Business › Billionaire Ifeanyi Ubah: How Buhari Can Crash The Dollar/naira Disparity by kurt09(op): 9:29pm On Nov 01, 2016
Businessman and MD of Capital Oil, Ifeanyi Ubah, has offered the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration what he described as the best possible ways to addressing the biting recession, as well as crash the proliferating Dollar/Naira disparity in the foreign exchange market.
Speaking at the World Youth Gathering, Holy Ghost Adoration Ground, Uke in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Ubah lamented that there is nothing wrong with the Nigerian economy, but rather said the country’s major problem is that it has bad economic managers.
Recall that last February, Ubah had vowed on a national television that if consulted by President Buhari, he could use his technical-know-how to stabilize the Naira to an exchange rate of N200=$1.
Then, the Dollar/Naira disparity had skyrocketed that N400 was already exchanging for $1 in the Parallel market.
Insisting he possessed the technical-know-how on how the Dollar/Naira disparity can be crashed, Dr. Ubah pointed that “the only solution to Nigeria’s economic problems is one - addressing the cancer to our Forex which setting up 10 modular refineries can solve that problem. The second cancer that is affecting us is the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).”
The oil magnate stated at the Adoration Ground in Uke, “I said that I am going to bring down the dollars, I sought for consultations because in the past I have done so many things and at the end of the day, people took the glory. This is an issue that is very important to me. Government must understand that Bill Gates, one of the richest men in the World today said, ‘it’s not about academics, it’s about being streetwise.’
“Money-making is an art. There is nobody that can’t make money. It depends on how you design the art of how you want to make money. Now, let me give you an example today and let me also proffer a solution to Nigeria’s economic problems.
“The biggest Forex consumer in Nigeria today, is the Petroleum Product (Downstream), of which I am the leader. Petroleum products take over 75% of the Forex that Nigeria generates. Therefore, if you want to attack the difference between the Naira and the Dollar and of which no expert has been able to find out a solution, what you need to do is to find an alternative that you need to energize in Nigeria, so that the demand for Forex needed for the importation of petroleum products will crash.
“If you do that, you have taken away 75 per cent of that cancer that is taking away our dollars. And how do you do this? There’s what is called top-up refineries. Some top-up refineries can cost us as little as $200million.
“I am the Chief Economist of this country, and I want to bring back the value of Naira; if I want to bring back life to the economy of Nigeria, what I need to do is to take up a bond from our reserve of $2billion. If I am able to take a bond of $2billion from our reserve, which is not money I am spending, but a bond, our money remains. And I can take this $2billion and then share it among 10 companies. And In that 10 companies, I will create Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) of 10 oil marketers to one company.
“If you bring 10 oil marketers to run one company and government funding them for 10 years, it means that all of us will go there and bring the best of us to manage the company.
“Therefore, what we are going to do is create 10 companies along the whole water lines of Nigeria, and in six months time, we can now refine our crude oil here in Nigeria, instead of taking it abroad to refine.
"And by so doing, we don’t need to buy dollars anymore to import petroleum products. It means that we can now be refining our crude oil, using it to produce our own petroleum deeds.
“Petroleum product is one of the biggest factor today in this country. Without fuel, nobody can drive to Uke today. If there are students going on strike, government may show neglect. If doctors go on strike, government may neglect. But once there is a strike over fuel government will always run to see how it will stop the strike.”
He continued, "We must understand that fuel is a critical factor in Nigeria. Because it’s a critical factor in Nigeria today, government is so fragile not to challenge the petroleum industry.
“This is very important and whoever is the Chief Economist of Nigeria must take this as the only solution. There is no other solution.
“This solution is coming today in the Adoration Ground and this is the first time I am saying it. That is the secret I said I need them (government) to consult me. But today, if they can translate it, they will know that Holy Ghost of Adoration Ground has revealed it.”

nickxtra:
My marriage to my wife is facing a serious challenge, after I discovered from my wife's WAEC certificate, that the date of her birth on the result is 6 years more than what she told me and what has been in all her non academic documents, including her C.V. Actually, i have seen all her academic certificates, including her NYSC discharge certificate, but never saw her S.S.C.E and FSLC results that normally bear dates of birth. Each time i ask her for them in order to compile all the credentials for job application purposes, she would tell me that her WAEC, NECO and primary school results are in a box, with her mum in thier home town; that she would ask her mum to bring them. I gnomo her mum lager came with them for her.

Eventually, a serious sure job came for which i would need these credentials to forward to the organization. She gave me the WAEC result with the excuse that age forgot the NECO and FSLC in her current office, which she promised to bring. Lol and behold! What i saw on the WAEC result is a date of birth 6 years higher than what she told me and what is in her C.Vs.

I called her attention and she started giving me excuses that hold no water. She is saying that the same DOB were erroneously registerd for her when, perhaps they were registering her for both WAEC and NECO. That when the results came out and she noticed the errors, she complained and applied to correct same, but since then, the exam authorities have not corrected them. I have not come to terms with the this discovery. I think this may cause us peace, thrust and love in pur marriage.

My brothers and sisters, i think am contemplating of what action to take against her and am contemplating a divorce, but our two children are still very small for this. I want to report this issue to her family and mine. Am gradually withdrawing my trust for her.

I need matured advice and suggestions that will see me through this.
Restore her breast and her hole to its former state, then you can divorce her. Nonsense.

Politics › Re: The Sham Called Elections In Edo State by kurt09(m): 2:10am On Sep 29, 2016
infoblaster:
The long awaited and talked about Edo State Gubernatorial elections is about winding up with vote counting presently on in virtually all the polling units. Remember, the elections was initially scheduled to hold on 10th September. 2016, before it was postponed in very strange circumstances to today.

This election is unique from all previously conducted ones, this is the first time elections will be held in the country when voters would be accredited and allowed to vote simultaneously unlike what obtains in the past. The time spent waiting for proper elections to commence after accreditation had been done has been completely eliminated which itself, is good for time management.

A rather disturbing trend reported from virtually most polling units in the state today is the massive and rampant vote buying in today’s elections. Inducement of voters with money is not alien to our electoral process, but what was observed today, is rather very alarming which shows the desperation these our so-called leaders could go all in the name of winning elections.

Today’s elections would most likely go down in the history of the state as one that attracted the most numbers of voter turnouts. A major factor responsible for this turnout is the inducement of voters which was very rampant across the state with security officers turning a blind eyes to the activities of party agent contractors inducing voters with money.

My anger against the good people of Edo state is that which day would they ever come of age and mature enough to stop selling their birth rights during election days for mere pittance? Similar act happened last year during the general elections where it was reported in some polling units that voters went home richer with between N4, 000 and N7, 000 as proceeds of their vote sales. History is presently repeating itself now with the sham currently going on in this gubernatorial elections.

Edo state is in dire need of basic infrastructural developments such as good roads, schools, health care centers and other basic necessities of life which today is a luxury. How do you think someone that bought his way into power would attend to such needs. This is the time for Edo state to wise up!
Abegi. Whether you collect money or not, who ever that wins will still work and loot. Those that we voted free of charge last year what have we gain from them accept long convoy with tinted glass. Point of correction, its not inducement rather hardship or recession gift. We won't see them again till 2019 election.

Health › Health Benefits Of Guava by kurt09(op): 6:34pm On Sep 02, 2016
Some of the surprising and brilliant health benefits are listed below.
.

Weight loss: Guava is very helpful for those who want to lose weight without compromising their intake of proteins, vitamins and fiber. Guava is very high in rough age and rich in vitamins, proteins and minerals, but it has no cholesterol and a low number of digestible carbohydrates. It is a is very filling snack and satisfies the appetite very easily. Guava, especially raw guava, also has far less sugar as compared to apples, oranges, grapes, and other fruit. Adding a medium-sized guava to your lunch and you will not feel hungry again until the evening. Ironically, it can also help with weight gain in lean, thin people. This is probably due to its wealth of nutrients, which keep the metabolism regulates and helps to promote the proper absorption of nutrients.
.

Diabetes: In a related benefit to blood pressure mentioned above, an intake of guava can also help those patients who suffer from diabetes. The high level of dietary fiber in guava helps to regulate the absorption of sugar by the body, which decreases the chances of major spikes and drops in insulin and glucose in the body. Studies have shown that consuming guava can help prevent the appearance of type-2 diabetes.

Eyesight: Guavas are extremely good sources of vitamin-A, which is well known as a booster for vision health. It can help slow down the appearance of cataracts, macular degeneration, and general health of the eyes. It can not only prevent degradation of eyesight, but even an improvement in eyesight once it has begun to degrade.
.
Cancer Prevention: One of the most celebrated and important benefits of adding guava to your diet is its ability to inhibit the growth and metastasis of cancerous cells. There have been numerous studies done in recent years on guava’s effects primarily on prostate cancer, breast cancer, and oral cancers. Guava leaf oil is extremely successful as an anti-proliferative substance, and has actually been shown to be more effective than some leading modern medicines in reducing cancerous growth. Guavas are also rich in lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that has been shown to be wildly successful in reducing prostate cancer risk. That same antioxidant has also shown to inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells, although further human trials need to be done.
Finally, the naturally high levels of vitamin-C in guavas, which are four times higher than the levels found in oranges (the traditional vitamin-C powerhouse), provides the immune system a huge boost in antioxidants. Antioxidants are the major lines of defense against the proliferation of free radicals in the body, which are one of the main causes of serious conditions like cancer and heartdisease. Therefore, adding guava to your diet has numerous ways in which it helps you stay health and cancer-free.
.

Scurvy: Guava can outdo many other fruits, including orange and other citrus fruits, in terms of its concentrationof vitamin-C. A deficiency of vitamin-C can cause scurvy, and proper intake of vitamin-C is the only known remedy for that dangerous disease. In fact, guavas contain 5X more vitamin-C than oranges, which are often heralded as the absolute best source of that beneficial vitamin.
Diarrhea & dysentery:Guava is very rich in astringents (compounds that make your gums feel tighter and fresher). After you chew guava leaves, eat a raw guava, or use some guava-based toothpaste), your mouth feels healthier, and the astringent qualities also add substance to loose bowels and reduce symptoms of diarrhea. These astringents are alkaline in nature and have disinfectant and anti-bacterial properties, thus helping to cure dysentery by inhibiting microbial growth and removing extra mucus from the intestines. Furthermore, other nutrients in guava such as vitamin-C, Carotenoids and potassium, strengthen and tone the digestive system while simultaneously disinfecting it. Guava is also beneficial in treating gastroenteritisfor the same reasons stated above.
.

Thyroid Health:They are a good source for copper, which is an important part of regulating thyroid metabolism by helping to control hormone production and absorption. The thyroid gland is one of the most important glands in the body for regulating hormones and organ system function, so guava can help balance your health in many ways.
.

Constipation: Guava is one of the richest sources of dietary fiberin terms of fruit. Its seeds, if ingested whole or chewed, serve as excellent laxatives. These two properties of guava help the formation of healthy bowel movements, and aid the body in retaining water and thoroughly cleaning your intestines and excretory system. It is said that constipation alone can lead to 72 different types of ailments, so any help with constipation is beneficial. Your total health is undeniably affected by proper digestion, and more importantly, proper excretion. Frequent consumption of guava can ensure both.
Brain Health:Another of the tremendous positive benefits of guavas is the presence of B3 and B6 vitamins. B3 (also known as niacin) can increase blood flow and stimulates cognitive function. B6 is a great nutrient for brain and nerve function. Therefore, eating guava can help you increase brain function and sharpen you focus.
.

Cough & cold:Juice of raw and immature guavas or a decoction of its leaves is very helpful in relieving coughs and coldsby reducing mucus, disinfecting the respiratory tract, throat and lungs, and inhibiting microbial activity with its astringent properties. Guava has one of the highest quantities of vitamin-C and ironamong fruits, and both are proven to be preventive against colds and viral infections. In some areas of India, roasted ripe guava is used as a remedy against extreme cases of cough, cold, and congestion.Ripeguava should be avoided by people who are suffering from cough and cold, as it can exacerbate the problem, and one should also avoid drinking waterimmedaitely after eating guava as it can lead to a sore throat.
.

Skin care:Guavas can improve the texture of your skin and help you to avoid skin problems more than even the highest ranked beauty creams or skin toner gels. This is chiefly due to the abundance of astringents in the fruit (more astringent is present in immature guavas) and in its leaves. Your skin can benefit from either eating the fruits (this helps tighten your muscles apart from your skin) or by rinsing your skin with a decoction of its immature fruit and leaves. It will tone up and tighten the area of loosened skin where you apply it. In addition to the astringents, guava is very rich in vitamin-A, B, C and potassium which are good antioxidants and detoxifiers, which keep your skin glowing and free from signs of premature aging, wrinkles and other dermal disorders.
.
High blood pressure:Guava helps reduce cholesterol in the blood and prevents it from thickening, thereby maintaining the fluidity of blood and reducing blood pressure. Studies have shown that foodlacking fiber (such as refined flour) add to blood pressure, due to its quick conversion to sugar. Guava, being very rich in fiber and hypoglycemic in nature, helps reduce blood pressure.
Other benefits: There are so many health benefits of guava, it is hard to know where to begin. It is important to know that guava helps control diabetes and protects the prostate. The juice of guava leaves has been known to cure toothaches, swollen gums & oral ulcers, and the juice speeds up the healing process of wounds when applied externally. Finally, it reduces the frequency of convulsions, epilepsy, and bacterial infections.
As with many alternative foods and supplements, there is little risk in eating them in natural form, but you must do your due diligence when taking it in medical forms. Be cautious when adding any new medicinal form of guava into your diet, and it is better to stick to eating guava in its natural form as a raw fruit.
