What are your specs? Are you looking for already on ground or shipped from the US? Any mileage restrictions? You can send me email : promise72@yahoo.com |
jcross22:So you mean that a Nigeria man cannot be trusted? ![]() May be you should speak for yourself pal. |
Do anyone in the house know how much to deliver a towable compressor in Lagos and Ibadan? How much is the compressor itself renting for? Thanks a lot. |
The reason installmental payment is not very attractive in Naija is the possibility of getting the car back in case of a non-paying buyer. Lets face it, there is no way you can give out 5 cars on installment and i can almost guarantee you that at least one of them will default. So what do you do? Even if you know where the person lives. There's really nothing in place that can help you get the money. Even if you go to the person house and the wife/gateman says he is not around all the time. Most companies in Naija will prefer to deal with corporate lease/ hire purchase. There is a reason for that. If you are a dealer and you are netting like say 10% profit on a deal, even a 50% deposit on hire purchase will ruin you if the client did not pay cos 40% of your investment is still out there. I am sorry to say, there are people in Naija that have no intention of paying you back when they apply for the hire purchase cos there's really nothing in place that will force them to pay or any repercussion if the CHOOSE not to pay. I am glad that you have your car. |
yours:Quite fast indeed. Good job Dejinco. @ yours Will you kindly share how much you eventually buy the car. if you did buy it or at least how much is the asking price. Is this in naija? Good luck. |
what year/model? pics? |
I will admit that i don't know too much about bikes and especially Nigeria bike scene. What bike models are considered the "it" bike in Naija? Models? Year? Fast sellers? Might be able to help. |
carlinks:My apology. I dont remember knowing you. Just baffled me that recent pics are not posted. I am not forcing you to post pics. Any misconception of such is an error on my part. I sincerely do apologize for any misunderstanding. Good luck in you sale. |
carlinks:Are u for real? You dont even have the pics of what u wanna sell. So a buyer from lets say Abuja will have to come down to Lagos first to inspect without knowing why he/she is coming? Sounds fishy to me. You are not prepared to sell the car. Good luck with your business idea. |
Rothstein:Wao! ? The first time bribery doesnt work in Nigeria! God help us. |
Emperoh:I am not Sultaan. Kunle is my name.I am in Southern California. I am not sure where sultaan chime in from. Good luck. |
Emperoh:No problem. Remember, i am a registered dealer here. Let me know if i may be of any help. You have my contact info above. Regards. |
Regardless. CURRENT pics of the car in Naija is what matter most. A lot could have happened since he bought it ![]() |
Emperoh:There is no RORO from CA going to Nigeria. Do u currently have a car for shipment here? The closest RORO option will be Galveston on the Hoegh line. I can help you get it there in case you need. It will be about $700 thereabout.(Higher for SUV/Jeep). Distance of roughly 2400 kilometers. You have the option of trucking or being driven. Driving it will be about 2-3 days or so. You might consider being driven if the ship is leaving very soon. Otherwise it will take about 8-9days on trucks (cos they pick/drop along the way). Vehicles here in California tends to be somewhat cleaner (especially older rides over 5years old) and rust free. Also, there are more registered vehicles here in California than anywhere in the USA. Although it is extra cost, it will let you save face from angry customers. The container route out of California will take you a little over 2weeks longer than other parts of the country when containerised. They transit via Europe before coming to Naija. Africa RORO lines comes straight to Africa. But hey its California You can forward me email if you have any other question(s) : Promise72@yahoo.com |
parates:Camry, in my opinion has a better build quality than Maxima. Not that Maxima are bad per se, but toe-toe, built quality wise. The max doesnt have an option of a 4cyl. Hence, the cost of operation will be higher than that of a Camry (unless of course you get a 6cyl camry). Max can be prone to some electrical issues especially if you let someone who doesn't qualify to touch it. Camry can still tolerate few electrical missteps. Lastly, when you re-sell, camry will sell for more than a maxima as a naija used. Of course you paid a little bit more for the camry in the first place. I hope you are clear. |
parates:i would get a camry. maxima is a little bit cheaper tho. |
Everything in life has a beginning. Sometimes you have to put up with those things that you dont like to get you what you like. Employment will let you sharpen ur skills at someone else's expense . And you might learn things that will make you a better enterpreneur. There are some corporations that will only promote people that start from the bottom to management, there is a reason for that. People who think that being your own boss mean that you can "open/close whenever you want" "Get out of bet anytime you want" are sadly mistaken. Let me lie to you: "Enterpreneur are employees of their customers" You have to be able to adapt to customer's need and concern otherwise you will be out of business. If customers expect you to open shop at a particular time, it better be open when they get there and have those things they expect to buy otherwise you are out of business. You have to grow the business constantly and stay on your toes. These are things that the "slave" dont have to worry too much about. Everything in life has its merits and demerits. Good luck in your venture. |
what type/liter size. be specific |
Cheef:If i were in your shoe, there will be no tough decision to make. I will go for a super clean and clean titled Toyota 2002 4Runner or a 2003/04 Nissan pathfinder. Either of those cars will not cost you more than 2.5m at most for an exceptionally and discriminately clean one. That leaves you with 1.3m. I suggest that you fixed it at a bank or get a land somewhere in ikorodu area for not more than 400k/plot. Buy 2 plots. Survey and do all necessary documents. You might still end up with about 100k-200k. Go home and sit on the couch and don't you worry about a thing.Nothing do you. For the fact that you have 3.8m to spend doesn't mean that you should spend all 3.8m on a car. There are more pressing needs than a car. Another alternative is to buy either of the Jeeps. With 1.3 left, you can still find a clean 2000/2001 camry. Drive jeep when needed or drive car when needed. No more dilema!. The jeep will go to bad road area and the car will go to other places. Buena Suerte Amigo ! ![]() |
Rothstein:Really. Some way to pull a leg tho. ![]() |
bandore:Which i understand. But did u remember somewhere the buyer called the seller "Bit#h"? Well there goes his chances. |
@ Seller, Let me wade in for a second and i must warn you that you might not like my angle on this issue here. You have definately been dodgy or downright dishonest in your posting. It took you forever to put up the VIN and the VIN doesn't even match the year of the car. I must tell you that, i dont even think that the picture are of the same vehicle. No engine pics or full interior. One of the pics is in Cotonou and the other was strategically taken to be deceitful. You can call me whatever you want. However, i am taking you to a task to take the full pics of the car standing from all angles and engine bay. Lets see that background that its actually in Nigeria. Also, take the VIN pics too. If you are here for serious business, then act like a serious businessman. You want people to leave their house for something they are not totally sure of? Hmmmmmm. You are some businessman indeed. |
Rothstein:First, let me ask you to give me a posting that the cost of the car is <$5.5k. Then we will compare the features. Cos i can tell you now that sunroof and alloys are not standard features on a Camry. Also, how were u supposed to get car to the port? No cost will be incured? Whatever, AES quoted you will be what it will be from the port. Its ur responsibility to get it there. Also, coupled w2ith the fact that you have to search for the car. At least you dont buy the first car that you find. And the clearing for N200k, i can guarantee you that it will be slightly more. So please get us one posting that is showing the car at your price and we will compare. And by the way, i dont even know the seller. Im waiting! |
bandore:Not a chance. That wouldn't be fair to her. a deal is a deal. she dont have to lose on it. Car was sold without warranty (expressed/implied) hence, that's the way it shall be. |
tlife:"TOTAL LOSS" doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing. It is used for vehicle that are "theft recovered vehicles". For example if a car is stolen, the owner reports it stolen to the police/insurance company. As far as the insurance in concerned that is a loss, hence "total loss". If the vehicle is found later, it now belongs to the insurance company (cos the owner is already settled) and they will sell the car at the auction. In my own opinion and from all i have read, a Freelander is not exactly a car i will call reliable. You are better off buying a 4Runner/Pathfinder. Even though Nissan/Toyota may be common everywhere (and i know Naija's like exotic/one of a kind). However, if the buyer has bought a Nissan/Toyota, he will still be enjoying his ride at the moment. I will not personally spend my $$$ on any Landrover product! They are generally too problematic from my opinion. That doesn't mean that the seller sold a bad car or the buyer didn't shine his eyes. Its just an unreliable vehicle in general. There have been people who start having problem with their Landrover/Rangerover same day/week they bought it brand new. As a matter of fact, this is a quick and true story: About 3 months ago, a wrestling champion won a Brand New Range Rover HSE in Las Vegas. The guy lives here in California, which is just about 4 hrs away. The car broke down (Brand New car) on his way back to california. He has only driven the car only few hours. He has to get it towed! Below is a link to the article and a picture of the broken down rover. http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/blog/cagewriter/post/Dan-Henderson-wins-a-fight-loses-a-working-car?urn=mma,176452

rhymz:This is the problem with Nigeria. Why are we so adamant in recognizing our problem? The first step in solving a problem is recognizing it!. It has nothing to do with either shameful/proud of being a Nigerian. Why can't we highlight whats good about others and try to emulate? Facts are facts. Or is patriotism equals being blind to the facts too? I need a lot to learn then, Mr. Rhymz! |

rhymz:Your reply smell immaturity. Plain and simple. And i doubt if you have been in Ghana before. There is a reason a lot of our guys are attending school in Ghana. You are definately too young to remember when Nigerian schools are full of Ghanaian teachers. I went to school then. They have a way more better work ethics and discipline than Nigerians. Do you know why Michelin (or Dunlop) moved out of Nigeria to Ghana? Keep arguing blindly. You be small pikin. ![]() |
