Sorry to say, but the truth is often bitter...
Ogun State ought to be far better than it is, considering its immense wealth and the presence of numerous companies and industries in the state. A lot of people that can't find spaces in Lagos settle for it. In terms of development, Unfortunately, the reality tells a different story. It remains deeply underdeveloped, burdened by consistently ineffective governance. The road infrastructure is among the worst in the country-arguably the worst.
Were it not for its proximity to Lagos State and Ibadan, Ogun would likely be in an even more dire state- possibly worse than Kogi, Niger, Benue etc. |

galantjoe: I no blame her.
I want everyone to know that hospitals don't usually have anti snake venom. However local herbalists do have most effective snake anti venom
This information is for the loving to take note where such emergency arise, ask locals for direction As you open mouth waaa to type this, if they asked you to give directions to the closest herbalist you know in your area, can you answer? |
Health › Re: The Cobra That Killed Singer, Ifunanya Nwangene (Video) by LabStores: 11:39pm On Feb 01 |
galantjoe: That is why local herbalist treat snake, dog and other venomous bites very well. She must have relied on conventional medicine to treat the snake bite. But hospitals don't have anti venom,
When a dog bite my daughter I took her to health centre they directed us to a local herbalist who treated her.
She relied on oyibo medicine forgetting her root,
May her soul rest in peace When a snake bites you, you have very limited time to take actions before it becomes fatal. In some cases, as little as 30 minutes. You can read clearly that they said she took herself to two different hospitals. Where else do you expect her to go in a city like that? She should start looking for a babalawo? It's not about her relying on anything or making a choice. You people should be sensitive with what you type... |
Health › Re: FMC Abuja Reacts To Death Of Ifunanya Nwangene by LabStores: 11:30pm On Feb 01 |
Dogalmighty17: Providing CPR on a snake bite victim? This only further pushes the venom deeper into the body. The first question any competent medical professional will ask is, what kind of snake bit her? This will quickly narrow down and pinpoint the most effective anti-venom for that particular kind of snake.
The shameful disgrace of Nigeria is that the whole federal capital territory doesn't have a centre equipped with anti-venom that any hospital across Abuja can call and have it available in minutes.
Abuja is expanding. It is inevitable that this expansion will reach areas that certain wildlife have long regarded as home. These displaced animals, snakes inclusive, start entering residential areas. The case of the Airforce personnel who got bitten by a snake that crawled through her soak-away into her toilet, is fresh in memory. Her house was built in a freshly claimed area.
Yet just a 45 minute drive from Abuja, along the Abuja-Keffi expressway, is a snake farm owned by a retired Chief of Army staff. The most evil CAS this country has ever had. Snake venom is steadily harvested from that farm and shipped abroad. Most of those retired chiefs are hardened criminals. They have stolen unimaginable huge amount of public funds... They are the ones causing many of the problems we have in this country today... |

PGD is not a program taken by hnd graduates alone. Some schools won't admit you to take some masters courses if you don't have or do PGD first. E.g, A basic and medical degree holder that wants to do master program in engineering courses...
Most Universities won't admit HND graduates directly, unless they have PGD... How can they move ahead? |
Culture › Re: Does Juju Really Exist? (picx) by LabStores: 8:10pm On Feb 01 |
Namaster: Nigerians are HILARIOUS.
They will give all the RATIONAL reasons something happened and then jump to an IRRATIONAL conclusion.
Take this situation for example:
1. Wife had a HORRIBLE husband: His wife's business began to BOOM and he began to feel jealous.
Probably started doing things to make her life DIFFICULT. Wife will go to work and get STRESSED and come back home to meet a CANTANKEROUS and JEALOUS husband.
She leaves home with NEGATIVE energy and comes back to meet MORE NEGATIVITY.
That sort of environment will DESTROY a mind and leave nothing to handle business.
Which brings me to the second point:
2. Wife started screwing up at work:
Either by screwing up their orders or by transferring the husband's NEGATIVE energy to the customers like an additional EMOTIONAL expenses.
Customers will RUN.
3. Wife has NO business sense:
People UNDERESTIMATE the place of luck in business.
Some people will get LUCKY and hit it big with absolutely ZERO sense.
They are like the First Participants in a PONZI SCHEME. Or a lottery winner.
They get LUCKY. Then they get SCARED. Because they know they would NOT be able to replicate their success.
That's probably part of the reasons a SUCCESSFUL wife will refuse to give her husband money and still stay with him. She did NOT trust herself to make more.
MOST women who make more money than their husband and refuse to give him will LEAVE him pronto. IF they believed they could sustain that lifestyle without him.
Another thing that points to a LACK of business sense on the wife's part is the fact that even her own friends COULD NOT find her shop.
That just means she chose the WRONG location. She BUNGLED one of the 4Ps of Marketing—PLACE.
There is NO reason she won't fail.
The man's acting like CURSING his wife ALTERED the Laws of Geography.
MADNESS!
Finally if juju was a real thing, there would be NO such thing as Black-Americans. Rather, we'd have White-Nigerians, White-Ghanian, White-Senegalese, etc.
They'd come to colonise and enslave and they'd NEVER leave.
And that's if they could find Africa in the first place.
Imagine what an Army of Native Doctors could do if just ONE Baba living beside a Petrol Station can CHANGE Geography.
You countered Everything you were saying, when used the term NEGATIVE ENERGY... |
Health › Re: Abuja Singer, Ifunanya Nwangene Dies From Snakebite by LabStores: 8:04pm On Feb 01 |
HenryWilliams: Cases of snake bites are uncommon and infrequent in Nigeria making it impractical and costly for Hospitals to stock antivenom. Secondly antivenom differ from snake to snake. There's no one size fits all. Some snakes venom react within minutes and the victims die almost as fast, while some can take a whole hour to do its job. Basically if you're bitten by a venomous snake in Nigeria, you stand a better chance using native remedies. Going to a Nigerian hospital for snakebites is the surest way to die cos they'll waste your time, take your money and refer you to GH where you'll perish for lack of antivenom. Most of you say things you don't know According to WHO, Nigeria sees at least 50 snake bites EVERY DAY. is that uncommon or infrequent? |
Health › Re: Abuja Singer, Ifunanya Nwangene Dies From Snakebite by LabStores: 7:32pm On Feb 01 |
ogaemma: She tried for herself. She died because she was in Nigeria. She ran to 2 different hospitals, and there was no anti venom. The same thing that made Oliver De Coque to die in the Federal medical center Abuja. There was no oxygen in a federal medical center. When we say Nigeria is a useless country, people will say we are demarketing Nigeria. May Nigeria happen to them someday.
Rest in Peace 🕯️ These incidents alone is supposed to make some criminals go to jail. Every years, millions and billions of naira is allocated to many government hospitals. When people still go to those hospitals, they can only offer little or no service. Most of them don't even have functional ambulances. Most CMDs are hardened criminals worse than Many top politicians. They just steal and embezzle funds. |
