For anyone applying, prepare these before contacting them:

- A simple teaching CV, not a general CV.
- Subjects/classes you can handle confidently.
- Any lesson note, tutoring, church/mosque children class, home lesson, or school placement experience.
- Your availability and whether you live close enough to resume early.

Also ask politely about salary range, work hours, class size, accommodation/transport expectations, and whether training is paid. Do not send private documents over WhatsApp until you have verified the school.

Applicants will be furnished with details of application after expressing interest via sms.

I am merely screening applicants and the owner of the school will be in touch personally with the shortlist of candidates.

Training is free, no one is collecting money from any applicant.

Details of where to submit application etc only after initial contact and expression of interest is made.

A private nursery and primary school that uses British curriculum and located in Lugbe, Abuja requires the services of a male teacher.

The primary requirement for the job is a willingness to learn and improve as training will be giving.

Work experience is not compulsory but will be an added advantage for successful candidate.

Preferred candidates could be NYSC members posted to Abuja or fresh graduates who have completed NYSC.

It is advisable that candidate resides also in Lugbe or close proximity.

Step 1. Budget your monthly expenses in advance by setting a spending limit e.g All household expenses (including feeding, dstv, light bill etc) must stop at 300k.

Step 2. Set a monthly savings target e.g 300k and make sure you put that money where it is hard for you to reach. E.g cowrywise or put it in an account that you don't use app for not have an ATM card for it.

Step 3. Set 200k for contingency/emergency. If heaven wants to fall let it fall, this money is only for emergency purposes only. E.g baby falls sick, mumsy falls sick, this money should be in a separate account you can't easily touch except you go physically to the bank to withdraw it.

Step 4. Set 200k for other expenses including your transportation, data and other personal work related expenses.

You should be able to save 3.6 million per year like this and put it in fixed deposit or treasury bills so it doesn't become idle funds that depreciate with inflation.

The emergency funds too can grow overtime as you won't likely use up all of it every month.

I lived with this man for 11 years in Lagos before relocating to Abuja. He was a good man not a perfect man but a good man that meant well for many.

Abuja is one hell of an overrated place. It doesn't have its own economy beyond politics and looting. People who haven't traveled to civilized countries would equate it to a paradise.. Everything there requires one stupid Aboki connection or the other.
If I were to be given the option of living in the best parts of Abuja or similar living standards places in Lagos, I'd choose Lagos anyday anytime.
Real dumb ass city. Fake life, weak economy outside of politics, zero mental stimulation and ingenuity beyond real estate, scrambling for connection, lazy folks heavily dependent on stolen public funds, no active industries. Just infrastructure that preserves the ruling class.

That's your opinion. I relocated from Lagos to Abuja since 2011 and have no regrets.

Was Dangote refinery built in one year? Which year did work at the Dangote refinery start or are you only focusing on when they started producing petroleum?

The reason for sacking them was joining a Union. Is joining a Union against the law? As an employer you don't have power to go against the law of the land, which grant employees every right to or not join any Union of their trade.

It is not against the law either for a private employer to refuse to employ or retain union members.

The law gives workers the rights to join unions but it does not force employers to employ workers who are in unions meaning an employer can decide not to employ members of union and it will not be termed illegal by any court.

The problem is the fare. Average trip consumes between 1.5 to 2 liters and 20k fuel will get you 18+ liters.

If you're doing 3k trips you will need 9 trips to break even after commission and fuel

This is minus cost of moving about in between trips.

But still check your catalytic converter, silencer, plugs and nuzzle to be sure maybe they are not causing your car to overwork.

So I have an issue,

After staying 2 years in an apartment, my rent expired exactly August 1st, 2024 and after expiry landlord reached out for his money and I politely told him I’ll be moving out and I need some time to secure a new place before parking my load out of his house, he then asked for how much time, I told him maximum by middle of September (next month) I should have gotten a new space. This man then told him I’ll have to pay him for 2 months that is august and September and I’m like how possible? I just told you I need some time to move my loads and you are asking me to pay? Okay I didn’t want to argue so I should stopped the conversation and left politely.

So my question now is, what should I do in this case?

Please bear in mind that when I got this apartment, he collected legal fees and I was never given any agreement form to sign.

I honestly don’t want to pay him any dime. What can I do? How best can I approach this.

That's not correct. My Firman gen has spoilt my circuit board due to high voltage supply. My saving grace was that I connected stabilizer to my TV else my TV too would have been damaged.
