Please go and study Hamas manifesto. They are not interested in two-state solution. Israel agreed to this solution in the past. Hamas do not represent the will of average Palestinian who are suffering greatly from Israeli occupation. Hamas are bent on Israel annihilation. Hamas needs to come out and condemn the guys in their side who killed civilians and bring them to justice (people say this happened, I don't know). Also any civilian hostage must be released. Other than USA, it's the strongest military and biggest contributor of resources to that alliance. It is not gaining more than it's giving. Remember USA under Trump considered pulling out of NATO because they contribute a lot and gained little or nothing.

Turkey could pull out and probably align with Russia and still hold it's own against any nation/group of nations.

The bolded is most likely. NATO are comprised of mostly West and pro West nations. Turkey is basically anti-West in it's policies and actions. NATO won't kick it out because of it's strong military capability and Black Sea advantage, but sooner or later Turkey will see itself out. Their values are not aligned with NATO's values.
