Hard to score with these many players in the box |
Gotocourt:Softly softly abeg. |
Mwhite:I understand better. Opting out is deciding to cater more for your personal life which is valid. I have a close couple friend with the similar situation. Wife was richer than the husband so husband quit his job and joined the wife in another city. Ever since, the husband was unable to secure a good job. I guess his age vs years of experience didn't help either. The wife covered most of the expenses from rent to food. She even got a car for his to run Uber but the income was inconsistent. She grew resentful of him and complained about all his shortcomings. It's either he's working too late, getting calls from strange girls he picked up during rides or that he's playing tennis in the estate when he was supposed to find something doing with his life. They had a child between them and about 6 years later, they both separated. He left the house. 5 years going, they are still unmarried. I don't know about the lady but the husband is my close friend and he hasn't found his feet till today. Just be 100% certain as there's no going back at that point. |
I have some questions. Is he outright broke or he has money but does not send to the family? Is he working for a low pay or he's just lazy to get a job? Just so you know, a number of married young men cheat in the early years of their marriage especially when the wife gets pregnant for the first time but that doesn't define who they are long term. If you can proceed with divorce with no guilt in your heart based on what you know and the fact that you've been living apart for over a year, I feel you can start the process...but just as someone mentioned, divorce is not all you see at the surface. Children raised without a father go through tough times. If you intend to remarry, it can be complicated to find another eligible single young man willing to start a family with you. I'm not saying it's impossible but it would be difficult as his family may kick against it. What you have left are either married men or other divorcees. Be ready to raise another man's kids as your own. Staying single also comes with loneliness. This is why a lot of people take their time before making that final decision to divorce. It's better you write your exams before your start the divorce proceedings because from your story, he will definitely push back at you and that would strain you mentally. Divorce also takes around 2 years to be completed so go figure. Wishing you the best in your next decisions. |
Each car in that convoy costs nothing less than 35m. Each. Multiply that by about 30 cars. Multiply 30 by the amount they would be spending on fuel monthly just to galivant and campaign when even upper middle class a re complaining of fuel costs and dumping their cars for public transportation. And this money belongs to all Nigerians bit these greedy politicians corner it, spend it on frivolities and flaunt it in our faces. |
Is this a tenured civil service career or a one time political position? What entitles these robbers to a pension of not greed and a docile populace. Our mumu never do for this country? |
When is Turji going to be neutralised? Thats the main news we want to hear. |
They left you to go pick batteries and you waited for them even though you were suspicious. Did you update your policeman friend and get advice on next steps to take? At least, you can carry another set of customers back to Ibadan for near the same cost and break even. His story is not complete, maybe they promised him bigger pay for delivering them back to Ibadan before things turned awry. Mr transporter should explain himself in the court. |
Rescued. I guess the abductors escaped with bullet wounds and we should report similar appearances in hospitals to the authorities. Jokers. |
Election propaganda and shenanigans |
Nigerian police. They already arrested the hotel owner and cleaner and lock them in detention until they pay bail. ![]() In better places, they invite them for questioning and tell them they're free to go except they have strong probable cause to detain them beyond 24hrs. |
Idowuuu:Good. Stay focused. The sufferings of the present times cannot be compared to the glory that will be revealed in you. You are also there to gain from her, the only thing you can give her back is joy from being happy having you around. Try your best to align with her expectations. If she trains you, excel. If she favours you, show gratitude, if she puts you in charge of her business, make sure it's generating income for her. She would be happy to repay the favour. When you grow and become strong enough to be independent, you can leave and live your life as you please. It's others that would be trying to please you at that stage so you can be happy to help them. |
Ezeama400:You think child support is cheap? |
Dtruthspeaker:I guess you're ready to cater for him or deem it preferable for him to live a worse life on the streets.. |

Idowuuu:Look, I've lived with a rich aunt before. I had a fully rented flat in another city, had a car and other conveniences but I lost my job at that time and things got pretty tough. I had to move to her place in Abuja back then as I figured I could get better opportunities there. I didn't get good treatment from who I thought would be family. I got moved to the gateman's room with a toilet outside the room in a compound with over 15 dogs that didn't recognise me. I couldn't pee in the night if I was pressed. I leave the house in the morning hungry, fend for myself in town and rush home in the evening before they release the dogs. Sometimes I slept on an empty stomach at night. She worked in a big corporation and had businesses bit never for one day did she say "bring Cv". Instead, every day felt like a new hell. She even asked me to wake up early in the morning, pack the dog feaces and water all the flowers before I go to work. Me wey never even sleep complete the night before. I come home to meet big parties in the house and I would be summoned to clean up before sleeping. Did I complain? Absolutely not. I got the first job, lost it after a few weeks, got a second job and then got a third an better job out of state and that's how I moved. If I was impatient, I perhaps won't be in the position I am today. Think about that |
Rrchrd:A bird in hand is better than 5 promised birds in the bush. If he cannot pay you 50k or more, please go for the receptionist job of 50k. |
You don't know your place at all.. Someone housed you, enrolled you in school, feeds you but you're mad because she's doesn't respect you? You're even claiming you would slap her in return..you left the house so your parent would be blaming her for chasing you from home. Call your mum and tell her you left on your own. Then go and face that struggling life you desire on your own and see if you won't come running back after 2 months. |
Rrchrd:Please and please, never ever depend on oral promises. He's only out to use you and keep you working because you're expectant. It's an old formula adn you would end up disappointed. Go for the receptionist with a better salary. You would also have some time to sit until fuel attendant that you'd stand all day for less money. |
sterlingD:It's half truths. He's mentioned intangible expenses because he doesn't want them to seize his assets but certainly they will find and confiscate everything. |
What a stupd fellow. He literally took the Nigerian corruption formula with him and implemened it down to the letter. In US for that matter and on city projects. It was only a matter of time before someone opened the books. It's bad eggs like this that make life difficult for honest Nigerians abroad looking to climb up the ladder. Tell me how these people would look at subsequent Nigerians who apply for jobs like this. People who don't know the history of how the rotten Nigerians before them have messed everything up and soiled our reputation. Let him rot in jail. Round up his sister and wife too, they are accessories to the fact and equally guilty in running this massive scam. |
Same president looking for money is reducing levy? ![]() I laugh |
ibinaboonline:Maybe ponds. I also think dousing the glue in petrol will thin it out. This could have helped the bird as well |
#100,000,000 A whole Hundred million naira to just 2000 people and of course it's useless to them because 50k can't even see them through the month. See what your husband has turned the naira to? If the 100m is used to upgrade a small clinic in that area that provides free treatment for typhoid, malaria and accident victims only. Over 100k people would live longer and thank you for longer but as you all think in the same direction, I congratulate you all on your empty Belle's by next month. |
No employee protection rules in place but that's the streets for you. He's better off with a promised income by month end than staying home doing nothing. No job is easy, he has to adapt. That's what God have is brains for. Learn the ropes and tweak things so you fit in. After one or two months, he'd adapt except the manager is also changing form equally and rapidly like a chameleon. Let him save and job hunt after a while, even if it's as a facility manager in another hotel with better working conditions. In better countries, govt unions run mandatory confidential interviews with employees under their purview and punish companies that fall short of standard. It's the law. |
SecuritybriefNg:You're the one spreading unverified and insinuated claims right now for your economic gains. Let him chill in peace. |
There is a lag between the drop in price of crude oil to the effects in the price of gasoline but zero latency in the hike of petrol prices when the strait is barely closed. Greedy people |
Well-done oh. How many people receive packages they're not expecting and with no sender's address. What if it was a letter bomb? |
LeoThaGreat:False, he's not under any power line or flood path. He's only penalised because he didn't do the proper documentation before building. He would have to settle them but that can be quite a sum. A little sum in comparison to his house capital. You guys should try to read a post in full sometimes |
