Man colludes with friends to fake his own kidnap in order to raise money for the new year celebration in Ekiti.

The police in Ekiti have arrested one man Adelusi Adeweye for colluding with his three friends to stage his own kidnapping.

According to the commands spoke person. Sunday abutu, the suspect were arrested following a complaint by one Mrs Aladejana Aderonke that Adeweye her cousin was kidnapped earlier in the day.


It was gathered that the kidnappers contacted Adeweyes family through this cell phone and demanded the sum of N250,000 as ransom.


The suspect identified as Yusuf Hassan,Yakubu usani, Agboola Damilola, and the fake victim Adelusi Adeweye allegedly confessed to have conspired and faked the kidnapping of Adeweye in order to get some money from the family members for the new year celebration.
