@ tjcrown, don't give up, our miracles are few days away. Hang on bro. coz God is still on the throne. |
neatact:Are you for real? Is that a confirmed info? I'm thinking they'll be taking a significant number of candidates for the SITP this batch. Also, learnt some that did their SRD earlier on in late June and early july performed below expection. Anyhow, it's still in God's hands. |
Guys, whats up? the thread was on the 4th page. Don't give up, we're resuming in edjeba next month by the special grace of God. I sense good news in the next few hours. God never fails. Guys, I need your faith with mine so that I don't get blessed all alone. |
JOHN 3:16 'for God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. What can a man ask for if not an everlasting life which has been freely given by the Almighty God himself. Thank you Almighty God. |
fidelio:Guy, chill. Where in this world did you get your story from? I still believe Shell called extra candidates for SRD coz they needed more people. They are a number of positions to be filled. Remember those on waiting list were supposed to be among those that concluded their SITP this month but for the problems last year. I don't think they'll be re-grading those currently on the waiting list. Also, majority of those that did their SRD very recently will definitely be called except those that they performed very badly. I remembered vividly that the assessors kept hammering that the SRD is not a competition but to meet a minimum standard. Once you meet that standard, then you'll be given a place as soon as one is available. So relax. I also learnt some guys were sent rejection immediately after the SRD (still unconfirmed though). |
49? that means they'll need about 50 of us to complete the 100 in a class and probably put some on waiting list again. Thanks for the info all the same. |
@pepperyboy, Do you have an idea of how many of you are on the waiting list? Someone said on a sister website that the ratio of currently interviewed candidates to required candidates for the SITP is 3:1. All kinds of rumour. I wish someone can confirm this. Anyway, It is only God's report I will believe. No shaking. God has done it for me before, He will do it again and He will continue to do it for me (2 Corinthians 1:10). |
Wow, the SRD was tasking but fun. The case study exercise was really challenging for me. I was answering the questions but not in an organized way. Did any of you 2009 hopefuls experience such during your time? But na God get power o. I WILL MAKE IT IN JESUS NAME. |
debosky:Miraculously bro.It seems few other guys made this stage miraculously as well. Thank God for his faithfulness. |
Rejections? So soon? I have my SRD for next week. |
Hi folks, Someone posted on a sister forum some days ago that all unsuccessful applicants have been contacted. Please can some1 confirm the authenticity of this info? I'm yet to get my IV for SRD,still very much in the wait, hopefully today. |
@teejan, you ain't responding o. Wetin dey happen now? Abi u don resume for Shell? lol Abeg give us info please. Thanks |
@teejan, what's the latest from your source? Can SRD still be next week? |
fine tuning ke? as how? I don't understand english again o.Fine tuning as in doctoring result to favour some people or what? Will appreciate if you can find out what that means exactly. Sorry for asking for too much. God heeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllp. |
Relax teejan, it's only a hearsay. I noticed that the non-ND were very few so you have nothing to worry about. As long as you did well in the test, you definitely be smiling to ejebga. In the meantime, what's your insider saying the delay now? |
@teejan, Any news from your source? As per what the outcome of the test is and how they'll be selected. I heard they'll allow a cut-off of 50% for folks from the Niger Delta and 70% for non-ND. Another source says they'll use a percentile method to select for the next stage. The first here would grossly be unfair. Please teejan, can you confirm from your source what method is being utilized and when we're likely to hear from them? Cheers. |
hi guys, just popped in to front-page this topic. We should all be smiling by next week by the grace of the Almighty God. |
hi guys, good to be back. I'm sure of about 12 or 13 in the numerical, about 70% of the 32 verbal questions I answered but perfectly sure of about 28 out of 30 in the spatial. I pray this puts me thru. They should have finished marking by now.We are waiting. |
@teejan, my guy, na whao, na the whole nigeria dem invite o. Anyway, God dey. When r u writing urs? Mine's 18th by 07:00 at the same venue with yours. |
Wow, Shell test at the Presidential Hotel in PH on 18th May. No shaking, we go ruff am naw. God dey. |
@teekays, my guy, the recruitment process is the same quite alright but men, the standards are not the same here. Even when you get through to the SRD, there's still some forms of that normal r, m believe it or not. They don't interview as if they are sending you to naija. I'm talking from not only my experience but almost the paddies I know over there. If you know any of your guys in the UK or Europe that have interviewed by Shell, try ask them. |
Those that applied thru the UK site will be interviewed for Global position and not Nigeria position although you'll start off in Nigeria. The telephone interview is always very strict because of the International position. Amongst everyone in my class of almost 20 naija guys, only one experienced guy got the job which He even dumped for BG Group. The nigerian position on the other hand requires you to do the selection tests first (except it's been changed) to cut down the number of applicants for the SRD. Every shortlisted candidate will take the test i think. You guys can please confirm that if you don't mind coz even me no want test. |
@pepperyboy, please, can u help us inquire from your SRD coordinator if they're still going to invite candidates for test? This whole thing is getting on my nerves. What is wrong with conducting the whole test at ones? |
or can it be that they're thinking of interviewing some people? that sounds very odd though but nothing is impossible. They should get a centre quick and let's do this thing and move forward. |
@teejan, i think u r right. Please, can you confirm that from your source? Thanks |
Mehn, its a test.Nothing dey happen. God dey for us.It's time to up my game. |
Hi guys, I'm back home to p[ossess my possession. Naija hot o. @teejan, I would greatly prefer an interview rather than an aptitude test but all odds seems to be in the direction of an aptitude test. Any1 sha, God dey for us. We will get there. Please. pepperyboy, let us know when you get info from your source. |
tjcrown:It's a popular nigerian job website. I also noticed Shell is shortlisting more and more candidates which I think could the basis of the rumour. If there's going ot be test, then I think the process could be much more longer than we initialy presumed. I REALLY HOPE NOT. PLEASE, SOMEONE SHOULD CONFIRM IT IN THEIR HR. |
I just read from a similar website that there's going to be an aptitude test. If that's true, Man got to change strategy now man. All these rumours sef. |
@cheksa, Thanks once again for the info. @teejan, teejan:Yes o. |
@cheksa, Thanks for the info. Do you really mean what you just said about the interviews starting next week? I mean, are you 100% positive about the info? |
You guys should help us with this CAPACITY questions of a thing now, so we can have an idea about the kind of topics we are likely to discuss on. |
, but i'm thinking some people might be put on a waiting list again this year, so pls keep ya plans flexible
.
as how? I don't understand english again o.
