Jobs/VacanciesVery Likely Mobil Test Format For Trainee Engineer From A Reliable Source by kvolander(op): 9:58pm On May 03, 2009
Hi Guys, I wrote the Mobil Producing/Esso Exploration and Production aptitude test for Trainee Geoscientists yesterday (Saturday the 2nd of May 2009). Men you just hjave to be very fast when doing the Mobil aptitude test.

We did Verbal reasoning (48 questions in 20 minutes), Numerical Reasoning (36 questions in 20 minutes), Diagrammatic Reasoning (50 questions in 15 minutes)  and then 1 hour was for Core Geoscience skills test (50 questions on Geology and another 50 questions on Geophysics)

Si in future, any Nairaland member that is going to write the Mobil aptitude test should be reAdy for these types of test. You need to be very fast inanswering the questions and also very accurate. Good luck guys.
Although, this is for geoscientist but it's likely to be the same for trainee engineers. Mehn, see what this recession has caused. More questions for less time and the questions may even be harder. God dey sha.

You sure your CV had no GRAMMATICAL ERRORS too?
Negative, the same CV gave me interview positions in the UK when I was there. I was even recently invited for an interview by an oil multi-national in the UK but couldn't attend coz of my visa status.

Hello guys, Please, I have the best of academic qualifications but no job. I finished my undergraduate programme 4 years ago, did my NYSC and proceeded straight abroad for my MSc which I've concluded.I applied for the extension (post study) which is usuually given to every student but was denied. I had to leave the country few days before my visa expired. I came back last year december and SINCE THEN, I'VE NOT EVEN BEEN INVITED FOR ANY APTITUDE TEST TALKLESS OF AN INTERVIEW eventhough I dropped my CV and certificates in very many companies here in Nigeria. I applied for the post study work visa again here in Nigeria but was denied again eventhough all d requirements were intact. Right now, I'm so tired of staying at home because the only thing I do is just study GMAT and go thru my coursenotes to keep my dreams alive in case anything eventually comes up.Although,I get discouraged by the fact that I'm not being productive and sometimes feel 'abandoned' which is what brings about the frustration and somewhat depression, I've even been looking for volunteer work but have found none.AT THIS JUNCTURE, I'LL LIKE TO REQUEST FROM ANY1 WHO KNOWS WHERE I CAN GET ONE. I don't have any Godfather and know any big man but I believe all the companies I sent my CVs and certificates to would have seen them but are not calling.

This isn't important for me though but it might interest some of you that the girl I met while I was studying has left me for another working class guy. But I thanked God I've gotten over her eventhough she still calls once in a blue moon.

For those who care about what I studied, I have BEng in chemical(2:1) and MSc in petroleum.

Your candid advice will be greatly appreciated and your help for assistance too.

Thanks all.

@pc guru
thanx a lot man.u just said my heart.any girl that wants to leave me cos of a ready made man i wont stop her.i will be only challenged to step up my game thats all.ve got sis and i know how much i longed for them to be hooked by a guy thats ok.
if later on she wanna comeback afta ve got the cash and the guy she left me for messed her up,she is in for it cos am goin to mess her up more.but if the babe tries to grow with me and manage what i ve now,when the money rolls in she will surely enjoy it with me great deal.simple
Brilliant point,

But there's no point taking her back to sleep with her.Besides,she could be carrying diseases.

I'm in the process of being dumped for a ready-made guy who even told her he's not ready for marriage.No wahala,I wish her the best.

y me:
chai,i go dey pray for you o. But sincerely speaking you might be right or wrong on the charming aspect but one thing i know for sure is that it is risky for a girl to get too close to a guy whom she fancy alot. I think there is something you lack that your girl finds attracted to in the guy. you shld try n figure out what you lack in yourself and get back to us. good luck.
This is exactly what i'm currently passing thru now with the girl i'm supposed to be going out with.She doesnt seem attracted to me physically anymore becoz of some guy she met at one of the weddings she attended in january.I've begged her in all the ways i can but the whole thing still looks bleak for me.
The problem now is dat i want to leave her but i'm finding it difficult becaoz i put in everything into the relationship, but i know i'll soon break out.

@poster
I'LL ADVISE YOU TO CHECK VERY WELL IF THIS YOUR GIRL LOVES YOU, IF NOT, TAKE OFF NOW OTHERWISE YOU'LL ENTER INTO MY SHOE.
CareerBeng(chemical), Internship In Shell, & Msc (petroleum) Abroad, Still Jobless: by kvolander(op): 7:15pm On Mar 08, 2009
Hello guys,

Please, I need your advice.
I possess the following qualifications (bachelors-chemical, Masters-Petroleum abroad and 6months internship with shell.It's almost 7 months now after my graduation but with no job.I've sent my CV to many oil companies in lagos and some in PH but I'm yet to get any response, not even an aptitude test. i'v even sent twice to some of the oil companies.Although, i dropped most of them with the security as u can't be allowed inside.

The non-oil companies are even worse because they give me outright rejection perhaps because of my background.

IS IT THAT THE CERTIFICATES (EVEN FOREIGN) ARE NOT IMPORTANT AGAIN OR WHAT.

What do u guys think could be happening?

What other advice can you guys give to me.

Your sincere advice will be greatly appreciated.
