The interest rate of Piggyvest is just too low these days with 600k profit on #10m for 6 months. It's not matching with inflation at all although it has proven to be a safe asset.

It will even be better to buy and fence a land and wait for three years for better profit. Or split the #10m, keep some in Piggyvest and use the other to start a small trade/flip business that requires no fixed costs but you need to know what you're doing.

They would rather bail out before their businesses are shuttered or shame comes upon them.

UK is not upgraded Nigeria, it is light years ahead. If you are gifted enough to thrive in Nigeria's harsh environment, you would get better returns for your creativity and talents in developed countries. That's an indisputable fact.

But as you should know, opportunity and talent is not enough anywhere, you need good timing/luck too.

This move is too risky in my opinion. People still travel to Lagos with just one sack and slippers but its not an experience you would wish on your enemy especially if you currently have a roof over your head and relatives that can spot you some cash you whenever you are in dire need.

I've heard stories of people who roll in to lagos homeless and hustle on the streets and in the markets until they find their feet but this takes a lot of perseverance. With your well spoken english, I hope you can adjust to that life.

My advice would be for you to use what you have wherever you are. Use the internet, drop ship deals in your state, there's always a big market in every state. When you have some savings that can sustain your accomodation and feeding for a few months, you can then emabrk on your lagos journey.

That was one of the qualities I used to impress when I was in the game. Having a great experience on a small budget because I'm creative with it. Makes them want to come again.

As for your experience, you can try again, this time on your terms: place and time. Let her know you like her and would want something serious with her. If she's game, you would observe and if not, cut all emotions and communication.
