Coolcash1: Yes, 84% but over 70% came from the power business and 30% from the downstream business which shares is what is floated on the stock market... In my opinion, the result is a poor one and earnings from the downstream operations is beginning to wane. Majority of its revenue came from the power business but unfortunately this is practically for Femi....
It will be interesting to see how the market reacts to it tomorrow... U re correct sir , let see how market will react morrow ..either dumping for some pple to mop @ lower prices or whatever the mkt says |

MOM1: I agree with you about one doing his/her homework, but the exchange rate is unpredictable. That was why I said, if anitank wishes to deposit the fund back into the dorm account, he may not get the same value. As a businessman or investor, I believe every kobo matter to us that's why we are all trooping in on TB right now. https://abokifx.com/news/cbn-sells-tbs-above-inflation-to-attract-fx-flows-punchU re correct sir that is one of the places right now , I don't think i will ever see that rate in my area |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by lancee(m): 2:07pm On Jul 24, 2017 |
MOM1: Well think about it this way. Do you wish to take out the funds in your dorm for TB purpose only or you just want the profit on your principal? I think if you decide to save your principal back to your dorm. You could be running at a loss due to the changes in exchange rate.
Just my thought.. If u re in t bills for a longtime you will definitely make up any loss [If there is any] I think the exchange rate is pretty stable for now ..Also it could go either way what if the exchange rate goes down by dec to 320 or 300 Had a domi account , when $ was 490 i didn't change i left it there now rate is 364 and the account not yielding no interest .If had changed it that time and put it on Tbills , that could have been a double profit for me Best thing is to do your home work very well |

Kentrasso: Hi all. I have two questions. First, when is the next auction? Secondly, I already have one t-bill since last year for 364 days (due this December). Can I buy another one for 91 days while that other one is ongoing? Yes you can , have up to 7 and all in one bank ..think u can do as many as u want |

emmanuelewumi: The only risk is when one invests solely for capital appreciation, I used some of my Treasury Bill as collateral and the collateral is about 150% of the loan even though they asked for 120%.
It also advisable for any leveraged investor to have a minimum of 4 streams of income.
I have Treasury Bills with staggered maturity periods ie February, May, August and November. The interests from the TB are reinvested in the stock market. Dividends from the stock market are added to the matured TB for rollover for another 364 days. Good biz ideas... same page |
