Three Missiles were fired in Jos yesterday, one was at an Islamic school full with students and two near an office of the Special Task Force (STF), bring tensions in the city that has been overwhelmed by persistent violence.

A 10 year old boy was killed in the first attack that targeted the Islamic School in Bukuru area of Jos at 10.30am, while two more people were found dead in the neighborhood soon after.

In the attack on the School, eyewitnesses said three anonymous persons came to the area and fired a grenade from a red Golf car as students of the Islamic school were writing exams.

The grenade which missed the school then hit a nearby home, killing a boy named Rufai Umar.

Authorities speedily blocked the school and told the students home.

Mr Bala Baba Mohammed, Secretary of the elders committee in Bukuru, told newsmen that two other person, by name Yusuf and Waje, were found dead in the area few minutes later.

“One (had) bullet wounds and the other was hacked by a sharp object,” he said.

“The victim of the rocket launch on the 10 year old Rufai Umar, his brain is wide open and all over the place. The situation is pathetic.

Assassins showers bullet on two in Yenagoa

Two men have been shot dead by assassin on Monday in Azikoro community of Yenagoa, as gunmen flushed bullets on the car they where in.Eye witness said that the assassins, who where driving a car behind the victims’ car, unexpectedly overtook the victims and shot them.

The assassins where not pleased with what they did the came back 20 minutes later to shower more bullets on the victims to make sure they all died , said the eyewitness.

Fewer than 95 persons died in a petrol tanker fire accident in River state. In the hospital, over 100 persons are lying in a critical conditions.

A scene filled with dead bodies and burnt vegetation surrounded by smoldering cars, was full of crowd of sympathizer watching helplessly; some holding their hands in their heads and others simply standing by, crying over the disaster that has fallen upon Okogbe, a village in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The incident took place at 6:30 am, beside Oando filling station at Okogbe, between Ahoada and Mbiama on the East-West Road, which is to be made double lane by the Federal Government. A terrible traffic seized the road yesterday.

A tanker with registration number: Delta: XA 340 TDU, laden with petrol, crashed with three other vehicles: a Toyota Corolla saloon car, with registration number: Lagos: RQ 218 AAA; a Toyota Hiace Hummer bus (XZ613AGL) and a Mazda bus. Also burnt were 34 motorcycles.

The NSCDC official said many of the victims were being treated locally, adding that some of the bodies had been identified and removed by relatives.

A senior official of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), who remained anonymous, said the fire was caused by one of the victims, who called others to come and scoop fuel. Many victims were still in the bush, he said.

Governor Rotimi Amaechi , who was shocked and cancelled all his engagements in Abuja and rushed to the scene,.

There was insufficient bed at the Ahoada General Hospital, Ahoada in Ahoada East Local Government Area, where most of the badly burnt victims were rushed to. Some of them where laid on bare floor. Many were moved to hospitals in Port Harcourt, the state capital

Nigeria government has gone against the redistribution of the NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) members from the state reportedly having high rate of terror attack.

Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir, Minister of Youth Development, said that positing supersedes an earlier dispensation granted to the affected corps members by the Director-General of the NYSC, Brig.-General Nnamdi Okore-Affia.

In his remark, said this at a news conference in Abuja on Tuesday. Abdulkadir insisted that corps members would be posted to Borno, Yobe and other troubled states.

The Director general, in a statement on July 5 directed corps members posted to Yobe to proceed to Nasarawa State, while those scheduled to have their orientation in Borno were directed to Benue State.

Security discover ‘BABY PRODUCING FACTORY’ in Rivers State

Rivers State Police command of Nigeria have brought to custody a syndicate that is specialized in selling new babies.

Rivers State police public relations officer, Mr Ben Ugwuegbulam, confirmed this to newsmen saying “We arrested a husband and his wife involved in the illicit trade”.

He said the two specialised in kidnapping girls and preparing them to get pregnant, while they would hide the pregnant girls in their custody until they delivered.

Ugwuegbulam said the suspects confessed that as soon as the girls deliver, they would sell the babies. He said: “Rivers State Police Command had arrested one Chigozie John and his wife, Akwarama and rescued three pregnant women held as captives in the suspects place somewhere in Akpajo.

“On interrogation, the husband and wife confessed to the offence of trafficking in new babies and further admitted that the three pregnant women found in their house were procured to deliver babies that would be sold as soon as they were delivered of their babies.”

He added that investigation was on to uncover more details of the operation of the suspects t while the arrested men and women where to been arraged to be taken to court for prosecution.

A week ago, Nollywood famous actor, Jim Iyke broke the news that the N15 million cases filed against him has been thrown out of court for lack of evidence.

And a day after, the plaintiff, Hajia Habiba Abubakar fired back that the case was not thrown out of court due to lack of evidence, rather, she withdrew it after the actor apologized to her, and signed an agreement to pay the money in installments until the full amount is realized. However, an online media claimed that Abubakar also made available documents backing her claims.

Speaking from far Brazil where he is currently attending the Rio +20 gathering, Jim Iyke said “It was God’s intervention. I’m sure even she doesn’t know how it ended like this.”

Just as it has been a normal duty for most governors in nigeria, two months after a London High Court jailed Mr. James Ibori, former Governor of Delta State, 13 years for fraud and money laundering, another thieving former Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, who was jailed two years by a Nigerian high court for fraud in 2007, is to surrender $401,931 and his Maryland, US home worth $600,000 to the United States Government.

The US Department of Justice yesterday executed a penalty order on $401,931 in a Massachusetts brokerage fund traced to Alamieyeseigha.

In a report published by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), the penalty was the first victory for the US Justice Department initiative dedicated to seeking out assets in the U.S. linked to high-level foreign corruption.

Prosecutors filed court papers in April 2011 targeting a $600,000 Maryland home and a Massachusetts brokerage account belonging to Alamieyeseigha.

“At a point, there was a hot argument between the duo, which made the pastor to raise his voice as he was offering a deliverance prayer for Tunde, the mad man. The hot prayer lasted for over 15 minutes before another strange drama began,” Semiu told the News men.

Speaking further, another witness, an okada rider, said at a point, the mad man removed the pastor’s hand from his head, adding that “suddenly, a strange spirit got hold of the pastor and he began to remove his cloth. He was naked and laid flat on the ground, speaking a strange language, with foam oozing out of his mouth.”

25-year old woman, Eni Ubi, is now in court following an accusation that she poured hot water mixed with pepper on the face of another 25-year old woman, Adiah Okoi, while they fought over who had the right to marry a man recognized as Eteng Livinus.
She was Unable to meet up with the bail stipulation given by Magistrate O. A. Komolafe of the Abule-Egba Magistrate’s Court, she has now been sent to prison while her victim has been admitted at the Orile-Agege General Hospital in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
