mercyland2015: No, there is no penalty for rejecting projects. It may reduce your points, but it doesn't have any negative effect. Once the project is awarded and you are not interested in it, don't click on accept, click on decline and that settles it. If you accept, you cannot cancel without the help of of the employer. |

Godmother: @Godmother, send me a mail. Uhhh! Ask the employer if he is satisfied with the work or not and tell him you are ready to make adjustments. You have treat them like kings, otherwise your money will hang and you may get a negative review. Thread softly with him please. That is how FL is o, they will quickly remove their commission, they don't want to know what happens during the transaction. You will soon get used to it and by the time you start earning correct money, it wouldn't bother you again. |

Hi guys, we will continue from where we stopped yesterday. I will combine No. 2 and 3 together. Bids - Tickets to winning projects When you register as a new freelancer, you will be given a free account which carries 10 bids. Later on, you will need to upgrade to a membership level to get more bids. Here, I will teach you how to quickly maximize your free bids so you can win at least a project. If you are able to win a good project, you can use the money to upgrade to a membership plan and also write tests. If not, you may have to use your money to upgrade. Maximising your bids You need to look for small projects you can quickly write and get a review to establish your profile. Don't work for 'content mills'. These are people who will want you to work with them for a long time, with poor payment ($1 for 500 words) and they may not be willing to give you reviews as at when needed. So, here you will look for employers who have 1 - 5 articles to write (even if the payment is low). The competition is fierce though, but not to worry, one of my guys in my first thread taught us how to write winning bids. He said, he could sell eggs to chickens, and I did not believe it at first. I tested the proposal and it worked like a magic. We will use his sample proposal here. Your goal here is to get little projects that can earn you reviews quickly. Reviews are employer's feed backs on projects. If you handle the project very well, you get positive review, which can assist you to get more projects. If you get negative review, it will not help your profile as no employer wants to hire someone who is not capable. Some of the reasons why employers give negative reviews are: 1. Inability to carry out the instructions of the employer 2. Lack of skill (i.e. you are not trained to handle such jobs) 3. Late submission etc. It will do you good to avoid all the points listed above. Try as much as possible to please your employer, even if it means going out of your way. So, this is not the time to play with your bids, keep it safe, it is a ticket to winning projects. I will continue later in the day (if i am free). I've got to work now! You can ask your questions, I will try as much as possible to answer it. Be determined to succeed and you will! |

cmecproblem: Thanks. Yes, you can even build houses and buy cars. You will get to a point where God will reward your efforts with big projects. That's all we need. You don't need lots of projects, pray for God to direct the right projects your way and before long, you will share your testimonies too. Keep working and keep saving. The future is bright for us! 1 Like |

mumbasa: I am trying hard not to get distracted, but I think I will answer you. Nigerians are good people with great hearts. You only need to meet the right people to be convinced. I have been working on Freelancer for 4 years now and just last year, i had the urge to help people get to where I am. I opened a thread and taught people how to make money on freelancer. https://www.nairaland.com/1833989/how-make-1000-month-writing That was my first thread. So far by the grace of God, I have trained over 100 people that thread alone and they are making money online today. I am financially comfortable by the grace of God and I don't need to proof anything to anyone. The Payoneer account opening you are talking about is free and anyone can open an account on it. I don't help people to open accts. I am too busy for that. You don't have to believe my story, only don't confuse people who are ready to learn here. The more I help people, the more God blesses and lifts me up. I am here to do it again and with God's backing, a lot of people here will be financially comfortable. Watch out for testimonies soon! 11 Likes |

mercyland2015: The FL app is for phone use. I think the problem you are experience has to do with your computer speed and internet connection speed. I may not be too correct, but let's wait for other people's opinion on the issue. |

Why you will not make money on Freelancer I want to help you guys further, so that you will avoid the huddles and struggles I had at the beginning of my career. I also noticed that a lot of new freelancers have the same problem. I will like to address it here. Some of the things that will not allow you to make money are: 1. Your profile set up /description 2. Number of bids 3. Quality of bids 4. Level of expertise. Etc. Let's start with the first one; Profile Set up / Description This is a very important aspect of your freelancer account. This is where you can market your skills and let employers know what you can do. Most employers read the profile description to know who you are before they hire you. If you are able to create an attention grabbing profile, your chances of winning projects will greatly increase. Basically, your profile description should contain: 1. Your full name at the top 2. The skill you want to market on FL. e.g. Mine is written as Writer, Internet and Market Researcher. It covers all kinds of writing and research. 3. Introduce yourself - who are you? What is the name of your company (if you have one), mention your skills and provide a brief history of your journey in your career. 4. Bring out each of your skill and explain your level of expertise in a paragraph. For example, I wrote this paragraph on my E-book and Report skill, I wrote: We write high quality, copyscape passed, well researched e-books for individuals and corporate organizations. We are also skilled in creating Bible study manuals and guides. We transcribe videos into e-books and also format e-books for Amazon Kindle platform. Now, you know how to write a good profile description, log into your freelancer account and write a powerful description. Tomorrow, I will continue with the rest of the points. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

ITbomb: Hmmm! My brother, both are good. But I prefer freelancer, because they charge less commission on projects - 5%-10% while that of Fiverr is 20%. You can charge more money on projects on FL, while on Fiverr, though you can still charge more, but guys there are accustomed to $5 mentality. With Fiverr, you don't have to bid, once you set your profile in place, all you need is wait for jobs to come, while there are competitions on FL and you have to bid to win a project. etc etc etc. But the thing is, you can have accounts on the two websites. I have an account on Fiverr too. 2 Likes |
