I had a similar experience sometime ago. I picked this couple from ikotun to sheraton hotel,ikeja on a sunday. They sat at the back seat. The next rider i picked was the one who saw the phone they forgot on the back seat and gave it to me. The owners of the phone called me after like 30 mimutes that they left their phone in my car and luckly for them i was around kudirat abiola way. I told them if i have to bring the phone back they will pay me for the trip, i checked on bolt app and took a screenshot of the price and sent it to them. They agreed on the price. I drove down to sheraton they paid me my money and i handed them their phone. I got another trip from the same sheraton hotel and continued my work......

I closed and drove home after dropping the guy. This lady called me and said she forgot her nokia phone in the car. Apparently she sat in front and I didn't see any phone.

So I told her that I'll check and if I didn't see it, I'll go back to the lounge and meet the guy. I drove straight to the lounge and met the guy with his friends. I pleaded with him but he told me he didn't see any phone. He showed the 2 iPhone he uses. I begged him so much but he said; sir, honestly I didn't see any phone. Then I called the lady again and she rejected my call.

I sent her a message that I'm trying to help her but she's rejecting my calls. She called not quite long to threaten me that she will find me and lock me up, and she will make sure I'm severely dealt with. She also said she will go to bolt office and report me that I'm a thieve!

Omo I just taya for all these wahala! Wetin be all these temptation for God's sake?

Pls i need your help. we applied for tourist visa for my wife and 2 kids to go visit my sister in law and her family in Canada. we submitted all the necessary documents including our proof of funds which came was about 20 million naira. 15 million naira was in wife's account while 5 million naira was in my account that i provided. the total money was around 18000 CAD at the time we applied. we just got a response last week that they are refusing us the visa because we do not have enough funds to sustain our travel and stay in canada for a week. we did the process through an agent.. Now my question is, how soon can we reapply. Is there any other means of getting my wife and kids into canada aside the tourist visa route. I cant travel with them for now because of my work. Booking Fees; 3 - 5% goes to LASG
Bolt deducts 25% from your earnings.
So technically u can say Bolt commission is 25%

Funny people don't announce good news. Bolt Increased price and nobody said anything.
Apparently, the saying that "bad news is good news and good news is no news" is still valid till tomorrow.

By my own calculations, bolt commision is about 20.22 percent...... my driver score as at yesterday was 76 percent while my confirmation rate is 82 percent and i got the 5600 bolt bonus yesterday. I stopped using bolt for a while and was using only indrive and RIDA. only decided to give bolt a shot yesterday. i used bolt, Indrive and RIDA to work yesterday.

it’s a simple arithmetic. Make ur balance be zero. Do one trip and check how much u owe bolt. My driver have done it over and over. Don’t worry I’ll ask him to send a screen shot. Bolt commission is 27 percent. It’s so simple that everyone here can confirm by them self. When he went to bolt office. They told him it’s 25 percent that the 2 percent is taken from d rider to the driver. That the 2 percent is for govt. so if rider give u 5k. Know that bolt has 25% and Govt has 2% from that 5k.

This is a good question, I will share from personal view as well as what my fellow e-hailers are doing.

1) I utilize a 4 plug engine car for this business to save cost but if yours is 6 plugs you are not at a disadvantage though.

2) Make sure your engine or other fuel associated parts are in good conditions too, cos some fuel mismanagement may be due to this fact too.

3) Your choice or ride pick matters too , it's not a must to go pick a rider whose destination away from you is 22 minutes yet his real travel time to where such rider book is 15 minutes. I do ensure to add both time it will take to reach rider and their final destination to know if it worths such price before picking. I won't be able to do this if I'm doing higher purchase or rental, desperation makes some people pick even the worst or weirdest trip.

4) Conserving fuel while alone, you don't want to consume your fuel without a trip. Sometimes you can pack at an eatery, chill there buy a soft drink or something that can afford you relaxing in such place till you get a trip. Don't sit in the car with full AC on. Know that you are also consuming the fuel.

5) Peak temperature periods, these hours from 9am - 5pm see most cars being hot internally due to rise in ambient temperature around 27-34 deg in must part. Note that traffic is also with those hours sometimes, I could decide to do few trips within these said periods but diligently hit the road from 6pm-9pm as I will need less AC or sometimes I crave the indulgence of my passenger that I won't be able to on the AC throughout except we hit a traffic cos of high cost of fuel.
