Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How Best Do I Answer These Interview Questions by LagBlogger(m): 1:02pm On Mar 08, 2023 |
There are many good answers to this question but this is my humble submission. It doesn't have to be like this:
Q1: Because this position will afford me the opportunity to build skills and acquire valuable work experience in line with my career goals.
Question 2: I am a good fit because I have not only met the requirements for the position but I have also built up necessary soft skills that will make my pursuit of excellence through this job a rewarding experience for all persons I come in contact with in the course of discharging my duties.
In addition, I possess a strong drive to express the best version of myself in this position. |

Health › Re: Is This A Fake Drug? by LagBlogger(m): 5:05pm On Jan 23, 2023 |
jaephoenix: Lol. This is seriously funny. A pharmacist told you not to take a drug because it causes kidney failure, and you disobeyed your doctor? Please you should have asked that pharmacist which drugs doesn't have organ failure as a side effect? The truth is all drugs are poison. And that includes the pills, herbs, agbo etc. Anything that alters the body physiology is a drug. The paracetamol y'all abuse causes liver failure. The ibuprofen/ibucap/diclofenac causes kidney failure. Does it mean if you take it according to doc prescription you'll have organ failure? No! First thing, the doc won't prescribe it if you already have an organ failure, and if he does, it is for short period and he has weighed the pros outweighs the cons. It is not funny because some doctors are incompetent and yes pharmacists know drugs better than doctors. All drugs have side effects but their side effects varies. Some are mild while others are strong. Avoid drugs with strong side effects because the doctor will not be able to save you nor will he accept blame when the worst happens. Don't give people this type of advise as you are not qualified to give it. It is life we are talking about here not merely an ailment. |
Health › Re: Is This A Fake Drug? by LagBlogger(m): 4:59pm On Jan 23, 2023 |
Kellie069: Doctor said you should buy! Pharmacist said the drugs has been banned by govt !! Probably because the pharmacy didn’t had the drug for sale! If the doctor says it’s okay for consumption; then do it !!! The doctor knows what’s wrong with your relative and he knows what is required !! A banned drugs doesn’t mean it will kill anyone who takes it ! Just that sometimes , the compositions of a drug may not be in-line with government standard and that yet again in some cases doesn’t make the drug harmful to consume! Don't kill someone with bad advise. A pharmacist is in a better position than a doctor to say which drug should not.be used. Doctors know more about ailments than pharmacists but not the other way round when it comes to drugs. |

olaeffect: And you think there is no reason behind that? Why will the rich in Nigeria spend and settle their children abroad despite their wealth in Nigeria? If even the rich in Nigeria settle their children abroad, go for medicals, vacation etc, abroad. Why should you advise the poor and the middle class to remain in Nigeria?
Is there something you are not really getting? Do you think driving a bullet proof vehicle of N150m with 15 MOPOL, with 2 standby generator working 24/7 in your house is being rich, while your children cannot even live with you but are living in Cyprus in a 2 bedroom house with 24/7 electricity, one small Toyota none bullet proof car with no police escort whatsoever?

alphabbey1: Post full of such fallacy. From the first point of 0.5% earning 200k/month to this gibberish comment. Better widen your horizon. what remain to complete your disdain post is to include "there are no homeless, broke white US citizen"
You are actually making zero sense. And only want to create an unnecessary argument based on lie.... First of all, no state or federal Goverment in Nigeria have any power to reclaim your land or house unless it falls amidst Goverment road which is pretty same anywhere in the world..... Meaning of C of O can be seen below to educate u more.... I can't believe someone will just wake up and think its easier to be homeless in Nigeria than in US....
And about a black man having chance to become US president before Nigeria produce an Igbo President, I don't even want to explore that so as not to bring my IQ down to your level. Coz even a layman knows reverse is the case.... Thank you for educating the arrogant ignoramus. I have read many of his negative posts on other threads. Always painting Nigeria black and claiming people here are extremely poor whereas there are honest hard-working rich people here that can pay his gross yearly income on a monthly basis if they so wish. Personally I would ignore him but a lot of people read comments on nairaland and they could be led astray by his ignorant, negative talk. You didn't just reply him, you educated others who would have been led astray. |

Akpaamunsi: A lot of international student care workers make that in a month in Australia. Please how many of these directors are there exactly? And what are their regional or tribal affiliation ? U make it seem as if it is so easy to get federal jobs in Nigeria after returning overseas. I have so many friends who returned from UK, Europe and USA during Jonathan's time after their masters that couldn't secure good jobs till today, .. they had to enter the streets to hustle or relocate to other countries. Please stop this arguement, stop discouraging those who don't have connections from leaving Nigeria. Nigeria is gone and cannot be salvaged. Oga like I said I am not arguing with you again about whether or not there are well paid directors or not. I never said anyone should not leave and what do you mean by discouraging others from leaving when this whole thing started with social workers not being caregivers. Have I said no one should not travel out? Alot of foreign students don't earn up to 5 million a month if you convert it to naira. Stop lying. My sis leaves in Australia and is a social worker, even though she has 2 jobs and earns well compared to even bank managers in Nigeria she doesn't earn up to that and I know a lot of people in Nigeria who earn far more than she earns. Stop putting words into my mouth. Whoever wants to go can go but don't make it sound like going abroad is eldorado because a lot of Nigerians are struggling abroad even if you pretend that all of them are doing fine. I know a classmate in Nigeria who used to send money to his elder brother in UK to support him and his wife. It goes either way as a lot of people (65,000+) every year still hustle in Nigeria to sponsor their kids abroad to study. |

Akpaamunsi: We are not exactly saying the same thing. Please how many graduates or master degree holders who entered the civil service at level 8 as a set will rise up to become directors in the civil service in 20years, if they are still alive and well at that time ?? A minute percentage. But care giver has a higher chance of succeeding either financially or careerwise in the next 20yrs than someone who returns home to join the civil service. A care giver I know, worked full time in Australia for 3yrs and was able to buy a duplex in ikota estate, lekki after 3yrs. Pls how many civil servants or directors can do that from their salary without stealing and working for 20yrs? How much do directors even earn, if they don't involve themselves in corruption? Please we came to this life to make money and succeed. Career progression is not important where money is concerned. Pls there is no basis for comparison. Ok. I won't argue with you about that but I know for a fact that some returnee directors working at ptad were being paid over 5 million monthly gross and that is just one agency. Some NNPC directors earned far more than that. FIRS, CBN, SEC etc pay really well minus imprest and tour duty just to name a few. You do the math. These guys can buy any house they want anywhere in Nigeria without stealing public funds. |
Travel › Re: The Hypocrisy Of Anti Japa People On Nairaland. by LagBlogger(m): 10:40am On Jan 16, 2023 |
Akpaamunsi: Care givers have career progression to become either care coordinators, case workers or managers, social workers or registered nurses. In Australia, entry level for a care giver(support worker) is certificate 111 in disability or aged care, from certificate 111, the care giver can go on to study a diploma in community services which gives him a direct pathway to become a social worker or diploma in nursing which also gives him a direct pathway to become a registered nurse after spending an extra 1yr to get the degrees after the diploma. These people you term care givers, if they don't divert to social workers or nurses, eventually end up being service managers, service coordinators or directors in the industry they work in. You are talking of 20yrs for an individual to become a director in Nigeria. A lot can happen in 20yrs, the individual may die, resign or may not even get to that level. It is not a straight forward route to become a director in Nigeria because of the Nigerian factors, whereas within these 20yrs, the care giver, would have built houses, saved enough money to return to Nigeria to set up his business, and probably employ the director. Please let's be guided You have merely clarified what I said. If the care giver doesn't upgrade will remain behind a degree holder who can rise to become director in less than 15 years moreso an MSC holder which is what you and the other guy were arguing about. |
Travel › Re: The Hypocrisy Of Anti Japa People On Nairaland. by LagBlogger(m): 9:47am On Jan 16, 2023 |
Akpaamunsi: And who told u care givers don't have career progression in the health industry? U r talking of 20yrs later to own one house on mortgage , whereas a care giver in Australia or UK who knows what they are doing will comfortably build houses in the city and the village within 5years. Agbalaagba odeh. Go and sit down Caregivers are different from social workers. Social workers have career prospects whereas caregivers need further training to progress. On basic pay, a caregiver probably will build some houses in Nigeria within 5 years but without progressing the director will catch-up and surpass him/her eventually. |
