I am travelling to JFK via Qatar airways first week of May on my B1/B2 visa, I am a first time traveller...

Please share with me what kind of questions should I expect from the CBP officers at d POE?, do I need to present any document at d POE? If you have travelled with Quatar airways before please share your experience.

I traveled with Qatar to Washington DC in February and there was no issue at the POE. Prepare to explain why you travel with Qatar and your purpose of traveling, nothing much. Save trip in advance.

Me and my wife didn't book any onward flight to our destination (Tennessee), though, it was asked at the POE by cbp (Washington DC). We traveled by road through mega bus (more or less like greyhound) from Union station Washington to Tennessee.

My POE experience at dulles airport Washington DC Feb. 15th. We entered through Qatar airways for 525k with my wife.

Custom : He started opening the bag one after another and asking questions on the contents.

Me : I told him

Me : We are going to Tennessee and we only had a layover at doha because we came through qartar airways.

I entered US through Washington DC airport yesterday with my wife for the first time I will give detail about the POE later.

All these different info about America these days don tire me honestly. My prayer is to come back and share my experience at the POE.

Pls, is there anyone that have knowledge about the message below? I purchased a promo tickets for me and my wife from Qartar airline to Washington DC towards ending of this month and I got this message from a friend.

A Nigerian arrived at JFK airport with a valid 2 year visa. She was held by US Immigration for over 12 hours and then deported with a 5 year ban. Her crime was that she flew Qatar airline. That was the red flag. The ignorant immigration officials wanted to know why she would fly from Nigeria to Qatar instead of through Europe. They wanted to know her contacts Qatar. She said it was due to cheap ticket price. They searched her phones , looked at all her contacts and even called her job in Nigeria. After all the humiliation they said she had two choices , she could either go back to Nigeria or be put in detention in the US while they continue with extreme vetting. This all happened yesterday in our New United States. Please when traveling check your phones, your messages, your internet. Don't take unknown packages or letters for people and if you can avoid certain airlines please. I am not trying to alarm you JFK is now like a war zone with lawyers and protesters on standby. If you have a green card , you better apply for citizenship as the green card is almost worthless .

You can't go to any passport office in Nigeria now and get it within two weeks unless it's urgent like medical or you follow back door, they will be telling you that they don't have materials and government is planning to increase the price. What a nation!

Hi everyone.. please can someone advice me on this. I applied for US visa last year Nov (my Uncle invited my wife and i). Im self employed and i stated it and gave the name of my business.

Now my Wife and i want to reapply again-' 1, we want to apply as strictly tourist and claim we do not have family over there. We going to get hotel accommodation- can we do this? 2, i quit the business i was doing at the time i applied and i now run another business with different name from that when i applied. -hope they wont question me?

We(my wife and I) were only given one white paper. Can I(alone) pick our passports without her being present? because her work schedule may not allow her go with me. And does she need to fill the 'pick up by proxy' form printed on the back of the paper?

Yes, you can pick for her, just go with the photocopy of her id card. My wife collected mine for me too.

This visa really gave me serious high blood pressure because I don't want rejection and many people were being denied today . Special thanks goes to Seyewest, lady G and others, I learnt a lot. No document was checked.
