OMEGA JAY: tochiz:@ Tochiz, i hope you can read properly. He wants to know what N1.7 can afford him. Or why is he stating a budget of 1.5 - 1.7? Is that related to Nigerian road? Or may be i am wrong. What does 1.5 - 1.7m has to do with Nigeria road. He is trying to make a choice based on his budget and that is what is being offered. :-\ |
OMEGA JAY:Your budget is slightly inadequate. However, if you will settle for an insurance salvaged 05 Avalon, N2m should land you a good one. 2005 Avalon XL. cannot guarantee leather though. But vehicle will be clean, fully functional and problem free. |
A CAT 215/225 will run you about $20,000 Transport to the port will be about $1,000 Shipping to Nigeria will be between $6,000 - $10,000 (Final measurement at the port will determine) My Service Charge will be $2,000 Clearing in Nigeria will be roughly N500k - N600k (Not very sure) Excavators need to be inspected before purchase. The undercarriage (Chains) and the boom pins will need inspection for looseness. Boom pins is the connector of the arm and the bucket. They can get loose over time. Let me know if you have any other question(s) Regards |
U mean a CAT 215/225? |

YES! Where is the car coming from? If coming from the states, i can help out. Awaye. |
Unfortunately, people like this guy will continue to be in business cos our people sometimes like fairy tales. If someone is advertising a brand new car for N300k, you should know that there is a problem. Even a Keke Marua cost more than that brand New. But sadly some people will fall for it. |

benboa:All these for N1.7m $1 to N166 |
Its still going to be cheaper (most times) and more convenient to have your own car. If you didn't have a car, you won't walk to your destinations. You have to take transport somehow. And the taxi driver will buy the same fuel at the same rate. The saying still goes, "You sell what you buy" Taxi will make money on the fuel he bought. Or may be i missed your point. |
@ poster, i would imagine that any M3 in Nigeria will be specially imported. Its not a car that you just "buy" without determination. Everyone that has it are always determined to get one and they most of the time know what they are after. Its not a car that you just "happen upon". You cannot be shopping for a Camry/Accord and when you get to the car shop decide to "settle" for M3. PEOPLE SAVE UP. CHOOSE A DAY AND LEAVE THEIR HOUSE TO GO AND BUY M3! ![]() What year are you looking for by the way? Good luck out there. Awaye |

And what happens if you don't sell it as quickly as you anticipated?. Every corner in Nigeria (Lagos especially) is filled with car shop / Car for sale. It takes a combination of luck, hardwork and God's blessing to sell car in Nigeria these days. Lots of choices for potential buyers. My contention is that you want to begin with cars most people will not mind/intimidated to come and price. People will price a 2002 Pathfinder more than they would price a 2008 Pilot / Highlander / Armada. Quick turnaround and getting a grasp of the Naija auto market should be your goal at the moment. And once people know that you are under the constraint of time to sell and return. THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!!!! You cannot guarantee that you will sell at the port immediately. My 2 cents. Good luck out there. Awaye |
If that is what you want to do, i will suggest that you start with "everyday small cars" before you move up. Anything in the range of N1 - N2m range for now. You can go for 1996-2003 Infiniti QX4 (Or Pathfinder) 2001-2004 Highlander 2001-2005 RAV4 2002-2006 CRV Going for a N3mill - N5mill car without commitment can be a business "suicide". You don't wanna have your capital tied down too much. You can build your customer base from the "small" start. Even if they want a N10mill car, it wont be a problem. You get a commitment from them and you bring the car. "Low hanging fruit" is where you start. Good luck out there. Awaye. |

surjema:Your budget is unrealistic my friend. Clearing alone for RX300 is N300k. You ship for almost N200k. That does not leave anything else to buy and do other stuff. There is this 2002 RX300 below that is coming up for auction in 2 weeks. it has a minor bumper accident as you can see in the pics. I estimate it to land for N1.4m (clearing inclusive) and you repair the bumper. Mileage is 211,000 miles. But its a 1 owner car before the accident. The Toyota RAV4 is a fine vehicle. its capable of tackling all the hustle and bustle of the Naija road. Very good on petrol. HOWEVER, I WILL BE CAREFUL FROM GETTING A 2001-2003 MODEL COS OF ISSUES WITH THE BRAINBOX FOR THE TRANSMISSION. THEY LOSE THEIR PROGRAMMING EVERY NOW AND THEN. ALL THAT IS NEEDED IS TO "FLASH" OR REPROGRAM. Most Naija mechanics are not capable of that. They will just ask you to get another one. The problem is from the factory. Its a matter of time before the new one go bad too. SOLUTION? Skip the 2001-2003 with automatic Transmission (either a year 2000 or 2004 upwards) Get the manual gear if you have to get the 2001-2001 Get Honda CRV instead. Very close to each other in specs. Good luck out there. Awaye. |
i dont have one but your budget is UNREALISTIC! N600K for a used 2000/2001 Camry? Good luck in your search! |
Abod:i believe all 4 cylinders HL comes with 2 rows of seat. |
pathfinder will be cheapest among them to maintain. Rugged Good luck |
Well its depend on what you are comfortable with. I am about 1.5 hrs from you. You can either share a container (which has some drawbacks) or you can truck your vehicle outside state (Texas or Florida) and ship RORO from there. There is no RORO service from California to Nigeria. You can send from 1997 and newer to Nigeria. if you have any other question(s), my email is: kunleautos[at]yahoo.com Good luck |
2004? Even a very clean 2001 Camry cant go that low if it has no issues. Regards |
i doubt it. unless there is something wrong with the car. it costs 300k to clear this vehicle alone. that remains 600k. The seller have to buy, ship and hopefully make some profit on the vehicle. That leaves a little if any profit at all. And the dollar rate today is around N164 I will suggest you prepare like N1.3m Good luck in your search. |
My brother, i somewhat hang around Felele/challenge/toll gate area. Nothing is typical in ibadan. Your budget won't cut it. Drive from Challenge to Molete and up Oke Ado, there are plenty of "pencil light" camry's out there but your budget will not get you anywhere. Dollar is exchanging for $164 today. after clearing for about N200k. Not much left to buy/ship and make profit. Just my 2 cents. |
Available |
There is no 2005 Model QX4!. It only ends in 2003 Good luck in your search |
Since you are very specific iin what you want, you might consider importing it yourself. it might be hard to get it exactly. unless of course if you are lucky Regards |
