presido1:Something of the past? Not going to happen. It'll be great if it does though. It's now battle of brains and wits, ![]() |
They are more than that, but you won't go into one with someone you're not happy with .I suppose it's one of the foundations and catalyst that gets things going, ![]() |
Beaf:True say true say. Whether it's the North, South, East ot West, we're all been colonised even though we are independent. We're still been stolen from. The Niger Delta area is not only for the Niger Deltans, but for the whole of Nigeria. When will we open our eyes and together fight against those destroying the area of the nation's main source of wealth? After all the arguement, what we need is UNITY Without unity, Nigeria will [b]never ever move forward. |
Peromnia: I hope you get unbanned. Chai. Are you from Edo state?(No tribalism or anything. Just curious) ![]() freecocoa: ![]() |
johndoe200:As if right now those that can afford to pay have electricity to show for it. Are people not spending so much already on diesel, fuel, inverters and all that now? Besides, if it's privatised, it might be expensive initially, but if there are more than one suppliers in the country, they'll be vying for customers, and that will make them reduce charges to get more customers. yodiyokun:The government started it and knew that it was time to privatise when they couldn't keep up the maintenance et al, There is already the basic infrastructure for electricity and it's been there for years way before I was born and if the state of it is declining rather than advancing, isn't it time for them to admit that they can't handle it and give it to people who are willing to do so? Isn't it a shame that Camerooun are going to start supplying electricity to the "giants of Africa" http://thenationonlineng.net/web3/news/20254.html As you said, good governance is certainly what we should demand from the people we call leaders. |
Idowuogbo:Up opera! ![]() Didn't know you sing too ![]() |
Ranoscky:I tell you ![]() We've not finished dealing with Nigeria and Africa. We've left the West and are now going to the middle east. Smashing eh! Interesting reads though ![]() |
Boomark:Kettle calling pot black. I comment my reserve ![]() |
Duke-chimi: ![]() |
Idowuogbo:You certainly aren't. Most of my friends think classical/opera is funeral music LMBO. This is modern and kinda appeals to them. I think they're brilllliant. I still love my "real" opera/classical artistes though ![]() mystikal:*thumbs up* |
Epiphany:Thank you jare Beync:LOOOOOOOOOOOL ![]() I like, I like ![]() Firearm:What kind of trick question is that? I'll tell MD to wait. I'll drop off wifey and then pick him up. |
wynish87:Lets just stop at the first. Forget the buts for now ![]() We've not gotten to that level yet to do what the Chilean government did. We're getting there, |
AjanleKoko:We've got the brains to change Africa. We just need the attitude and mentality to actually DO SOMETHING for Africa rather than for self and family only. If this exceptional men get a chance to get into power or anywhere where change can be made without been hated and when they do get in there, will they change when they see so much power and money and forget their purpose? |
Studio CFR: Since when? Which girl said "yes" to you Studio? I pity her in advance. silvertuke:Abi LOL. |
yodiyokun:How long has electricity been run by the government? How many time a month or even week have we had constant and stable electricity? From the time I was born till now, NEVER.(I'm not that old by the way )Was telecommunication in Nigeria not in a state before it was privatised? Also, the rail network in England is privatised. Go check it out. Only the NHS is not privatised and maybe some other areas, Besides, you can't compare the UK and USA with Nigeria. Even though the government is corrupt to a level there, they still have their citizens well being in mind. In Nigeria, does the government give a damn about us? NO! Lets not decieve ourselves and compare ourselves with other nations that have their government running things. We've got to be real and face the truth. Privatisation is the way forward in circumstances like ours, |
This is sooooo interesting and makes my day everytime I read something like this. I guess I'm a rebel ![]() Wish we could rebel like this in Nigeria and teach the "powers that be" lessons. |
I wrote that in response to what her mum said not just randomly. That's the whole point of the quote I inserted so people know it's all in reference to what was highlighted. As in if my mum told me I can't be with someone from a different culture, I'll tell her that. Not necessarily because I don't want someone from my culture, but because because been with someone from my culture does not guarantee hapiness(just the way been someone from a different culture does not guarantee hapiness). Bottom line, whether your partner is from your village or from China, it doesn't matter as long as you're both happy. |
El Guapo:Too much he say I say, So you is not a gold diga eh? Proof ![]() oweniwe:Chai! |
Why is you sadding for El G? We does business deal. There be no stringing attach. Besides, you says to Bookie that he can having me because you don't the "troubleshooting type". Is you confused? ![]() Whys complained now? Don't be sadding though. I still liking you for expeliments ![]() Enjoyed your singledness ![]() |
formebyme:Typical Nigerian "the government knows best" attitude that's killing the country. If I don't know means I'm not meant to know? Are you for real? They steal our money, go to war, commit atrocities and because I'm not in that "level", I should close my eyes and shut my ears? It's my country too. I voted them in. If I don't like what's been done, I should be able to cry out. If I don't have info, how will all that happen? Abeg, ignorance na disease o. |
So her mum is and I'm not allowed to have mine? . It's alrighty though tpia1: |
Have you read to see the post I wrote that in reference to? The person said her mum says any relationship with anyone from a different culture won't work(paraphrased). Of course, I could be happy in a relationship with someone from my culture. Don't try to nit pick and over analyse. ![]() |
Venezuela has certainly gained. They've found out that US had been trying to get neighbouring nations to isolate her. Is that right? Besides, it's been said that the leaks are not putting lives in danger. If the US doesn't like anything, they cry foul. |
Bookie, go and stealed monies and peace now. I hold your hands? I telling you, I only went with El G to doing expeliment. Expeliment finis, El G finis. Understanded? I AM NOT OLD O. I will bashy your head if you tells me that again. Bashy, it is not that mush you miss. Don't be fear. |
chyz:What makes him think it won't guarantee steady power? I think it will. If it's privatised and the company does not supply electricity, you simply stop paying. They lose out. So they'll try as much as possible to provide steady light. Besides, I don't think many people would mind increased tariffs as long as there is constant electricity. As long as it's still in the hands of the government, they'll have nothing to lose. It'll simpy be another avenue true which more money can be stolen. Is it not even a shame that we provide electricity to other nations and we don't have it. ![]() He said rather than the planned privatization, government should provide investments needed to stimulate the economy for rapid growth, saying this would impact directly on all households in the country. What does that have to do with electricity? ![]() How much has the gorvernment already "invested"? What has it yielded? Man should go and sit down with the money he has stolen. Rubbish. Even if new "investments" impact positively on all households, it simply means more people will have money to spend on generators, inverters and whatnot which is not great for the environment. That is IF any average household gains from it. PS: What is NLC? |
What I find really hmmm is that he is been arrested in the UK and prosecutors are trying to get him to Sweden for a crime that had been dismissed earlier on by a judge. If he's taken to Sweden, I reckon the US may want him extradited and tried for espionage though technically I don't think it's that. They'll have to think of something else to charge him with. I doubt if he'll even get a fair trial. As Dan Gillmor said "If journalism can routinely be shut down the way the government wants to do this time, we'll have thrown out free speech in this lawless frenzy." Let him be. He's a journalist. As far as I'm concerned, he's simply doing his job in bringing "classified" info to light- Prime ministers lying, US not minding their business and I so loved the one about Mervyn king about Cameron and co. Sick and tired on the US anyway so I'm totally with him. I also think he was uber silly with those women. They clearly wanted to get him and well, they have. Shame to see how men get screwed up almost all the time by women. Smh. PS:I'm female too |
alj harem:You like trouble. ![]() So when is the real construction beginning? |
' |
Boomark: ![]() Keep on waiting ![]() oweniwe: . You is a very good tisha with tishing with good hexample and hexplanashion. ![]() Bookie, what does you wants? ![]() El Guapo:I dont wanting nobody ooo, You is gold digger, bookie is mumu tisha, I will staying fly(ing) and single ![]() I have coming to crass to learn to making moneys. ![]() |
