Botragelad: I will be blunt. From what I've seen in Nigeria, and I know a ton of people feel this way, the place is crawling with retar**ds. We're talking millions. I've looked into it, and it's a fact. This isn't a simple fix. The stup**d is baked in deep. It's in the culture, it's in the mindset. Cleaning this up isn't for the faint of heart, it's gonna take some brutal, ruthless decisions to even make a dent. Wella, i observed this today in the market. Most young fellaz smoke weed or take drugs, acting like pyschozzz... Its a big problem. This are the voters.. |

Franking: The military should ordinarily be invisible but they are all over the place bullying people while real criminals use them to bypass security. You are very correct. Just yesteday, i told two guys that our major problems in Nigeria till date are these boys scout generals(military/police) and the very useless people we call politicians or political leaders. We speak our history through the coup plotters all the time, giving them too much relevance. It is high time we stop it. Let us create new ways of thinking away from these men who only bully civilians without guns, lets start talking about men and women whom have contributed to education and innovations, whether home or abroad . If we think deeply we could see a pattern of historic bullying by these boys scouts and now these bandits, militant of the Niger delta and the rest were the outcome as small and light weapons became plentiful in the world and are easily transported with the support of men who have the political and financial connections whom have eitheir suffered in the past from uniform or want power for themselves. Nigerian Politicians deep down hate uniform men but can't say it or get rid of them. And an unproductive supposed general wants to be a politician after retirement. I don't think the west(civilians) with strong Armies barely talk about their army men in their daily lives. Dem no dey talk coup, na history of progress of one particular invention to another. I said if the USA can successfully execute their military campaign without our boys scouts interference and later demilitarized nigeria and its uniform mentality, then we as a people, try to make sure there are reductions in all those big money given to politicians as salaries and allowances(less attractive). Just maybe we would progress and improve the living conditions of our citizens. OUR TWO PROBLEMS. |

SmartPolician: Sanctions will only hurt Nigerian citizens. What Nigeria needs is military intervention against terrorists, their sponsors and apologists. I support the militaty intervention where our military just watch like any other civilian, cos they only think of getting the funds for the campaign of fighting the terror groups but convert it for personal pockets use. They hate to hear that military intervention, always deceiving themselves, thinking they way capable of handling the situation. If the americans could successfully execute these terror groups for us, the nigeria defence budget should be seriously reduced and the money channelled to other intervention programs carefully designed that could improve the standard of living of every age group, employ experts to do that. Not just military funds, the politics should be less attractive, too. Reduce their bogus budgets. You see these two gov bodies, soldiers and politicians, they have destroyed nigeria and still do. America should even demiliterized nigeria after their campaign. |

Those that have never travelled would never understand the thrill, fun and education of embarking on such journeys.
Sadly, Insecurity and Terrorism severely damaged and dampened my love for travelling in this country... Such a shame!!!
I know friends that narrowly escaped death while on such "tourism"... Others were not quite fortunate.
...It's a real shame what the beautiful nation and even continent have become badly reduced to due to Politics of terrorism.
Growing up back then, traveling was a must for anyone serious about understanding and learning... It is a proper form of education.
Shocking to know there are a lot of men and women in Nigeria that have never visited or stayed in more than 2 cities in their country... Smh!
Some of you even brag about being local champions in Lagos, Abuja, Benin, etc... Una no just dey shame. |

Naz34: my brother that is the fact. I bet you if these men are found guilty, they will face the capital punishment, be it execution? And mark my word. Nothing will happen. No right thinking Elite from the north will flinch an eye. Why because. They cant defend such a high treason that can automatically dampen their political career . You are so on point with the bold. Knowing politicians for what they are"greed". They won't allow these stupid fvck coup plotters wannabe in an era like this to use their raggae to spoil their blues. In fact the nigerian military should scrap that archaic coup de'tat thing they teach officers in their courses and replace it with how to eradicate bandit-terrorists and their likes, instead of thinking how to rule people who don't want you. |

OracleJay411: Anyone planning coup in Nigeria is a F00l. There are some countries coup will not stand. Big countries like Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt. The president, no matter how much U dislike him is not unpopular. He is tremendously popular and has huge followership both among the elites and common people. U think U will do a coup and the people will just sit and look like the president doesnt have huge followers? IT WON'T WORK!! There will be serious blood flow in the country and the country will break up, unless that's your main aim as a coupist. COUP IN NIGERIA WILL NOT STAND. When i heard about the rumored coup, the first word that crossed my mind was "fools". Olodo boys scout... They don't know that these are not the times of 60s and 70s. Nigeria may not be favouring many citizens but things and the ways of people' thinking have changed over time. The current nigeria is way too big for few average minded uniform men to collect using force. One small course they'll attend oversea, they'll return to the country and start feeling smart. Even the small sense they have should tell them that, the advance country they go to,to aquire some military knowledge from don't think of coup in this modern age. They are stupidly comparing those ill informed citizens of mali, niger and bukina faso to nigerians. |
