Kyaggy: Thank you so much Glitteringstar, very detailed explanation. Thank you. Good day house, Please I need advice and help now, I finally got my cousin who banks with GTB to help me pay online which she did, sent screenshots which I mailed to British Council. But BC didn't reply me after 48hrs and I resent the proof of payment to them again with explanation that I have payed and still waiting for their confirmation, immediately I sent this second mail, I got an automated mail saying " they are attending to too many people, I should not send another mail that they will attend to all." Just midnight I got a mail from them saying the exam I booked has been cancelled because I didn't pay. I'm confused and angry now. Have tried to call their customer service line since they ain't replying mails but it's not connecting from where I am. And the person that paid on my behalf is a banker who can not leave her bank to another bank during weekdays, please what do I do? I just tired of this whole thing. |

eyoiba: I used UBA too. The BC stated on their website that online payment should not be used. What I did was to purchase Bank Draft of 68k at UBA then used courier to send it to BC from my base. Get someone in Lagos that can purchase the Bank draft early tomorrow from any UBA branch and the person will take it personally to BC tomorrow. You should be fine. Thanks a lot. |

GlitteringStar: Hello Kyaggy,
1. I don't think you can make the transfer from UBA as the instruction says either FIRST BANK , GTBANK OR ZENITH BANK.
2. To formulate the account number, you have to follow the instruction that British Council stated. i.e the number you get is dependent on the location you choose, the month you want to write your exams and the last two digits of your international passport.
3. For the bank transfer, it is better to make the payment using your name because you might need to send your evidence of payment to British Council. (I paid using GTBank internet banking and had to send my evidence of payment to British Council). On the other hand, you can send someone that you trust to raise a bank draft in favour of British Council. You will send the cash to the person and also give your details to the person . The person will take it to any nearest British Council office.
Best regards. Thank you so much Glitteringstar, very detailed explanation. Thank you. |

Canadianfly: Please read and understand it carefully. You are muddling it up. This is your first IELTS testing oh
If you are paying FROM Zenith, GTB and First Bank, do bank transfer TO Standard Chartered Bank to the account name, British Council, then your own 99---- number as account number, with your reference number. Since you have UBA, the answer is NO. You can't do bank transfer. It has to be cash deposit. Ok now I understand, it's actually my 4th time...yes you read right 4th. None taken in Nigeria hence the confusion on the mode of payment. Thanks for explaining. |

balogunsam: Hi Kyaggy, its been a while but i can give a rough idea. First is to visit the British council website to register where you will be given FULL instructions to make the payment. If you run internet banking, you can do the entire thing even while abroad. Upon successful registration you will receive instructions on a very long document.
Good thing is i saved mine as PDF then so i just cropped out the payment part so you can get an idea and to help others. I Cheers! Thanks boss. I have actually done the online registration. My challenge is that, I bank with UBA. The question is... 1. Can I do an online transfer from UBA to the British Council account or, does it have to be either or First, GTB and Zenith? 2. What's that stuff with reference number? Is it same reference number for all abi do I get another reference number? 3. Should I send someone to any of those banks or can I just look for someone that banks with the any of the mentioned banks? Shukran |

bigfido: For the dude that passed the ielts that is complaining bitterly, please be thankful to God.
I have written ielts 7 times. My journey started since 2015. My Wes has been ready since then, but because of age and ielts, I have been falling short. I wrote ielts and got moderate score. I didn't know what was required then, since then, it has been a battle for me. My last 3 scores were 8,7.5,7,6... 7.5,7.5,7.5,7... 7.5,8,7,7..after the 6th one in June, I swore I was done with this dream. I had sunk so much money into this. I have gone to dubai to write celpip, went to dubai again for new brunswick info session, spent money 2ice on SINP and all to no avail. I was frustrated and devastated. July, I told my spouse to let me try ielts one more time. Even thou she didn't want to see me hurt again, she let me have my way. As for her she was done. She wanted the dream closed and buried. I don't blame her. So I paid and decided to change venue, this time I went to Ibadan, meaning I was spending more again. Then something changed. I prayed a lot about it. For catholics amongst us, please pray the prayers for exams to St Joseph of Cupertino. I went into the hall, did my best and left. I couldn't even beat my chest about my performance. I have been humbled by Ielts. But I kept on praying. I am not going to fail the 7th time. In between that time, a stranger in Lere2017 on this platform came into my life. She needed something from me. I actually wasn't in the mood to talk to her (reply her pm) but I did. We got talking and I told her my story. She was touched and she also truly prayed for me seriously. She will send me messages almost everyday telling me how much I was in her prayers and letting me know all is well. Yesterday midnight was the most awkward time of my life.. From 12 am till 7 am this morning, I was refreshing ielts website to check my result. The fear and panic was too intense. When I didn't see anything, I decided to go to their office to pick up my result.. That drive was filled with swallowing stone like saliva. On the bridge, I decided to refresh it again.. My result was there. My soul left my body and my eyes became blurry. I didn't know what I was reading but I knew I was reading.. L-9, R-8,S-8,W-7
I felt water swell up in my eyes. I understood what it is to look for something within your grasp and yet not have it. I am still basking in this euphoria so I can't real explain my ordeals. So please if you have it on a platter of gold, don't come here to rub it in on people that are going through a lot of even have a slice of what you have. For me the journey starts soon. I now have 450 points. I pray we all get to the promise land. Thank you @lere2017 I appreciate you. That's the beauty of this thread. Goodluck to everyone. I apologise for the long post and misspellings Thanks for sharing sir, this is exactly what we needed to read. Will show it to my husband because it bears a ray of hope. Hopefully soon, just very soon I will share our story. Thank you again. |

Wura27: Thanks to all you lovely people for the congratulatory messages, I know we will all testify soonest whether it's awaiting IELTS, awaiting AOR or PPR.
To all those worried about their submitted application or anything, don't worry and just leave all to God. I thought my application was messy and I scaled through with no ADR, nothing!
1. A bulk of my money entered my account after I got my ITA but I did not do gift deed or write any letter explaining the source of funds (timeline btw my ITA and AOR was about 3 weeks) 2. I only put the first page of each of my 6 month statement leaving all other pages behind (I did not quickly realize I could reduce it) 3. I did not write any LOE, did not attach any additional document or justify anything at all 4. My name is sometimes scattered. Like I'm known by d 2nd name in my passport so some of my documents only had my 2nd name and surname without the first name on my passport (I was advised to get an affidavit justifying this but I never did) 5. Although I had a valid US visa as at the time I applied, I was rejected about 7 years ago and I forgot to state it in my application. 6. I was in UK on vacation when I did and got my UK PC, I was later told that I should have done it after leaving the country and to urgently raise CSE which I never did 7. Plenty other things I thought were issues but can't state all now.
This is for those that have submitted and are worried about one thing or the other.
If you haven't submitted, PLEASE DON'T BE LIKE ME! I don't know why I was so stubborn, it wud save you a whole lot of worry knowing your application is detailed when it's in progress!
In my excitement I forgot to write my timeline.
Type of Applicant: Single Applicant ITA: May 4 AOR: May 26 Medicals passed: July 1 IP1: July 1 NA2: July 5 IP2: August 2 PPR: August 5
Congrats to all my PPRpeople, passport stamped peeps and a big future congrats to all my peeps waiting to testify- WE SHALL ALL TESTIFY! Wow! What a jagajaga application... Grace got your back jor. Congrats!! |

esosa4real: For Nigerian PCC, I got it while I was in vacation, But after submitting, I realised that some Indians have been refused for this. Though yet to see any Nigerian refused for this cause, some did same and had no issues.
However, to be on a safe side, when I returned to Saudi, I requested for another one and uploaded to CIC via cse and email. I just contacted the same police man, I didn't tell him I was outside the country so he wouldn't bill me, I had the forms, I thumb printed them myself and scanned to him. He printed, did the PCC and scanned everything to me which I uploaded.
I didn't take to Nigerian embassy here though it's advised. This is because I know it's not really compulsory. But if you wanna attest with them, then it should be sent by courier to you from Nigeria and not scanned so it stays original.
For Saudi PCC, you need a PCC request letter from Canadian embassy in Riyadh. Simply email them and say you will pick up letter at their gate. They will reply and tell you when to visit the embassy at gate.
So you travel to riyadh to get this PCC request letter from the embassy gate and go to MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to attest it. Opposite MOFA building, there is a place to pay for it before going into MOFA itself.
After attestation, you take this letter to the CIA police headquarters in Batik and do ur PCC. It's free. After 2 - 4days you pick it up.
It's in Arabic, so you translate it at a certified translators office.
That's all!!
It looks like a longthing.......but with PPR in demand, all things are possible
quote author=esosa4real post=58600523]
Where exactly are you? Like which country in the middl e east. Whatttttttt?? Serious long thing OOO. We are in the North and to think of this traveling to Riyadh is really disturbing, but we don't have another option shaa. Thanks a bunch for this detailed explanation. Grateful! |

mukhtar4u: Okay, I am guessing you are currently outside Nigeria.
How did mine.... The finger print form was sent to me through a friend and I did the finger printing by myself, then scanned it very clearly back to him after which he took it to alagbon inclusive of my passport copy and photograph to collect the PCC.
He sent the hardcopy to me and I took it to Nigeria embassy where I am for further authentication.
I can get the number of the police officer for you but you will definitely need to send a friend there to collect the PCC for you.
Note that according to IRCC, you have to collect Nigeria's PCC at a time you are not in Nigeria if you are currently living outside Nigeria, so going home to collect it may not be a good option. Thanks a lot, please send me the contact of the police officer, will need it. Will look for a friend to send. Thanks |
