Autos / Re: Cant Someone Get A Good Car Deal On Nairaland? by KunleA2(m): 11:31pm On Mar 04, 2012
It depends on what you are referring to as "good deal"

As long as you are realistic with your expectation, you won't be disappointed.

Don't be like those people coming here looking for a 2006/2007 Honda Accord EOD Leather for N1.5m

And they want clean title, clean ride and Lagos cleared.

And even if you advertise something like that for N1.5m, someone will still come along and price for N1m  undecided

What do you say to that? If your expectation meet reality, you won't be disappointed.

That does not say that all prices on NL are reasonable but most are.

Good luck in your search
Autos / Re: Regarding : 1983 Mack Dump Truck by KunleA2(m): 8:15pm On Mar 04, 2012
i know you do. you can either ask the seller to help you with trucking or i can arrange the trucking for you.

You provide the dock receipt and the title. it will be dropped to the port for you.

I do it all the time.

Car Talk / Re: How Many Days Does It Take To Clear A Car ( Nigerian Customs ) ? by KunleA2(m): 11:21pm On Mar 03, 2012
luvtoyota:

Can any expert in the house educate me on the exact number of days it takes to clear a car through Nigerian customs at Tincan ? My friends have been inundating me with questions and I can't give a definitive answer .
Thanks

Average 4-5 days. EVERYTHING BEING EQUAL.

EVERYTHING BEING EQUAL AS THE KEY WORD!

However, there had been a computer system failure in the past few days, hence  it will take longer to clear the vehicles thru customs.

Good luck!

Oga Kunle is one of the reliable dealer on Nairaland and wont dull you

Thanks mate.

@OP,

i have to think very hard to come up with a good 2004 car that can land for 1.3m. Except for something like Mazda or Galant, i am not sure. Everything being equal and the car doesn't have any issues. And certainly not high end rides like infiniti. But you are getting a substantial savings and i will grab the 1.3 offer without hesitation if i were you.
Autos / Re: I Need Infinity G35 by KunleA2(m): 12:52am On Mar 03, 2012
Yes the car is manual transmission. You can go with your offer. However, if something else comes up, i will let you know.

Good luck in your search

Autos / Re: Plz Advise 2001 Mazda Mpv Or Sienna 1999 by KunleA2(m): 2:32pm On Mar 02, 2012
Naija is a TOYOTA county. while you will pay more to buy the Sienna, it will also fetch more whenever you decide to re-sell and move up to the next thing.

Parts availability is also very easier for the Toyota as opposed to the Mazda.

Does that mean the MPV is not good? Not at all. But the Sienna wins hands down in comparison.

Good luck out there.

Bros, as I have always pointed out in your posts lately, I have followed your post religiously, since I joined nairaland, your style and sincerity (@ least by the way you lay adverts down yakata!) trips me, thus whenever I see a post from you I always read. perhaps thinking of doing biz with you even if its not to buy a car,  (I could recall some Engine parts u once advertised, same with Honda transmission fluid and many stuff as such)

However, in recent times, your prices seem way off the roof, at least from my perspective,  No doubt, its possible many other dealers could be involved in shady acts,  but u sure would agree not all of them,  I would suggest you stand in here more competitive than ever.

happy sales though!

Thanks for your reply. Ever, since i joined this forum, i have always speak my mind. Even if its unpopular. Cos you never know who is reading.

Back to this post in particular, it costs N300k to clear a R4. At least to clear properly that no custom will bother you.

Add roughly about $1,200 (N192k) to ship you are around N500k.

Remember that you have to truck from whatever location you buy the car to the port. Budget anywhere in the neighborhood of $500 to truck. Of course, depending on the distance. It could be more or it could be less.

And when you clear something like this thru Lagos port, try and reserve about N20k aside just in case. They might steal the power window switch, the control knobs, alloy wheel cover etc. You never know. You cannot deliver missing anything. Trust me i know.

One thing about R4 is that they are very popular and desirable. They tend to go high miles and still retain a good shape. That's where people get "creative". A R4 with 200k miles can be rolled back to under 100k.

Most things that's common is to try and sell a 2002/2003 as a 2004. The fog light on the 2002/2003 is rectangular/squire in shape while the 2004/2005 is round. The rear light on the 2004/2005 is kinda darker that the 2002/2003.

If you don't know all these things, its easy for anyone to pass a 2002 as a 2004.

Another thing, lots of these R4 come from the UK and hence converted. Converted ones are cheaper. If you don't know what to look for, you can fall victim.

And lastly, make sure its truly Lagos cleared. Then you know what i am talking about.

Petrol is getting expensive here in the US and hence contributing to higher prices of these vehicles.

Look around the net and see what you come back with in the price range of these cars.

I appreciate your contribution and honesty. As much as i will like to make a sale, i don't have to make a sale BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY.[/b]

Autos / Re: How To Get A Fairly Used Toyota Camry 2009 Model For Less Than N2.5m In Cotonou by KunleA2(m): 7:23am On Feb 29, 2012
I can ship this Camry for you to Cotonou for N2.2m. You then get any reliable Cotonou agent (plenty here on NL) to help you clear it and send it to your place.

2009 Camry LE. Mileage 71k. Clean CARFAX. I buy and ship for you under your name. The rest is up to you from there.

^^^^ so Automatic transmission would be called how many speed?  grin grin grin

Oga Kunle, you mean this RAV4 is over $14,000 USD?   shocked shocked shocked

hmmmmmmmm

Remember that trucking, shipping and clearing alone will gulp about N600,000. So you do the math. Look around for a 2004 R4 with clean title and report back here with what you find the average prices to be.
