It's the company and design philosophy that guides my choices. My brand loyalty started with the Oneplus 7 pro (innovation at a budget price, minimalist Android and thriving community). A phone I still have till today. When they started messing up with the 8 after the sell off, I switched to the Pixel (pure android, minimalist and not bogus) and since then I've used the 3, 3xl, 6a and now the 8. |
Some Nigerians get easy money opportunities like this but still decide to mess things up with their greed. Just do what she says and your portfolio will expand to oversee other apartments. It's a chill way to make money compared to toiling. |
Working for the Chinese in Nigeria is tough enough, working for them in their own land as a student looking to hustle, I don't even want to imagine. |
That interior is to kill for. Who the hell did that, a cobbler? |
There was a fateful morning, I got up early from Kontagora driving to Abuja. As I exited the town, I saw hordes of bike men in black (local vigilantes) riding into town for a meeting. I learned they were embarking on a rescue mission for a nearby village where bandits kidnapped the night before. They know the directions the bandits headed and we're going after them. When I returned to the town later, I learned the mission was a disaster. The bandits spotted them from far away and laid an ambush. It was a massacre. About 40 vigilante men with only a handful of shotguns against many bandits brandishing automatic AK-47 rifles. Different lives I know in Rijau have been lost to these bandits but you say they should defend themselves. With what? You are simply shifting the buck. If you do not arm and train the JTF, it would be another massacre in the making. |
Even gold diggers have to dig but this Op Lol. ![]() |
Nonexisting1:It's you who may learn if you continue following nairaland ideologies. Those who have favourable situations rarely complain online. I would assume you know that too. |
Fiscus105:Clear as day. She only came to give him some because she had a special request. When did any long chase relationship become successful if not one sided. |
Your symptoms remind me of the adverts of these tradomedicines. You need proper check up. Stop going down with random girls, una no go hear. Those of us who stuck to one sensible girl enjoy peace of mind. |
Why do other body parts not trigger the same reaction in the brain except certain parts and postures? It's not training, it's instinct. Same instinct that makes a lion see flesh as delicious and not grass. If you like, picture boobs as a mass of spongy, yellow, messy fat tissue. It will still trigger the same response. |
realpoacher:You are not alone. |
DMCY:Nigeria has a lot of very poor people. You have to sell cheap with low margins. The only hope of making sensible profits is from very high volumes. That business model is not synonymous with western corporations. Only Chinese factories. |
Adblg0610:The centralized systems have been abused and what's the point of writing two exams. The SSCE is enough. Here's what will likely happen The schools will make their money conducting their own exams and the traffic will always be high. Schools with watered down qualities can absorb as many as they like while those with credibility will get the best. Of course, nepotism will be the order of the day but hasn't it always been? The good news however is more students will ne absorbed into the system rather than being cut off due to the problems of the joint exams board. |
brutechng:Please speak the full truth. The extra support is for only one year and it's a paid subscription. After that, you're done and toast with security updates. |

Bro, you're doing too much. Try the family prayer route. If both of you can agree to have a superior power and leader in your home that you both obey and follow HIS instructions, you can have some direction. Other than that, manage your situation as you see fit and as the challenges come because every union is unique. No one can advice you adequately. You appear to be doing that already so continue. And if you feel, you're getting burnt out, pull back on your efforts. Remember, you are your priority. Not the wife, not the kids. They would all leave you in your house at your old age |

331 topics. He was a true nairalander. Death doesn't hurt those who die, its those who are left behind that grapple with the pain. May the family be comforted and the gap he leaves behind be filled with his good memories. |
williams2326:Nigerians are so docile. You think he withdrew the taxes? You must be dreaming. So just because of this writeup, you say it's alright, it's a good one. Just wait until they bring the real bird out of their pockets. They are still testing the microphone. Tax here, tax there for what exactly? |
EvilMerodack:This isn't about Tinubu, it's about the flawed process. |
A suspect nominating his judge and jury. Yet you want a fair and objective trial. |
This is far from diamonds. The whitish appearance might indicate it is among one of the soft metals on the S-block of the periodic table. Take it to the lab or gold market to identify it. Return home and do your research on the price before going out to sell once again. It may bring some fortune or it may likely pay just your tfare and some change. |
I agree 100%. My mantra is you can excel in any career, you just have to be very good at it. Like they pick 30 people at random and you best them or are in the top 5%. To do this, you don't only need to know the skill, you need to master it. I've tried slamming my head on Graphic design, UI/UX, coding, Powerapps and discovered the best I can do is to know these skills but to master it to the extent that I can invent new methods on my own is a long stretch. My thought process simply doesn't follow that way of logic. I jejely left them and focused on my field where I've built years of experience and I find success in it now. I don't go to work with palpitations. I can tackle any situation confidently and develop my own methods that gives me more efficiency and a proficiency edge. My extensive profile has also enabled me ask for higher pay. Better than jumping between different fields and boasting of only few years experience despite being decades in the labor market. Besides, starting out on a skill just for money won't take you anywhere. You can make some money but real money comes much much later and if you're after money, you would give up a long time before then. |
Ti imagine I used to frequently visit this area back in 2017. Tbh, it's remote from central ilorin and canne quite scanty. No wonder the bandits have found it as a suitable location to set base. |
TheBizGenius:Going by the definition of isolation that you are presuming, attacks in Abuja are not isolated. We are witnessing an increasing trend of coordinated attacks which are similar in Modi's operandi spread across the city from house break-ins to car robberies. The evidence is so mich on the news not too tall of many unreported incidents borne by residents. You speak from wherever you are that the city is safe and I wonder how that is different from the armchair beer parlour gist you referenced. Let's learn to call a cat a cat and if you don't recognize the animal, say you don't. No one will castigate you for honest ignorance.

TheBizGenius:How can isolated terror attacks in certain states make Nigeria as a country get on the global terror list? Ask yourself that question and reassess what you typed.

Abuja is safe but as an estate we have to pay npf monthly dues just so they can respond to midnight armed robbery attacks which funny enough has been on the rise this year. Everyone is living in fear. These robbers count up to 20 and pick a compound to attack, usually successful before police shows. How can 20 -30 miscreants organise themselves in the night by 2am to move and attack an area and no security will notice anything in a safe city? People are being attacked "in their homes" , kidnapped and killed but you say the city is safe. |
CoronaVirusPro:This is the mentality that is leading recent generations to chaos. People are doing things out of the ordinary but you say, leave them with their mind. The reality is they are not leaving you, they are actually in your face everyday in subliminal ways. Just as you have seen them on Nairaland, you will see them on every other site, in soap operas and on the streets. Skit makers now use this as a core hinge of their jokes. Its a simple process. Expose people to it so much we begin to see it as usual. Same way a musician ensures radio stations and DJs play their song on repeat until people even memorise the song even though they don't like it. Of course, its their life but this is illegal in Nigeria. If this topic should be on nairaland or instablog, it should be accompanied with deterrent words like "arrested, jailed" according to the consititution and not "celebrated". Nairaland is not a censored site and even kids read stuff here but you open "trending" and see all sorts of salty topics. The only page they censor is the frontpage. We've been sitting of a keg of gunpower in Nigeria since sef so wetin I know. Edit: Unbelievable. They even moved this topic to the front page as well. |
