Musa Yar’Adua, son of the late President Umar Yar’Adua, on Sunday, wrote a tribute to mark his father posthumous birthday.

The late President died in May 2010 after battling with an ailment.

Upon his passing, he was succeeded by his deputy, Goodluck Jonathan, according to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Celebrating his father in a tweet on Tuesday, the junior Yar’Adua penned a heartfelt message for his late dad.

Former Nigerian President, Umaru Musa Yar’adua would have been 69 years old August 16th 2020.

He wrote,

“Happy Birthday to my late Father who would have turned 69 today, we still celebrate the life you lived. O Allah, whomever of us You cause to live, let him live in Islam, and whomever of us You cause to die, let him die in faith.”

Tacha has revealed that the only person she was attracted to while in the BBNaija 2019 Pepper Dem house was Biggie.

The 23-year-old social media influencer popular for her activities on Instagram and BBNaija made this revelation during an interview with Dot2un and Kemi Smallz on a radio show, Midday Oasis.

When asked who she was attracted to during her 89-day stay in the house, Tacha said;

“I was attracted to Biggie. I was attracted to his voice and Biggie once turned me on. When Frodd won the Ultimate Veto Power and it was nomination night, he called Tacha and after calling other nominees, he called Tacha again and when I queried, he said, Tacha, no leave, no transfer and that turned me on. I was like wow, Biggie did that for me.”

Speaking on her stay in the house, Tacha said

“I’ve learned a lot in the house. Biggie is incredible and I feel it’s a platform everyone should experience if they could. My highlight was going into the house, every process was deliberate.

“I am learning, I am 23, it’s not a reason, but I am learning not to pay attention to things that don’t matter and just walk away. I can be hot-headed… My energy in the house surprises me now, it’s not a good thing, but I’m learning.”

On what she loves about Davido to have gotten the OBO crest in between her boobs, Tacha said the singer’s drive and strength are what she loves and admires.

“Yeah, I love Davido. David was the inspiration behind my having the OBO tattoo. You know David has this drive regardless of everything, he still has that drive and strength and it’s what I admire. I want to be Tacha that the world will know and still act like upcoming,”

she told Dot2un.

Tacha also revealed that she’s been listening to Wizkid’s ‘Joro’ as well as Rudeboy’s ‘Audio Money’. However, she says her favourite music act at the moment is Joeboy.

On the allegation that she snubbed Tuface during his visit to the house to celebrate his birthday, Tacha denied it saying she can’t even remember what happened but she’s certain she loves Tuface and wouldn’t snub him.

“I love Tuface, like in the house, we don’t get to see people and when people come in, it was a big deal. I think Biggie called and because I don’t want to be caught in an awkward position if he asks us to freeze, and I’m sure that was what happened. I haven’t seen the other videos but I was made to see the video because I didn’t snub Tuface, I love Tuface and I’m so sure I was the most excited seeing Tuface,”

she said.

On this day in 1960, Africa’s largest and most populous country gained independence from the United Kingdom. This momentous occasion is celebrated each year across all of Nigeria’s 36 states, and today in this Doodle.

The country’s green and white flag will be unfurled with great ceremony in the capital city of Abuja and those national colors—green representing the country’s wealth or natural beauty and white representing peace—will be on display in a plethora of parades featuring the armed forces, student bands, and various cultural groups. The official celebration also includes a tribute to Nigerian heroes and freedom fighters as well as the cutting of the national cake (with green and white frosting of course) at the presidential villa, known as Aso Rock.

Facebook is betting millions of people will take that chance, with the social network’s dating service — dubbed Facebook Dating — launching in the U.S. on Thursday.

Here’s how it works: Facebook users, after clicking on the menu button on their mobile app, will see the Dating tab and can opt-in to creating a profile. The profile will be separate from their standard Facebook account. Users will be able to integrate recent pictures from their Instagram accounts as well, if they want.

Facebook will then send dating recommendations based on interests users have shown on Facebook. While Facebook Dating looks like a hybrid of Tinder and Hinge, there is no swiping. Instead, the service will let users send a like and a message to any profile that catches their eye. And if you’ve been waiting years to see if your high school crush ever felt the same way about you, Facebook lets users pick up to nine Secret Crush users from their Facebook and Instagram friends; if your crush also picks you, Facebook will send a notification to both users letting them know they’ve matched.

Eventually, Facebook plans to integrate Stories into the service. Here’s a concept design Facebook shared on its blog on Thursday:

If you’re worried about creeps, Facebook said that it’s added several layers of protection, including the ability to block and report anyone. Facebook will not allow Dating users to send pictures or video, and when users go on a date, they can click a shield icon that will alert a friend where they’re headed; users will also be able to temporarily share their location if they’d like.

“Finding a romantic partner is deeply personal, which is why we built Dating to be safe, inclusive and opt-in,” Nathan Sharp, product manager of Facebook Dating, said in a blog post. “Safety, security and privacy are at the forefront of this product.”

The dating service is free and ad-free. After launching in several countries in South America and Asia, the U.S. became the 20th country to get the service; Sharp said Facebook plans to launch Dating in Europe early next year.

The stock price of Match Group, the parent company of Tinder and several other dating sites, dropped nearly 6% in early morning trading on Thursday.
