You guys requesting to pay up the discount you were given are the real MVPs. Someone got 10k discount under Jonathan when dollar was N160 to 1 Dollar. Now, same person will pay the 10k discount under Buhari when Dollar is N360Nobi small thing ooh.
For us, we got discount at Houston North West, because of the high rate of denials based on discount received, we didn't bother going to renew our USA visa when my wife got pregnant again. We Jejely went to apply for Canadian visa, gave birth to out baby in Canada in ending of last year, paid ALL our bills and we are back to Nigeria.
Our accounting books where Houston North West discount appeared have long been closed and we have moved on. How do you give me discount cos I am a cash paying patient, then because Trump does not like my skin colour, I will go and pay a discount I LEGALLY received because of US Visa? Never ooh. There are too many countries to travel to that I can't be bothered with US Visa.
Una well done sha

I like you. That paying back discount thing no make sense. Too many plenty countries to go to o. That thousands of dollars you want to dash america in the form of paying back discount, take it and deposit it in a trust fund for that american child of yours for his college education in the US.

I used the B1/B2 Visa for the birth of both kids, i declared my intention for childbirth before I had both, never over stayed my visa. I didn't violate the 1st visa. I think it was because of the discount i was denied.

I also think the refusal might be because of the discount and maybe they felt you were trying to have another baby. I however doubt it might have anything to do with the UK visa refusal. Uk visa is straight forward. If you have all your documents complete and you satisfy the officer your reasons for travelling are geniune, your visa will be granted. Review the reasons UK gave you as the basis for refusal, work on those reasons and try again. As long as your past US visa was not misused, no other country can deny you a Visa solely because of a past visa refusal from another country. Now that you have been able to pay back your discount, why not try and reapply for the US visa. Or better still, wait and let the dust settle in the american embassy, try other countries for vacation. Schengen countries, read back the UK visa refusal note that was given to you and see how you can adjust with the reasons given. You see, i like the UK visa application process, they will tell you exactly yhe reason why you are being denied.

How many women have used it? How old is this supplement in the market? @Mhiznaphysat beware. It's a marketing strategy.

I don't know the person with this monikar @fertilady, but i distribute fertilady supplements and yes it works. A simple google search would answer this questions . Fertilady is a product from Exeltis pharmas. I use to be an active member of this thread far back as 2016-2017. My moniker then was aye88.
I market this product and just felt i should introduce it to mamas here because of what it does expecially since when i was here, alot of people use to ask for where to get fertilaid drug then.

If some posts are a violation of NLs posting guidelines then report those posts and the mods will do the needful to either ban or warn the poster.

But telling people not to comment or come on this thread if they’re not pregnant or seeking to have a baby in the US is an opinion that won’t fly. There’s no rule on NL restricting where people can post their opinions, they only ask people to be respectful and follow the posting rules. So far, a lot of people have been respectful with their comments. Just because it’s not what you wanna hear doesn’t mean people are gonna stop talking about it or you can stop them from talking about it.

I made the comment in bold. When it became obvious that rather than share info on the topic of this thread, people were busy arguing up and down about the legitimacy or otherwise of who Nigerians are or arent and whether trump did this or that. That is not the purpose of this thread. Pls open another thread for that, we will come and read and even contribute. Right now, lets focus on the topic of this thread, that is if theres still anything to discuss about it.

Referring to the comment in bold.... NL rule 1 talks about not posting off topic. The topic of the thread is birthing in the US costs and procedures. If truly the thread is no longer relevant, legit or kosher it can/should be closed. Interested folks can open a Naija Bashing Thread and make their comments there on the eternal corruption of the country and decadence of its people...I'm sure it would do very well. But anything other than the discussion of the topic here is a violation of NL rule 1 (as I understand it). Which I am right now guilty of.... apologies! smiley

Trump Administration Adds Six Countries to Travel Ban
President Trump added Africa’s biggest country, Nigeria, as well as Myanmar, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Sudan and Tanzania, to his restricted travel list.

By Zolan Kanno-Youngs
Jan. 31, 2020 Updated 9:36 p.m. ET
The New York Times

WASHINGTON — President Trump on Friday added six countries to his list of nations facing stringent travel restrictions, a move that will virtually block immigration from Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria, and from Myanmar, where the Muslim minority is fleeing genocide.

The proclamation will take effect on February 22. Immigrants who obtain visas before then will still be able to travel to the United States, officials said. Nonimmigrant visas, including those for students and certain temporary workers, as well as visas reserved for potential employees with specialized skills, will not be affected by the ban.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/31/us/politics/trump-travel-ban.html?emc=edit_na_20200131&ref=headline&nl=breaking-news&campaign_id=60&instance_id=0&segment_id=20884&user_id=21020cbc26c2cf3e431ae24d4cada0a8&regi_id=94089832

I don't understand this ban. What about American citizen parents who wants to file for their kids. Or spouses who wants to file for each other? Are they included in this?

Pls anyone who has the means to help me with a job , i will really appreciate it. I am a lawyer, was called to bar in 2012. Ever since i got married and starting having kids, all the law firms job interviews i attend keep asking me of what my child bearing plans are and if i will still have more kids. One specifically told me the complains of married women with kids is too much. Today, they complain of their children sick, tomorrow another complain.
Pls anyone who can help me to get a job. I am tired of staying at home. I want to get back to the corporate world. I have devoted enough time for family and kids and its time to pursue my career. If anyone had tild me things will be this difficult getting a good job , i would have laughed. Sometimes when you don't get what you pursue, it begins to affect your self esteem.

I can see your whole aim in this forum is to scare people. The policy document is clear. You don't need to twist it to suit your agenda. What I stated earlier is absolutely correct. What is 'impermissible' is 'travel to the US with primary purpose of obtaining US citizenship for a child by giving birth in the US'

It is very permissible to 'travel for the primary purpose of obtaining medical treatment for reasons related to childbirth for maternal and infant health'

The rest of your statement is just regurgitating exactly what I stated earlier in my submission. I have taken time to read the policy document and I do not know what you gain by scaremongering.

The summary of the policy is that giving birth is no longer classified under pleasure. You can no longer just feel like coming to the USA to give birth and obtain citizenship for your child. It is now tied under medical treatment. If you are pregnant, be prepared to prove you need special medicare not accessible in Nigeria or any country close to Nigeria and not that you want to come and have baby to obtain US citizenship for the child.

Relax. You both are saying the same thing. Or rather, you are saying exactly what he is saying with some little twist.

Even after paying in full. This is serious.

Well this answers the question someone asked if paying in full helps.

Whaooo. Even after paying in full. Are you currently pregnant? Could it be they believe you are pregnant again and want to use the visa for childbirth? Could that be the reason for the denial?
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by lami88: 8:51am On Jan 24, 2020
Stephenmoka4:
There are other visa category that last at least a year, however the denial rate is the problem. You may apply for visit visa with your partner (six months is the visa duration and must be without child inside you) if you are granted the visa, you can extend it to six months(extension might be a little bit rough as you are to show reason for extension, you should be pregnant by this time) which total one year. However this would be a very expensive method as the living cost for a year in US is relatively high.

Haha. Why would anyone go and sit down in thw US for one year? When you are not working there?.
You people should not complicate this things jare and cause more problems for others. Everyone will start applying for extension now till they decide to cancel it even for those with genuine reasons. For everything that has a beginning , there is an end. Lets face the reality of the situation on ground.
Try other countries that welcome birth tourism. Someone here mentioned chile. Chile citizens have access to enter 170 countries visa free. ( I'm quoting what was said here ni o)

In other words, if you come into US and have a baby you just wasted money so long as the status of the mum or Dad is Nigerian and not already American, then NO citizenship by birth is conferred.
It's not just about lying to get the Visa, even if you born the pikin finish, the status of the parents will nullify the whole birth.
Hmm.

Haba, where are you people getting all thia interpretations from. From thw same document i read? Is this the literal , mischief or golden rule of interpretation you guys are using ? .
Please readers, any child born on US soil rrgardless of the immigration status of the birth parents is a citizen. That is what the US consititution says. The constitution is supreme and its provisions overrides all innuendos. Getting the visa is what is going to be near impossible now. In simple language, trump has put a ban on issuance of visa for the sole purpose of wanting to give birth in the US. And if you are pregnant and intends to travel to the US for other purposes asides childbirth, you will have to prove in the strictest terms what business you are going there for.

ALERT
Beginning January 24, 2020, the State Department will no longer issue temporary visitor (B-1/B-2) visas to aliens seeking to enter the United States for “birth tourism” – the practice of traveling to the United States to secure automatic and permanent American citizenship for their children by giving birth on American soil. This rule change is necessary to enhance public safety, national security, and the integrity of our immigration system. The birth tourism industry threatens to overburden valuable hospital resources and is rife with criminal activity, as reflected in Federal prosecutions. Closing this glaring immigration loophole will combat these endemic abuses and ultimately protect the United States from the national security risks created by this practice. It will also defend American taxpayers from having their hard-earned dollars siphoned away to finance the direct and downstream costs associated with birth tourism. The integrity of American citizenship must be protected.

The end of an era. But i trust Nigerians to find a way. Maybe couples will start going to the US now, copulate there, get pregnant there and kuku stay and deliver the baby there. smiley grin

Trump Administration Plans to Expand Travel Restrictions for Seven Countries

DH: Yes
VO: Where?
DH: Houston
VO: Was he born in the US? (Points at my toddler)
DH: Yes
VO: Do you plan on having another baby in the US
DH: Yes, in the future.
VO: Are you pregnant right now?
Me: Nods
Types for a while
VO: What do you do?
Me: Bleep
VO: And you?
DH: Bleep
VO: When are you travelling?
DH: In April
VO: For how long?
DH: 2 weeks (dh has an academic trip so we will go together and he will be back after 2 weeks while I stay back)
VO: Where is your other child?
DH: he's in boarding school, we didn't want to disrupt his schooling
VO: will he be making this trip too?
DH: Yes, the whole family
VO: Do you have any relatives in the US?
Dh: no we don't
VO: How much did you spend for the last birth?
Me: A total of about 7,100 (doc, epidural, hospital, tests, paediatrician)
VO: Where was this?
Me: Atlanta
Types for a while
VO: I'll be granting you your visas, please go ahead and pay your reciprocity fee.

Very short and straightforward. I've been so excited! Thanking God for favour.

Now I can ask. Please I need accommodation in Atlanta, any ideas?

Big congratulations to you. A ray of hope finally
