Based on my experience, toyota corolla car parts are not cheaper, however, they're readily available in the market.

My Toyota Corolla 2009 (American model) shaft was replaced because of the knock/bang sound I hear when I push the gear lever from Park to reverse. The change caused gear oil leakage for some days. Prior to and while these were going on, the gear had not been engaging to 4 and 5. After the mechanic did and serviced the valve body, the car began to rev (without a change in speed) only when I accelerate and the speedometer pointer is about to leave 40. Mechanic serviced the valve body severally (changed some solenoids), even used another car valve body but it didn't solve the revving issue ( it selected gears up to 5 on its own, however, still revvs at that point, when I accelerate myself).

We scanned the car again and it produced these codes: P2414, P0710, P2757 (P2757 code has been showing for some time though) and P2716. Eventually, the oil got burnt, 4 gear specialists we contacted said the fibre got burnt and need to be replaced. Gear Box was brought down for service, fibres and drum changed and fixed but the car still Revs at that point when I accelerate. I made sure I bought the original Toyota WS he used.

The gear specialist now suggests we replace the valve body that my gear box is very neat and can't be the cause of the problem. I'm exhausted. i had from the first day told the mechanic/gear specialist that I don't want trial work.

In summary, the issues the car has are the revving without a change in speed when I accelerate and the bang/knock sound I get when I push the gear lever from Park to reverse only.

Valve body bought was fixed on Sunday and the revving stopped. However, the ride is not smooth. The car makes a knock sound when it's selecting gear. The gear specialist said I should drive the car for days that it would get smooth on its own.

I don't know how long I have to drive the car for the gear selection to get smooth, but if it doesn't after a week, I will have the gear box changed. I can't manage the car for a long time because I do interstate travel some days.

How much can I get a replacement gear with guarantee ?

4 persons have checked and confirmed that the Engine seats are in tact. They all said shaft is the cause and that the shaft I bought has been worked on.

The fact is that you contacted a road side agent and not a professional. The job of the agent is to show you available properties for sale or lease and you are expected to conduct due diligence on any property you wish to lease or buy before making any payment. At this stage, it becomes the job of your lawyer to do so and advise you. This is why smart persons prefer to get their lawyer involved ab initio.

By this, the lawyer "may" engage an agent to suggest properties available for lease or sale and conduct due diligence to ascertain the best property to settle for. The essence of this is to ensure that the property is unencumbered.

In strict sense, the road side agent is not bound to refund you the money you paid him except for professional agents who you may have executed a written agreement with.

I suggest you let go if the agent is not kind enough to refund the balance of #100,000. However, if you have more money to throw away you can involve Police, Lawyers and Courts.

This happens when you fail to do the right thing. While in the process, you didn't mention a lawyer and now that chips are down, you want to involve a Lawyer.

What about Taiwan Corolla? I was told that it's not as strong as American Corolla and will most likely have issues on the long run.

I have gender error on my Drivers License Card. I informed them when I first applied and I was told to apply for correction and also attach some documents which I did. I was further told to go, that the correction will be effected before the license is due for renewal. I have now applied for renewal and still discovered same error. I reported at their office and was informed that correction of such errors have been suspended and there's no immediate remedy pending when the suspension is set aside.

Op, these rates you're quoting are probably from 5 years ago. The prices have jumped through the roof over the past 3 years. I asked someone for a plot of land at Independence layout a few months ago and he was quoting N12m and Trans Ekulu is going for over N15m now. Even Emene is now over N10m.

It's unbelievable what's going on in Nigeria these days.
