I have nailed 2 dishes at almost similar angle but am getting different channels with my srt4930, one Dish has tracked Amos5 @17e with over 80 channels and more of them being scramble but Aljazeera, setanta africa,ait sport etc all being able to give me free time with signal very stable during the night, I believe the have some advert saying (Daar.sat) any guarantee that these channels will continue to be free untill soccer time?. Another Dish confuses me a lot, it caught 203+ channels many scrambled only France24,1'KZN services and Bay services are showing and hit 90% of signal quality, may I kno which satellite is this? It have only 1KZN and Bay tv services which the other Dish pointing @amos5 17E has, the rest of the channels are different,,,which satellite is this Many HD channels many start with Canal+ etc

Bay tv,kzn and the ait package are on amos 17'e and the other french channels are on w16 at 16'e of which u can get all these chanels on one dish.

But why am I finding it difficult to hit green on that irib freq with a motorised 1.6m dish in Abj. Ngr. I've got more than 17 channels on arabsat @ 20'e, no irib yet. What am I not doing right?

odilibe: you mean the ka band frequency on 7east, they are on europe beam, check again,I did a check last week, flysat or tracksat won't give you the exact coverage at the moment and you need ka band lnb for this cheers !

Instead of asking dish size day in day out, go to www.satstar.net scroll to beamfinder &fill in all what is required there and run the beamfinder. Everything u want from dish size, recievable sats, beams covering your area , azimuth 'll be displayed etc

i'll track it today on arabsat 5c @20'e which is receivable down here in Limpopo.

All with the OTA problem lets try this, disable the default tp to user. Change sat n tp and lock all the channels using the ota tp, it might work on ur rx, then switch to these channels using the ota tp and then go back to see if the default tp is restored, if not u are good to go.

its possible, i downloaded srt 69xii s/w 117p ,unzip it, load to memory card & then to reciever thru usb port after being hit by the OTA update.
