st time I saw dealers actually hold both hands together, I guess so as not to accidently bid on it (normally you have dealers running round, making phone calles etc). Pretty neat vehicle tho.

Its a heavy car. 99.99% were there to watch. Only few people are actually bidding. Neat to be there tho.

Why dont you go to cotonou. When you see the car you want copy the vin and post it on NL. You can actually get reply in few hrs or a day max. You have to post in the "VIN REQUEST" thread so as to get a quick response.

So the moral of the story is that be prepared to stay in cotonou for about 2-3days. Or come back to Lagos and return to get the car when you are satisfied with the VIN.

You will rather wait a day than end up with a junk. You dont have to leave Cotonou same day u know. Even if you buy a car in cotonou, you will wait until it can be crossed to Lagos to you anyway.

i hate to break it to you. You are much better off getting a new gear and replacing the bad one. Then sell the as soon as you can. at least that is what i will do if i were you. Ford windstars are not necessarily known for their reliability.

Something like this will cost you N2.4m to your door in Lagos. Its a 2003 with a 94k miles. Which is considered low for the year. Very Clean.

Its all inclusive. Clearing and all. The IS350 are somewhat more expensive. Especially to get them in such a condition. No salvage. No fixer upper. It also has the Navigation too.

Used cars has different grades as you know. This is the King of the hill. More pics for you.

The G-Class has a sort of different story. The jeep was OFFICIALLY imported by Mercedes Benz, USA in 2002. Prior to that, independent importers will go to Germany and import few for those who really like to have them. Those are European Specs and are referred, in the Auto industry as a "Grey Market Vehicle". A Grey Market vehicle is a vehicle that wasn't officially brought into the country by the manufacturer.

So Mercedes decided to be importing them OFFICIALLY in 2002 after they have seen that there are enough interest in them. People like the jeeps. A manufacturer has to be sure that they can sell enough volume before they start importing the car themselves, otherwise its not worth the effort. They have to break even at least, but profit making is the ultimate goal.

Its quite possible to find some G-class imported individually before 2002, hence the possibility of the G320 but its not a guarantee. People who buys them are usually fanatics/collectors of such cars. But nothing is impossible. Will keep looking out.

Have you tried looking in Naija very well? Possibly Berger. Since its an European Spec, might be there already

The G class benz was re-introduced in the US in 2002. Hence there is no US spec older than that. May be European spec is available. I am not sure. Anyway, the lowest model in the US is G500 (No G320) here in the US.

The G500 below will cost you N5million delivered to anywhere in Nigeria. Mileage is 95,000 miles. I am a registered dealer here in California and can assist you with any other request you might have.
