RomanceRe: Is It Strange That I Don't Want A Church Wedding? by Ladyrsky46: 7:01am On Dec 10, 2010
Oba234:
I don't what this people are talking about. A church is not a building. It's a gathering of a group of believers and it can be in a court room, your village, etc. The bible says where two or three are gathered I am there, so ignore all this people that don't know their bible. Anywhere you have your wedding is fine with papa God.
Yep yep!!!
MIKKYIJEGE:
my guy the choice is yours.you dont need to go into something because people are doing it.
Yep yep!!!

Bottom line, I don't think it is. Get your Pastor to bless the marriage and go on with your court thing. If it's not for you, don't do it 'cos you'll hate every moment of the day that's supposed to be one of the happiest in your life. Xx

Kini big deal? undecided
As long as it's not degenerating into what you wouldn't want your little sister or brother to see(if you've got any sense or decency and morals) then it's alright.

At the peril of sounding really "out of touch", do most Nigerian women really ask men for money that easily? huh
I've seeen wayyy too many posts saying Nigerian women love money yaddi yaddi yaddi, and I wonder if they just go to men and just tell them, "I need N50,000"? undecided

@poster, love can come in different forms. If he's taking you to see his family, it is usually the first step towards marriage, esp if he's Ibo. wink
grin grin grin

@Poster, for you to ask is a bit hmmm
However, if you'd asked if taking you to his family and all that meant he was thinking about marriage, then most likely yes, smiley

As a patriotic Nigeria(as you mostly claim to be), can you die for Nigeria provided that your death would change Nigeria positively.
I would if I know for sure that there'll be a positive change and I will go to heaven( grin).
We need patriots. We see the US, UK et al, you think they got to where they are now with selfish and self-centred people? Nope. A lot of their fore fathers died so that their upcoming generation will enjoy what they're enjoying now.
It's my country. I love her and I am ashamed of the way she is at the moment(forget all the Nigeria is the best place on earth and Nigerians are the best.) I am thoroughly ashamed and if I can make a whole lot of difference, why not? undecided

So Yoruba and Hausa people don't kill goats and cows; buy new cars and their ladies don't suddenly turn fashionista(though Yoruba women don't need to turn fashionistas overnight with the everyday of the week owambe they probably throw or attend grin).
Foreign AffairsRe: London - Students Smash Conservative Party Headquarters by Ladyrsky46: 8:43pm On Dec 09, 2010
omo~fat:
The british people did not vote for this contraption o. They voted primarily against Brown and his version of Labour. Some of us had hopes about the coalition because we thought the LibDems would be there to curb some of the more grotesque excesses of the tories. Sadly, Clegg seems to be happier just riding in his government issue jaguar rather than standing up for his principles.

Not too different from the states actually. The left just seems to be rolling over and allowing the rabid right to do as they please.

When even the normally placid brits start to riot then you know we have a problem. Expect french-style riots very soon!
There's no way you could have voted against Brown and not labour.
Clegg just disgusts me. He is a faust.
From the moment he decided to join the coalition with the Conservatives, I knew nothing will work. The Lib Dems and Conservatives have absolutely NOTHING in common from principles to manifestos. They are like oil and water.
Clegg was simply power hungry and now, Liberal Democrats know that their party is FINISHED because come next election, no sane adult will vote for them. I'll rather vote for the conservatives who believe in something and stand by it than Lib Dems who promised students no increase in fees and totally went against it. angry

Why the shock Firearm? Are women not allowed to be in NL auto section or sell cars?

Eme, if you marry someone you have no love for or nothing in common with, you'll be bitter because what is the liklehood of you "developing" love for someone else when the person you love and hopefully loves you back is around? Slim. Don't make a mistake and get into something you'll live to regret or become part of the divorce statistics. Sit down and be true to yourself. Pray about it if you're religious. Forget parents and people including friends to an extent. They will be gone and you will live with the man and bear the hapiness or suffering alone not them. Be wise hun. X
