A Nigerian Uber driver identified as Wahab Olaatanda, has taken to his Instagram page @w.o_exclusive, to reveal how he returned a whopping sum of $2,500 forgotten in his cab by a woman, and how the happy woman rewarded him with $100.

Here’s how he narrated his story;
“Okay somtin has happen again right here,make I do uber hustle get some change oo,dis lady forgot dis envelope in my car,in it is $2460,she called some minutes after,I’m so glad I returned it and she’s so happy, she almost cried.

Aso Rock, Nigeria’s seat of power, has slashed the amount budgeted as expenses for feeding for the offices of Pres. Buhari and Vice-President Osinbajo in the 2018 budget, Thecable reports.

In the line item identified as “foodstuff and catering material supplies,” the president and vice-president got N149 million, which is N18 million lesser than the N167 million budgeted for the same purpose in 2017.

Buhari got N98.3 million while Osinbajo got N50.8 million. A copy of the recently passed budget also shows that Aso Rock got N145 million as allocation for “foodstuff and catering material supplies,” N22 million lesser than the N123 million it got in 2017 budget.

There is also a separate sum of N44 million budgeted for “refreshment and meal” for the nation’s numbers one and two citizens. The sum of N25.7 million goes to Buhari’s office while the sum of N18.3 million goes to Osinbajo’s office.

Checks by The Cable shows no provision was made for the item for the two offices in the 2017 budget. Aso Rock also gets a separate N137 million for the same purpose, N40 million higher than the N97.2 million it got in 2017.

While addressing some little kids at a notable school she revealed that there have been increase in the use of drugs amongst our youths.

"We are all aware of the daily increase of illegal use of drugs amongst our Teens and Youths. Drugs like Codeine, Tramadol, Morphine,Rephnol, Marijuana and the likes drugs that we take for granted,these drugs are not found on the street alone,they are majorly found in our homes.

The increase is alarming and heartbreaking, do we wait till every household has a victim of these deadly habits, and then we start begging the Government for rehabilitation we surely have bigger problems that we want the Government to do.

Instead of focusing on the old, A JUST SAY NO AWARENESS CAMPAIGN is to raise and increase awareness against drug abuse amongst teens and youths,to encourage them to understand the positive aspects of not doing drugs, encourage them to leave a drug free life as they are unaware of the long-term effects and damage caused by these drugs.

Let's use our voices,its loud ,we can do it,lets help our teens and Youth to JUST SAY NO to these dangerous habits that influences them into these life wrecking habit.

Reports making rounds on social media claims that twin brothers who were kidnapped and being searched by their parents, were reportedly murdered by unknown persons at Egbu Umuenem Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State, and dumped in their parents’ freezer.

The body of the twins brothers were found early this morning around 2am in the freezer kept in their parent’s sitting room. However social media users who have been baffled by the report, are asking how the twin brothers got into the freezer..

Ugochukwu Pius who shared the report on Facebook wrote;

My heart bleeds when I saw this, this morning.
Happening now at Egbu Unuenem Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State. This twins were murdered by unknown person. The kids were forced into the fridge while the parents are busy looking for the kids thinking that they were kidnapped. Quite unfortunate, the parents discover their cops early this morning around 2am in their sitting room, inside their own refrigerator.

Nigerian musician Kiss Daniel has changed his stage name to Kizz Daniel . The singer is yet to make an announcement but he has made changes to his official social accounts.

The singer departed from his former label G-Worldwide left amid uncertain legal circumstances that’s seen some of his recent songs removed from music stores. The reason for the removal is because his ex label G-Worldwide allegedly “own” the stage name “Kiss Daniel ” and as such the singer cannot trade under it after leaving the label in the cold.

Kiss Daniel initially started trading with “Kiss Daniel & FLY BOY INC” but it appears he has either grown tired of that or legal issues still stops him from using the former part of the combination.

Nigerian singer, Niniola, was robbed, on Wednesday night, at a popular fast food restaurant in Sandton, Sowetanlive reports.

Niniola who was in South Africa on holiday, was having a meal with two other friends when they were attacked by robbers at McDonald's restaurant on Grayston drive.

According to an eyewitness, Niniola's bag and cellphone were taken while two of her friends were robbed of jewellery and cash.

Sandton police spokesman, Captain Granville Meyer, confirmed that a case of robbery was opened by Niniola's friend on Wednesday night.”

Meyer said the complainant alleged that he came from Sandton City after shopping and went to McDonald's, where they were robbed by three men. "Jewellery and cash to an estimated value of R300000 was taken," Meyer added.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, representing Lagos Central Senatorial District urged the Federal Government to declare public holidays for collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), ahead of the December 2018 deadline.

Oluremi, in a statement, said that the PVCs were the tools to participating in the forthcoming 2019 general elections. She also urged residents in the state to ensure that they collect their PVCs. The call sequel to revelations by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that over seven million PVCs were yet to be collected nationwide, with one million and four hundred thousand from Lagos Stat

After the 2015 elections, about 12 million PVCs had remained in the electoral body’s custody. ”With previous elections, Nigerians developed voter apathy due to a distrust of the system. The 2015 elections taught us, however, that as individuals, our votes count. Thus, we must rise up as citizens to fulfill our civic responsibility and ensure accountability in governance,” she said.

Towards the 2019 elections, INEC had released modalities for ongoing continuous voter registration. The centres open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Tinubu pleaded that the period should be extended; and should include weekends to allow people who were unable to visit the centres during work hours to do so at weekends.

She said INEC should ensure that it had adequate resources to make the process quick and easy. She also called for increased voter education and sensitisation to achieve the desire results.
