Because the justice system in Nigeria is flawed. You could be innocent and spend your life in prison. In a system where everything is flawed, both the innocent and guilty runs. Because trying to prove your innocence could take years and the years won't be spent in your parlor.

If men die during sex it's quite understandable especially older men. But a woman dying during sex is too strange. The man may be innocent because he had no reason for killing her.
