Yes it's possible to do that in US. But try and do it before both programs start. And I think you also have to meet the DSO in your initial school. Google for more info

A friend of mine needs an urgent advice. Is it possible to use a school to get visa and go to another one on getting to US? both schools have different resumption dates and they're also in different states.

Just know how to defend your funds and what you hope to do with the degree and pray. You will be fine.

I'm sponsoring myself and I have the funds but is it better to go for the other schools that didn't give me Scholarship but the school fee and all I'm supposed to show on the statement is about 50k+

80k$ is quite high. Except you have the fee to pay, it will be crazy to work and pay for than.

I believe how/who you intend to pay for it will be the main thing you should know how to defend and it should be believable. Because the VOs will concentrate on you if they see $80k (except it’s an Ivy League school, I read your chances are higher)

I need an advice ASAP, I just started reading this thread today and I guess I would have taken a different decision if I saw it earlier.

Here's my admission story, I got admitted into three universities out of which only one gave me a fellowship award of 10k$. I didn't realise the amount I was going to pay for the entire program and the living expenses I'm supposed to show on my statement is about 80k$+ excluding the fellowship award until I paid my acceptance fee of $500. At this point, there is no going back on this school. I paid my savis fee and I've also gotten a date for my visa interview.

So, here's my challenge, I have a proof of fund of 80k$+ but I'm scared they might disapprove because the money is too much.

Because they said take the test under strict exam conditions. So normally for all this Aptitude test, calculators are not allowed.
