Dividend warrants of first bank for year end 2011 are being returned unpaid under the guise that the dividends do not have control numbers. Dividend warrants are like bank cheques and do not get returned except it is a cloned cheque or the principal has liquidity problem. First bank has been in the news for the wrong reasons of recent since the news broke that N800million was spent on the just concluded olympic games and the ban on disbursement of approved facilities, all pointing to the fact that the bank has serious liquidity issues. With the non payment of dividend warrants now, it wont be out of place to conclude that the foremost bank has indeed beaten more than it can chew. The bank should advise shareholders on what to do on the issue of dividends that cannot be cashed

i really do understand how you feel and you are not alone. i have a lot of people in your bank too that have been on d same grade for a while and doing their best but promotion has not come.you need to encourage yourself, you are lucky you still have a job

If you do not have a choice for now i suggest you try and put it behind you and continue doing ur best, hoping u will be lucky next year. but its important you try and get alternative sources of income and concerntrate a bit on your family coz even if you are given promotion next yr do you know for how long you will have to wait for the next one?

i know you can also write a protest letter or somethg like that. If you want to explore that avenue you need to put enough evidence that you had put in your best and got appraised well during the year under review.

Attimes some promotions are considered after the protest letter is written but they are not made public so you might not know. Then you need to be sure that your supervisor actually reccommended you because most times superiors dont reccommend you and only tell you your name was removed by Human capital.

which dept are u in banking? any relationship with haulaging?
have u handled a pool of drivers b4?
what do u know about mechanics and their tricks?
what does the present manager working with ur father in law feel about him and the job in general?
in what capacity are u going in? mgr/mgt/part owner?
will u feel good feeding ur mum from money made from ur in laws biz?
can u explore the possibility of taking ur annual leave and start with ur in laws during ur vacation so that b4 the end of a month you will know if you want to resign from banking or not

Submission wont be an issue when the couple have a good and enviable relationship. The guy will love and respect the wife while the wife wont have an option than to submit to him. Submission DOES NOT mean the lady is clueless, they both have ideas but when they fail to agree, the guy MUST be the man of the house. Remember that the guy has always put his family's interest ahead of any other interest and of course he loves his wife n respects her, so he will always take d best decision.
