STOP CRYPTO CURRENCY COMPLETELY FROM THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY. IT'S A MEDIA CURRENCY AND HAS NOTHING TO TRANSACT BUT GOSSIPS. IT IS A SPOILER.
See this one grin many of you think cryptocurrency is something that can be switched off and on. The US have been trying to clamp down on it for years but eventually they caved in and resorted to regulating it. Now they have even approved Bitcoin ETF and people can trade it like stocks.

Anybody who does not like Voice note is a bushman and not used to it therefore cannot like it.
People hate what they don't understand other people always want to have people always do things Thier way when they are various options.Once the necessary information is passed, what's the unnecessary Fuss about the mode of communication the information was given?
Same person complaining that "people always want to have people always do things Thier way" is the one calling me bushman because I don't like voice notes, must I like what you like? Hypocrite. Then he goes forward to say people hate what they don't understand, I can see that voice note is one very complicated software that takes only Einstein-level intelligence to understand how it works, well done Nikola Tesla

What's app voice note is most especially important when you want to be sure of who's on the other side of the phone if you recognise the person's voice in this days when people's phone are usually hacked and they might want to type you to scam you or do an illegal transaction.
Won't it be better if you do voice or video call instead to verify the person? huh

it saves time for u..what about the person using 5mins to listen to VN that he/she can read in 10seconds
This is what many of them don't understand. It's convenient for them because it's faster, meanwhile it's slower for the recipient who will have to listen to the entire length of the voice note, for me it's torture
PhonesRe: Whatsapp Voice Note Is The Best Invention by KushLyon(m): 4:34pm On Apr 25, 2024
*WhatsApp voice note is one of the best

How can it be the best when the Internet and electricity is there grin I personally hate voice note sha, if you want to talk, call me, and if you want to text, do so. I hate it when people mix both. One minute I'm reading their chat and the next thing I see is a 3 minutes voice note, wtf undecided but in the end, everybody should stick to what they prefer
PhonesRe: Voicenote On Whatsapp Is The Worst Invention by KushLyon(m):
The annoying part is that most of us read faster than the average human talking speed, and then someone will now send me a 4 minutes long voice note to be listening to as if I don't have something better to do with my life. It's like WhatsApp noticed this problem and made it possible for people to continue listening to voice notes when they minimize WhatsApp because in the past it wasn't so; once you minimize the app, the voice note stops. It will take me half the time to read a typed message than if you use voice note. Another thing is that I sometimes reply messages from my notifications, especially when I'm playing games or watching a video, then you will now be sending voice note undecided I usually ignore until I'm done with whatever I'm doing
PhonesRe: Voicenote On Whatsapp Is The Worst Invention by KushLyon(m): 7:55am On Apr 25, 2024
Gadafii:
Actually I would rather type that shit out that use voice notes on Whatsapp, however people have preference and adapt to what's convenience to them, How ever I recently came to realize that using voice not to explain or give instruction, direction, etc is more effective than typing it out, it saves time and easier than typing long words.

Despite this, I found my voice very croaked and hoarse, worse than davido sef over voice note, so I barely do voice note

Meanwhile I know people that have become used to voice note, to even reply with "ok I will call you" Dem go use VN, it can be annoying tho
For me I prefer typed instructions than voice. Imagine someone giving me a step by step instruction with voice note and when I forget a particular step, I will now start trying to look for where the person mentioned it in their voice note meanwhile if it's typed, my brain already know where that particular step is because I have seen it before. This is from my own personal experience sha

Has price of goods come down since dollar went from 1900 to 1100?

Since they all claimed to have restocked when dollar was 1900 then make them maintain same price now that dollar is going back like who drink viagra

For some of us earning in dollar since price of niara goods has refused to come down let dollar rise make we gain in dollar
Yes o. As someone who earns in dollars, I'm very happy with this current situation because since price of goods no gree come down, then make naira just go back to its previous position of 1900 or even 2k per dollar. My earnings just reduced since the price dropped from 1900 to 1100, but I'm still buying goods in the market for the same price as when dollar was 1900, this country no go kill me

How did they send binance packing ? The answer will enlighten you how they will send telegram packing from trading naira. People never belived Binance can fold, they keep saying if government ban binance, they will use VPN to access it, all those messages are right here on this Nairaland, is VPN now working for them ?

And I dont know what you mean by Crypto is legal in Canada, what you are being told is you cannot trade Canadian dollars on crypto websites in Canada. The moment you land in Canada, your binance p2p stop working.... and the tax you will pay per withdrawal in UK will definitely discourage you from any arbitrage...

Picture below is what you'll get when you try it in Canada.
FG told Binance to remove Naira from their p2p market, and you think they can do same for telegram that is an open source messaging app with no owner behind it? grin dey play. I have already told you the worst FG can do, which is to ban it. The same thing with WhatsApp, people are also doing p2p trading in various groups over there, what will FG now do? Tell WhatsApp to block those groups? grin una funny for this platform.

Also, p2p doesn't work in Canada because their government are sensible enough to allow its citizens directly withdraw their crypto earnings to their bank account so they can tax it. Meanwhile, your Nigerian government are so stupid that they blocked that feature and that's what gave birth to p2p over here. If I can directly withdraw my crypto earnings to my bank account, why will I be using p2p? As for the UK, you are taxed based on the profit you make which goes from 0% to 45%. This applies to any income you make in the UK, whether it's from crypto or not, so I don't see how that will discourage anybody from trading crypto

You are ignorant if you think a government of a country cannot send telegram and the likes packing if there operations are not wanted. People that were shouting then that if government block binance, they will use VPN, is there VPN now helping them ?

For Your information, all these cryptocurrency of a thing doesn't work in Canada... You will pay heavy taxes in UK if you withdraw from crypto site. US will also jail you and your platform if they catch you manipulating there currency or evading tax...
Please educate me, how will the government send telegram packing? The most they can do is to block access to it like they did with Twitter, but people still accessed it will VPN! And FYI, cryptocurrency is legal in Canada and it's not heavily taxed in the UK, it's still regular tax (income tax and capital gain tax). The Internet is there for you to make research so as not to spew wrong information on a public forum, but you chose to ignore it, thinking you're smart

Thank you for this beautiful comment.

Unless the FG takes these currency speculators & manipulators head on with thunder for fire approach, trust me, these bastards will never stop undermining the Government’s effort to curbing the Naira’s depreciation; and these unscrupulous elements will continue cursing & blaming the Government for their own “Orchestrated Handiwork” because their candidate lost a credible election.

The security agencies should be unleashed to clamp down on all the P2P Platforms, slamming all their operators with severe punishment like Treason and having them sentenced to death by hanging or firing squad.

If any Civil Society Organization (CSO’s) speaks in their defense, revoke their licenses to operate in Nigeria and send them packing like it is done in Russia & China.

I wish I were the President, I swear, the masses would assume that Adolf Hitler reincarnated into Nigeria, because of the so much hell & gore I would unleash on these incorrigible bitter animals.

Tinubu and his economic team must be silly not to know the sources of their woes & coordinated campaign of sabotage.

It is glaring even to a new born baby.

When I saw their people over-inflating the prices of their goods & services, especially their “Accidented & Flooded” Tokunbo cars by almost 300% while blaming it on the Naira-Dollar rates, I just knew they have conspired in their village & WhatsApp meetings to frustrate the present administration and set the whole Country ablaze, just so they can continue celebrating the failure of “Any Government That Comes Into Power” as long as Nigerians refuse to endorse & vote their own agenda-driven candidates.

When Aisha Yesufu (Their Witchcraft First Lady) advised them to keep their Dollars close, you think she doesn’t know what she was saying?

Of course, she must have been privy to their secret plot to sink the Country using the currency speculators playbook.

Like I have always opined, every enemy of Nigeria will lose las las.
Due to the decentralized nature of cryptocurrency, you can never clamp down on all p2p platforms, why? Because some of them are strictly anonymous. P2p platforms exist in Whatsapp and telegram groups, how do you propose the government shutdown those? It's only the likes of Binance and Bybit that this approach will work for but even at that, the owners of some of these p2p platforms are not known

Outright ban on anything like Crypto is the only solution.

There's no real future with it.
It's like building on sand.
You can never truly ban crypto, especially in a country like Nigeria. Ban it today and people can easily assess it with VPN, it's the same thing that happened when Twitter was banned many years ago. Honestly, the government is fighting a losing battle when it comes to cryptocurrency, its decentralized nature makes it almost impossible to regulate, especially for a country like Nigeria

BusinessRe: What Made The Dollar Fall Over Night? by KushLyon(m): 11:21am On Apr 22, 2024
SULBELL:
It very simple sir. Let me explain as a lay man too.
What you did at bolded is called speculations which many other Nigerian are doing
For example assuming you bought $1 @N1600 then, you will be eager to sell it when you see someone who is willing to buy from you @ N1650, thereby you made an abritage gain of N50 on the volume of $ you bought. This looks very easy right, its like free money, and you don not even have to lift a finger, you just need to punch some keys on your phone grin
Just as you are involve are thousand others too involved, thus the value of the Naira depreciates further. Note that this is profitable for you speculating with the Naira, but it is hurting the nation and millions of Nigerians, A clear example is the skyroketting cost of foodstuffs and electronics, which naturally could have only been marginally affected by the removal of subsidy.

On the flip side, the CBN has cracked down on aiders of such speculations, now there is a bit of sanity, and the Naira is gradually and consistently fighting back, Here what happens is they make the black market rate cheaper so those who hoard $ now will have no choice than to dispose it at a loss. Because I can not see aboki who is ready to sell $ for me @ 1,075, and you expect me to come to you and buy for N1650 because you bought yours for N1600 and we are friends shocked

In simple englis, its the survival of the fittest, while speculators are fighting to make gains from the Naira, the regulators too are fighting to strengteen it, so brother, the fear of uncertainty will make many dispose off the $ they keep, this will further bring down the value against the Naira, thus the reason why the Naira is appretiating.

The decision is yours bro, you can sell it off now and count your loss cool
or with for a miracle that it will somehow magically go toward the 2k mark before ending of May as many have speculated grin
But this is similar to what forex traders do, will you call them speculators too?

same shadow that produced effect earlier??

Oloriburuku
He is right sha, the government is chasing shadows and that's because of the nature of cryptocurrency. Initially they were fighting Binance, but now that Binance has been handled they are now fighting other crypto firms. The problem now is that you can never tackle all of these crypto platforms, we don't even know the owners of some of them because they are completely anonymous. They defeat one crypto platform today and the naira start gaining, within a few weeks it starts depreciating again because speculators have moved to another platform and it's only a matter of time before they stabilize and continue doing what they have been doing. Binance p2p fell, and speculators stayed low-key for things to settle down, now they are back at it again using platforms like Bybit and Kucoin, for how long will the government continue doing this fire brigade approach?

1. Find a way to get the number of years from that 700. How do you get that "1 year" from 700 days?

2. When you have figured it out, make sure the result is actually 1 and not something like 1.91 (only the 1 is needed, round it down).

3. Figure out a way to get the total number of days in the year result. If it's 1 year, how many days are in a year? If it's 2 years, how many days are in 2 years? Do the calculation.

4. After you have gotten the result, you now have to calculate the number of days remaining from that initial 700 days. One way to do it is to use the modulus operator (%) but you can also use subtraction.

5. When you have gotten the remaining days, you can now calculate the weeks. Calculating this is similar to how you did it for the year, but remember that there are 7 days in a week.

6. After you have gotten the weeks, follow step 3 but you should now figure out the number of days in that weeks that you calculated (47 weeks). How many days are in 47 weeks? The hint for calculating this is in step 5

7. Calculate the remaining days using a similar method to the one in step 4 but remember that you're not calculating this from the initial 700 but it should be calculated from the remaining days value you got in step 4.

8. The answer you get in step 7 is the number of days (6 days)

As someone else said, first do the math with a pen and paper. If the modulus operator is confusing to use while doing the math, use subtraction. The problem is very easy, just try to solve it on your own rather than looking for a direct answer. I have given you more than enough hints, follow it step by step and understand it. Good luck
