Congrats madam.

You encouraged some of us, even if I'm not a writer, I bless God for sharing your experience, you made me believe a Nigerian can do it and it's being a wonderful experience.

I can't also forget Victor and beatzone.

God bless you madam.
Thanks. That's the reason I am sharing it. Imagine getting a job when the image of the country is battered everywhere. Nothing is impossible.

Business › How I Got A Content Writing Job With A European Company That Changed My Life by ladywriter(op):
I've always had the dream to work as a remote content writer (not freelance) with a company. I know two top content writers in Nigeria who have achieved this lofty goal. So I kept pushing to get there. Little did I know that I was already on the path that will lead me there. Below was how it happened:

I assume you know me already. I am Ladywriter. I created this thread "https://www.nairaland.com/4479900/how-make-decent-income-writing
", and "https://www.nairaland.com/1833989/how-make-1000-month-writing".

I stopped working on Freelancer.com to start my writing biz few years ago. It was tough, but I kept going. Two years ago, I sourced clients from LinkedIn. I got about 3 clients all from Europe. I worked with these companies for some time. The least period being six months and the longest - for about 2 years. While working with them, I tried as much as possible to satisfy the clients, but one of them was difficult to please. I eventually lost two of the clients. I kept faith with the remaining one. During this period, I brushed up my seo skill, took paid writing courses worth over $300 with Jon Morrow, bought copywriting books, read virtually all of Neil Patel’s content and followed Brian Dean bumper to bumper. I also bought grammar editing tools. I just kept on learning and improving myself.

Within a year, I became a pro at writing excellent business articles that ranked high on search engines. The articles I wrote for the company began to rank high in Google for our targeted keywords and the company sales soar. The company gives incentives from time to time. For example, they give Amazon Gift cards during Christmas.

Not too long ago, the company wanted to expand its staff strength. I got a call from the CEO asking me if I would like to work for the company full time. I was highly elated! I don’t think I need to tell you my answer (lol). Dreams come true after all. My basic salary for a start is four figures in dollars which translates to six figures in naira. I couldn’t believe my eyes. To cap it all, there are many benefits attached to the job. I will have the opportunity to travel annually to participate in the company’s camp meeting. There are other side benefits apart from my salary.

People, it is good to be hardworking. I can’t begin to tell you the number of hours I spend on my laptop daily including weekends or how much I pay for data monthly. It took me about 3-4 years to get to this point with a lot of learning curves. But it eventually paid off. And this is just the beginning for me.

The truth is, there is no shortcut to success online. There is a process to follow to achieve your dreams. There is no height too high to climb if you are ready to pay the price.

I am writing this piece to encourage someone out there on the path to achieving his or her dreams or someone with a similar dream as mine.

If you are a writer and you want to achieve a similar feat, follow the steps below:

1. Learn how to write business articles
2. Learn how to do SEO
3. Learn how to source clients from LinkedIn
4. Take free and paid writing courses
5. Follow the experts

May God reward your efforts!

Blessings!

It is gradually sinking in.

She is not picking your calls nor replying to your texts.

You keep wondering: Is she losing interest in me or just stressed?

Hmmm! Take heart brother, it is obvious.

Sometimes in a relationship, one party loses interest in the other. In this article, I will show you 7 shocking things that can make a lady to lose interest in you.

1. You make her your emotional crutch

People have problems, I get it. What I don’t get is when a man tries to dump all his problems on his lady because he can’t handle them. I am not saying you shouldn’t share your problems with her after all, a problem shared is half-solved, but don’t dump your problems on her all the time.

2. You are a gentle man and not a Gentleman

Do you know there is a difference between a gentle man and a Gentleman?

No.? Ok. I will tell you.

A gentle man is a man that is gentle. A gentle man is a man that doesn’t want to offend anyone. He is timid and acts cowardly. He does his things gently as if he is handling an egg. A gentle man is unsure of his actions.

A gentleman is a man in control. A man that exudes confidence and is ready to take on the world. He believes in himself and in the actions he takes. He is a man of principles.

Ladies love men who are in control. Men who don’t ask for the next step to take. I mean action takers.

Are you a gentle man or a gentleman?

3. You stopped living your life and lives hers

You stopped living your life because you met a new girl. You stopped going out with your friends and doing what you love to do. She became the center of your world and you became her pedestal.

You don’t do the hobbies that make you happy anymore. All you do is to follow her around. She will not only lose interest, but she will also introduce you to her new man.

4. You are “a boy” who needs a woman and not “a man” who desires a woman

Do you know what it means to be a boy and a not a man?

A boy is needy. He has little respect for himself to the extent that he will do anything to make a woman happy. Of course, women love that. She will play along for a while and take advantage of you until she is tired and then she will lose interest and dump you.

A man who desires a woman is different. He is in control of himself and the relationship. He is strongly grounded, he knows what he wants and is incredibly decisive. Who will not want such a man?

5. You make yourself a limited time offer

You know when they say a product has a “limited time offer”? It means it is a quality product that will soon go out of circulation if you don’t buy on time.

Some men are like that. They make themselves look expensive. If a lady refuses to go out with you, it’s her loss. You flaunt your possession and wealth to intimidate her. You make her realize that it is one of you in the entire world and if she misses you, her world will not be the same.

6. You rest on your laurels

You chased her to get her to date you. But eventually, after she gives in, you stopped the chase. You stopped doing the kinds of stuff that make relationship fun and exciting.

When you do that, it makes the girl lose trust and interest in you since you can’t no longer deliver. It gets boring if there is no more chasing.

7. You are like a boat floating unguided over the waves

In those days, it is common to see children with paper boats by a small stream. They throw the boat into the water and watch it move. The wave of the water will carry the boat up and down.

That is how a man that lacks direction behaves and hear this:

Ladies will not like you.

If you don’t have a life ambition, it means you are an NFA (no future ambition). You have no passion for what you want to do or be in life.
You allow the current of life to carry you to wherever the wind is blowing, your woman will not be with you for long.

Women love ambitious men. Men who make effort to succeed in life. It is a sign of a good future; you know.

It is time to change for the better!
Don’t lose a gem while playing with stones

That’s it. No calls. No text. No visit.

Another day is over without his usual calls to check up on you.

You raised the issue with him, but he gave you a load of excuses on why he has not been calling as usual.

In fact, you have been the one calling lately.

And you can’t help thinking...

Is he losing interest or just busy?

Hmmm! Sister, it is time to wake up.

There are telltale signs of a man losing interest in a relationship and in this article, I will deal with 5 of such signs.

Are you ready?

Let’s get started.

1. He is an "apartment renter" and not a "home buyer"

There are people who rent houses and those who buy them. Some men are like people who are looking for houses to rent. They are just looking for “ladies to rent”. They are not looking for a long-term relationship. They only want a lady who will be there to satisfy their needs for the meantime.

Some people who are financial buoyant can buy a house. Such people are not looking for houses to rent. Likewise, there are men who are looking for women to marry and not ‘rent’.

If your man falls into the first category i.e. the "apartment renter", he will lose interest in you very fast because he is just renting your “space”. When he is done with you, he will move on to other available “spaces”.

Are you dating an “apartment renter," or a “home buyer,"?

2. He cannot chase someone who is behind him

This one will sting, so get ready ladies!

Some men are achievers. They are gunning for the top of their profession. They are professionally certified or reading to get certified. They are running one course after the other either offline or online. Most men who are achievers always love their women to also tag along educational or otherwise.

And you are there sitting down with your Diploma, HND or Bachelor’s degree. You are satisfied with where you are. You have no plans to move forward in your professional career. You are done with education!.

Perhaps, he has even advised you on several occasions to up your game, but you are just comfortable with whom you are and where you are.
Hmmm! This is a recipe for your man to lose interest in you very fast.

3. The dude has his eyes on a new “hottie”

Remember the apartment rental I mentioned above, most of them don’t stop renting. They will go to other fine places to look for newly built modern houses that are modern.

Some guys are like that too. They are constantly searching for slaying ladies in their office, entertainment places, school, etc. Whenever they get a new lady, they lose interest in you very fast.

The truth is, men are fired up with the thrill of a new chase. He will stay with you for as long as there is no other option in sight. But as soon as a new opportunity arrives, you become an old story.

4. You are not a “ride or die”
“
A ride or die” means you are a liability and not an asset to your man. Your man will evaluate your value based on what you bring to the table. He will consider the value you are adding to his life and goals.

If instead of improving his life, you made it bitter; you are not adding value to his life.

If he feels that you are not beneficial to his life and his dreams, he will pack his bags mentally and follow suit physically in no time.

5. He has eaten the forbidden fruit

Call it old school or something else, I still believe in no sex till after marriage.

When there is nothing to look forward to in a relationship, it is boring.

When, instead of keeping yourself, you freely give yourself to your man for as many time and he wants, it will be boring. It is a matter of time, it will park up.

6. You turn him to your ATM

This is common. In fact, most ladies go into relationships because they need someone to take care of their financial needs.
Once a man comes into your life, you automatically become his responsibility. You want him to be responsible for your daily upkeep, your pocket money, your recharge cards, your school fees, etc.

This is the reason you see many young and upwardly mobile men running away from dating relationships. They can’t cope because of incessant demands from ladies who have turned them into an ATM.

It is time to wake up and start doing the right thing.

It's your turn GUYs, add yours.

Romance › 5 Frightening Reasons To Stop Playing Hard To Get by ladywriter(op): 9:05am On Sep 12, 2018
You've heard of playing hard to get, right?

Here's the scenario:

You are beautiful

Several men have asked for a date with you

But, you think you shouldn’t tell them ‘yes’ immediately

It's not as if you are not interested in their proposal

You simply want them to ask and ask again before you say 'yes'

So, you decide to play hard to get in order to make them work for it.

You just want to be chased. You are simply enjoying the game.

You know what?

It is time to stop that game.

Check out the frightening reasons below:

1. You will lose a potential partner

The thing is, a good man that likes you but respect boundaries will not pester you for long. He will go and talk to other women. It is not because he doesn't like you, but because it is not right to always ask a lady out for months until she agrees to go out with you.

On the other hand, men who don't respect your boundaries will still continue to pester you. It's not because they are in love with you, but because 'no' means nothing to them.

They don't care about what you want, they are only concerned about what they want.

You agreeing to date after a few requests do not make you cheap. If you wait for a man to chase you for months before you think of giving him a chance, you are really setting up yourself for failure.

2. You will fall into wrong hands

People who only want what they can’t have don't value what they manage to get. For some of them, by the time they managed to get you and they see your imperfections, they feel disappointed that they have wasted their precious time chasing an imperfect woman. Such men tend to behave in an unacceptable manner.

3. You will end up alone

Let me tell you one truth here. Women are everywhere searching for husbands. The thing is, good men are scarce. If you don't want to stay alone for the rest of your life, you better stop playing hard to get. It is an express road to a life of loneliness.

4. Men will treat you like a thing to use

Playing hard to get is the same as treating yourself as a “thing to be acquired”. Men who do not have good values will also treat you like a thing to use. Your desires and thoughts mean nothing to them. This is the reason why some women complained that men treat them like their property. It is the way you present yourself that you will be treated.

You can add the fifth one!

Career › Re: Racism: How I Lost India Client On Fiverr Because I'm A Nigerian - Photos by ladywriter(f): 2:27pm On Aug 09, 2018
When it comes to freelance work online, I have my rules.

I have suffered severally online as a Nigerian. When I started freelancing online (on Freelancer.com), I completed two projects that should have brought in around $700, but they did not pay. The two of them were Indians. One said it was because I am a Nigerian and that he has been scammed before. So, it was a payback. The second one ran away. Since then, I have rules in place. I don't work for Indians. Most of them are scammers. Very few of them are good.

I will encourage you to stay clear of Indians and their relatives (Bangladesh and co.). If you must work for them, make sure they pay 80% of your project fees.

Secondly, I will encourage you to read my thread on how to get clients on LinkedIn (check my profile). I don't work on any of those websites anymore. I pick my clients. I only work for three clients on a monthly basis and I earn more than what a banker earns in a month. I also have enough time to build my side projects along the line. So, don't waste your time on Fiverr, move on LinkedIn and up your game.

All the best.

Hello LadyWriter, I really appreciate you taking out time to educate us on this forum. However, I think the LinkedIn of today is now much stricter thna that of before. Adding multiple connections and sending unsolicited messages are now a violation of TOS. I'd like you to explain how we can bypass that and get buyers without violating TOS.

Thanks.
@Joan1678, good observation. LinkedIn is a very strict platform and you have to be very careful when sending invitations to people you don't know. I have some few tricks up the sleeves that I used to grow my connections from 82 to 3,400. My invitations are superb and I have very few if any rejection. One of the tricks is "Never send an invitation without a message". It is very important. Crafting invitation messages is a tutorial on its own.

Nice one OP, what if you are good in other stuffs like data entry and not writing, what is your take on this? Is there any online legit company that does online entry data? I await your response, thank you
@MrsAnyanwu, hmmm! Majority of data entry companies are scams. But you can try your luck. Just type "data entry companies" in the search bar on LinkedIn and see what comes up. I will advise you to learn other skills you can use to make money apart from data entry. Skills like graphic design, website design, Internet research, social media marketing, etc. You can learn most of these skills free online. Check out Alison.com and Youtube. You will find great resources to help develop other skills you can use to make money online.

@Nnaabros, obviously there are things you are not doing right. If you don't write well, you don't know how to win customers with your bid and you are not persistent and patient, you will not make a dime, not only on freelancer but on other writing platforms online. The problem is not the platform or the strategy, it is your approach. Change your approach. Never give up. You will see significant improvement.
