Science/Technology / Re: Google Launches AI Model 'Gemini', Billed To Be Better Than ChatGPT by KushLyon(m): 7:32am On Dec 07, 2023

Bard is more intuitive than chatGPT. Especially for coding.

This is what many people don't know. Chatgpt that isn't up-to-date with modern coding practices and syntax, unless you're using gpt-4 which isn't free
Science/Technology / Re: Google Launches AI Model 'Gemini', Billed To Be Better Than ChatGPT by KushLyon(m): 7:28am On Dec 07, 2023
Well, for coding I think bard is better because I just tried both now and Chatgpt kept giving me old syntax. I even asked it if I can use a new syntax I recently discovered and it said no, but bard gave me the new syntax before I even asked for it and showed me examples on how to use it. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, and one more thing I love about bard is that it gives you references and resources to learn more

Computers / Re: My Experience Buying A Laptop Online by KushLyon(m): 5:42pm On Nov 27, 2023
Hmmm, something is definitely wrong with it. I have a HP probook with 4gb Ram and corei5 3rd generation, it runs windows 10 pro very smoothly and I use it to code, graphics design using photoshop and illustrator and also simple video editing with premier pro. I even use it to play games like call of duty! I'm surprised seeing a 4gb Ram laptop lagging on windows 8, na wa

PS: I have been using it for over a year and it still runs smoothly

Your post comes off as unprofessional! You don't need to keep repeating the same words over and over. I had wanted to bring it to your attention before that guy did, but was too lazy to type. I know others feel the same way too!

If I were you, I would change my methods. If you must post it, then it shouldn't go beyond one paragraph. Just my 2 cent!

My brother you're not alone. I also saw the post where someone adviced him about the way he posts, but instead of taking the advice he kept on replying gibberish just like he is doing now. The guy sounds unintelligent. I always look out for his post and avoid it like a plague or at least read just the headline.

Just 6: Rivers, Imo, Anambra, Delta, Bayelsa and lastly Lagos. I enjoyed Rivers state (Port Harcourt) the most but you see Lagos? I saw shege. I did my IT there last year and the road traffic between Ajah and VI almost reduced my lifespan. Don't even get me started with their quality of water. Some people say mainland is better than island, maybe I will try there next time I happen to be in Lagos

Though I might say the poster u quoted , got it wrong and not to sound harsh or rude, but in your life never ever talk off or write off TECH as a proven way of leaving poverty right now .

Infact I blame all these people who peddle HTML, CSS AND JAVASCRIPT NONSENSE. "PROGRAMMING IS THE LEAST WAY RIGHT NOW OF MAKING IT IN TECH"

The Indians never have this mindset and it's why my colleagues keep bringing in mentees every fucking day ...

Meanwhile we Nigerians are quick to write it off or discourage newbies looking to jump into tech and yes you can get into it as a Get rich Quick scheme ,

Nigerians are the smartest people who would jump into something out of poverty and fuel it with "Poverty-as-a-Passion"

Im only correcting this your mentality incase you have younger ones or kids who might make it in the TECH ECOSYSTEM.

FORGET PROGRAMMING , HTML, JAVASCRIPT, CSS, FRONT END , UI/UX AND ALL THAT NOISE ..

Find me one person who is a CLOUDNATIVE KUBERNETES NEWBIE for the last 4 months and in that category you mentioned , and let's check something .

Truth is we follow the bandwagon , saturate the space and then blame the whole Tech Ecosystem .

If this guy up here follows the advice I placed , in 3 months he isn't only making at least $700 monthly upwards, but also collaborating , contributing and networking with Indians, Americans, and more in the tech space ..

You are talking of Nigerian companies ..go and ask how many real techie you think are applying to Nigerian companies ?

You sound in the past ...

Except for unicorns and cool startups like Flutter, paystack, piggyvest and so on , the best minds here are either working remote or leaving ...

Dey play

I know more than 50 young people who started tech (the right way) in the last 16 months , who are now making at least $1000 - $2,500 currently ....

You can write off the general Web development and programming jargon people throw around , but never ever write off TECH as an Ecosystem and the best way to leave the trenches Legally.

NEVER

NO MAKE ME VEX BEFORE I DROP EVIDENCE HERE

Bro abeg never vex yet, tell me more about this kubernetes, I mean what is the road map to becoming a kubernetes engineer? I'm actually into web development and I started learning html, CSS and JavaScript a while ago but I noticed this field is getting over saturated, every Tom, dick and Harry is now jumping into it and I know I have to start thinking outside the box if I want to make it in this tech industry because right now, web development is getting choked up, even ChatGPT dey spit out codes pass some of the so called web developers

You can try crypto blogging. I am also a student and crypto blogging have been saving me for over 2 years. I bought my current phone and laptop from my earnings, and also a large part of the money I used for my final year project came from here also, not to mention that I also feed myself using this as well. I make around $60 monthly and that's because I'm not putting much effort into it these days because of school stress but ideally, I normally could average $100 monthly. Hive is a typical example of a crypto blogging platform and although it has a steep learning curve, the benefits are worth it in the long run.
