OUR GOVERNOR, THE CHEF MASTER HAS GONE MAD! THOUGH I VOTED FOR THIS MAN BUT I AM BEGINING TO REGRET. HE IS ANOTHER CLUELESS AND USELESS GOVERNOR. HOW CAN A GOV. TURN HIMSELF TO DEMOLITION TEAM LEADER. ANYWAY, HE IS A LEADER WITHOUT A CLUE. I UNDERSTAND THE GUY HAS EVEN FOUGHT WITH ALAKE, OLOWU AND SOME OTHER KINGS. HE SHOULD WATCH HIS BACK!!!!! |
Our son has gone MAD. This guy must be crazy. As a christan, i think this guy has taken this too far. Thank God this was not perpetrated by a muslim, some of my friends in christaindom would have posted all sorts. Is the guy a terrorist of fundamentalist ![]() |

Governor Amosun's misleading statements on Gateway Hotels' concession: True Position The financial performance of the three Gateway Hotels have been abysmal to say the least. Available records show that only #24m dividend was ever paid into the coffers of the government for more than twenty years, right from the time they started operation to their concession. Meanwhile,a sum of USD82.68M which is in excess of cost at current value, was borrowed from external sources by previous administrations to finance the building of the three hotels. In addition to this initial payment, previous Governments gave subvension to run and maintain them because the hotels ran like government parastatals, it was a haven for senior public officers who used the facilities in the hotels virtually free-of-charge huge assets, the debt for whose construction the OGD administration inherited in 2003 and later liquidated during it's tenure, because such a waste was a drain on the resources of the government. In 2007,the Ogun state government, through Gateway Holdings Limited GHL(its investment company),as part of its effort at economic re-engineering,embark on the commercialisation and privatisation of state owned enterprises/agencies which were hitherto operating below expectation. The revitalisation was hinged on the Public Private Partnership PPP platform. Following the inability of the hotels to meet the objectives for which they were setup and reduce government funding, the OGD administration opted to involve private investors in the management and/or ownership of the hotels. Rather outright sale, the concession option was adopted in order to preserve the interest of the government and the people of the state. Due diligence was followed all through the transaction. The move was intended to,amongst other objectives, ensure efficient management of the hotels and generation of higher returns, generate employment for the teeming populace of the state, promote tourism in the state and ultimately partnering the private sector to drive sustainable development in the economic sector. Towards this end, prospective investors were sought for the three (3) Gateway Hotels in Abeokuta,Ota and Ijebu-Ode.Upon the conclusion of the oppen forum, the state government set up a committee to review the report of the forum and make recommendations towards successful implementation of the commercialisation agenda. In fact, one of the hotels, precisely the one in Ijebu-Ode,was concessioned to an insurance company,Equity Assurance Ltd,in which the Ogun state government has the controlling equity. The concessioned hotel, which was rejuvenated and turned around was then renamed Equity Resort Hotel Ijebu-Ode. With this, government in a manner of speaking, ate its cake and still had it. How better could things get? for goodness sake why did SIA never made mention of #520m signature refund accrued to Ogun state govt? Raheem Ajayi |
jensinmi:Amosun is as confused as other ACN governors that rode on the achievement of fashola to get to office. it obvious that this man is confused. OGD did not sell Olumo rock but Olumo rock was conncessioned. Who could have visted Olumo rck before he was given a facelift? Do4s government have money to finance Olumo rock among other demading needs of the state. the anser is NO. Amosuin should stop complaing and work. He is alraedy a failure becuase he has h no masterplan. He is only looking for excuses so as not to be blamed if he does not perform. |
The Christan community in Ogun State today rejected the resolution of the last House of Assembly led by Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun which reversed the return of secondary schools in the state to the missionary owners. Addressing newsmen today at the NUJ Secretariat, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta, Ogun state, Southwest Nigeria, the Bishop of Catholic Church, Rev. Alfred Martins who spoke on behalf of the Christian community in the state, said: “we are aggrieved and angered by the motion passed by Ogun Assembly reversing the process of return of some mission schools to their original owners.”We reject this move with every strength in us as a Christian people in the state. We reject and condemn such a move in a state that has always known peace and progress.”There is a fear that if this position of reversal of the return of schools is pursued, it might inhibit the continuity of the harmonious relationship the state enjoys.”They appealed to the state governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun to build schools rather than taking over their acclaimed schools. The Christian missions, P.M.NEWS learnt, maintained that they entered into an agreement with the government of Ogun state in 2009 under the leadership of Otunba Gbenga Daniel to administer some of the schools and there is a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to that effect. They, therefore, demand unequivocally that the government should respect the agreement. They stated that they will not hesitate to put every legitimate in place to defend their agreement with the state government.”Over the past three years, development and progress have been held hostage and sacrificed at the altar of discord and political crisis. We cannot afford to continue such a legacy. We therefore request that the government of Ogun state steers clear of any action that may clog the wheel of progress in the state. Rather, let all our energies not be spent on conflict management but on progress, development design and implementation,” they stated. |
dustydee: Abayomin70: victorazy:My people while I am in support of corruption, I think it very unfair to condemn someone that was not found wanting by a competent court of all. Can someone tell us specifically what the guy stole We are waiting please, Some of us just criticize for the sake of it. Some people will criticize office holders to the extent that they themselves will be afraid of aspiring to lead so as not to be criticized too. Ogun state is a peculiar state with many gladiators. If they make you today, they are ready to bring you down tomorrow. I voted for ACN but honestly, I don’t think Amosun guy performing better. I was shocked when he announced that public schools initially retuned to owners where being taking over again by the state govt. Lets face it, Govt. cannot run these schools better, I hope this man will perform better. Let criticize positively pls. |
M M M: ![]() Some one needs to "do something" about you before "something do" you. |

rasputinn: rasputinn:Eko ile has nothing to say here. the Master is a basted adn I am sure he accpected 100%. The Iragbiji son of a farmere who claimed a popular name in Lagos. Come to think of it, why would someone hates his biological parents so much that he doesnt not even want to be associated with them? He calimed in his respisne to Mama HID that Mama mogaji is her mum and tat HID knew him very well when he was younger. nd from realiable souce, we understand that mama Mogaji has two daughters. Where does Bola ahmed Iragbiji (BAI) comes in ![]() |
Ystranger:Ystranger, Is mamora from lagos or Ogun State? I understand he is from ijebu. There is this other guy at Transport ministry, Kayode Opeifa. he is eqaully good . I hope he is from lagos too. I dont have problem with any of the listed hopefuls except Remi Tinubu's wife. Enough of Tinubus pls. we dont want Bastards to rule us in Lagos. he should go to Iragbiji in osun state to continue his political moves. shekena |
Hello all, I see nit bad in the expression of pastor Bakare. The man in question is the current Asiwaju of ACN who has been aspiring to lead the Yorubas. I cant brt my life Tinubu lacks every right to lead my own tribe. he should proof to the whole world who his biologial parents are. Who says if ghe gets the position he will not sell us out. in his usuall mannner he used the crops of electcted national assmbly members to give out the speakership position whcih belongs to the southwestner for his selfish reasons. Tinubu is truely a bastard. Time will surely tell |
Na my Papa. Mr lagboyz.

Ystranger:Ase o baba. (Amen Baba) Aro a ro mo (So shall it be) |
dayokanu:I dont think I have business about what names Tribune calls Tinubu!!. I am not a bastard who use left hand to point to his fathers house. Tinubu wanted to rewrite history. He got it wrong. The river that forgets his source goes dry. Asiwaju of what? of drug barons of looters. His cup is full. |
Quote from: Sun of god on Yesterday at 07:25:50 PM Religion should be re-classified as a commercial activity, There is nothing religous about religion especially in Nigeria. Seconded! Thirded!!!! . Churches should be taxed i.e 25% of the takens should be taxed. U can imagine when a church rakes in as much as N10m every sunday in a church where some members can not afford 3 square meal. Members of churches can not afford to send their children to a school buillt with congregation money. I call it Church-Roberry. |
I'd give tinubu the benefit of the doubt on this one. He has nothing to gain from whatever the article was about, and i think he'd have shown that sort of behaviour long before now if that was his mindset. He couldnt have gotten to his present level had he shown such behaviour before now. So i'm inclined to believe some mischievious forces are at work here, trying to discredit him. He's not a small boy who doesnt know his left from his right. And the writer of that article needs to be investigated. Forget it my brother. Omotseye was sent by the bastard son of Iragbiji. For your info Omotseye is the chairman editorial board of "The nations Newspaper" owned by Tinubu. He couldnt have written such a writup without his consent. Come to think of it what has Tinubu said in this letter. Did he apologise? The answer is NO. He has instaed chose to attack Tribune. time will surely tell who is representing the interestof the Yorubas. Tinubu should NOT be trusted. |
Sam is at It again. While I am not in support of Mr bankole's inviolvment in this corrupion saga, sam does not have any right to castigate the guy. bankole is innocent until proven guilty by a comptetent ciourt of law. I also await mr sam to write about the loot of the asiwaju of Lagos. Enough of these pull me down. Omotseye, pls mind your business. |
Dont lets play politics with Islamic Banking license. We should look at the good side of it. After all, who says it might not at the end of the day better even non-muslims than even the muslims. If there is anything like Christianity bank, i can push for its establishment. Its a matter of choice whether to bank with them or not. My people, pls let the Bank be |
Mr Amosun is just a stupid noice maker . He has no idea of what to do next that's why he complains every now and then. We are not fools. You promised free education and also plan to give 10,000 jobs in 100 days. he should note that we can not be deceived like aregbesola is doing to Osun people. Enough of this your endurance treck. You shall be kicked out if u fail to perform |
You are very wrong! OGD didnt borrow N100b. It was not approved by the selfish G15. no tangible project can be executed without borrowing. Lagos state with the huge IGR has borrowed over N400b. It goes to show that Amosun is confused. he is not ready for the job. Time will tell |
To all right thinking South-Westerner you will agree with me that the Bastard of iragbiji (Tinubu) has started journey of selef-distruction. His boy in the Nation news paper, Omotseye has been sent to a write up that will pull Pa Awolowo down. No, way he can not. Quote me, Mr Tinubu can not be Yoruba leader. he is an opportunist that has sold Yorubas for his selfish interes. Eko Ile, Watch out. This is the begining of the end of ACN |
But I bought my yesterday in Ibadan at the rate of 850 per gallon, Bros, relocate to delta or Bauchi. kero is cheaper. ![]() |
Amosun is definately being misled. Privatisation is actually the order of governace. For your informationm the 3 hotels were not making profit after over 20years of its existence. They were rather going to Ogun government for funding every year. After the hotels were privatised (not sold) as being alleged, the fortune has been turned around in the last one year. It should also be noted that Ogun Govt is still holding a certain share . Egbetokun is misleading mr amosun. i pray he does not regret this. ogun people are waiting for real actio not personal vandata. ![]() |
hey wait a minute, ibidun ajay!!!isn't that the lady that won, was it face of lux abi na Miss nigeria pageant, that owns one event management company in lagos, abeg someone should please clarify for me Na she , Formally Miss Ibidun Ajamy |

Nice one. President. you an do better though!! |
From all indications, expectations are high from the good people of Ogun state for Ogun State governor to deliver. Senator Amosun should be careful of sycophants. Information has it that billboard of oppositions that contested with him few weeks ago have been defaced or pull-down by his overzealous party men. Common, Elections are over they should face the real business of Governance.! He should call his men to order before they mess him up. It was also reported by most newspapers today (1/6/2011) that Senator Amosun ordered the arrest of a former commissioner for expressing a different opinion on the naming of Ijebu Ode stadium after Dipo Dina because the same stadium had earlier been named after another iillustriousson of the state by the immediate past government. My Governor, pls take it easy b4 you are misled by overzealous llieutenantswho are only after ththeirockets. I wish you the best your excellency! |
