Mr. President, please stop mesmering us with motion without movement. 419 is not responsible for the impoverisment and needless sufferings of the masses in the midst of a land flowing with milk & honey. Corruption and embezzlement of the nation's wealth is the cause. What is EFCC doing about that. Nigeria is a patient that has ringworm and leprosy, and you Jonathan, the doctor the patient has chosen has is neglecting/avoiding the LEPROSY and trying to cure the ringworm. Only God will save Nigeria and give up wisdom to credible leaders. Buhari knows what the problem of the nation is and has the political will to tackle the problem headlong. That was why the political elites of the tribes worked against him. The cartel of the beneficiaries of corruption knows no tribe or religion, they just use those as instruments to get to political positions. ion knows no tribe or religion, they just use those as instruments to get to political positions. |
Everyone that has even a tenth of sense in their heads know the 1st step to solving a problem is the admittance that the problem exists. Unfourtunatly, muslims would never admit there is a problem but keep on repeating the age.-old maxim: "Islam is a religon of peace." If this is true, how many killings in this MODERN AGE do you hear of, which are carried out in the name of their religon. In Nigeria for instance, we have Christianity, with countless traditional religons (Ifa, Ogun, Olokun, Arochukwu, Sango, etc) and several imported eastern religon (IriKrishna, Enkanka, etc) have you ever heard, even once, about anyone killing in the name of these religons. Another thing Muslims say rather than face the problem is this: Those doing the killings are not REAL MUSLIMS, but only parading themselves as Muslims. There are false adherents in every religon: Christianity, Hinduism, Buddahism, Freemansory, Shinto, Olumba-olumba, Rosicrucian, Mormonism, Kabbalah, even Satanism(there is a Church of Satan in America); so how many times have you heard the False Adherents of these religons blowing up planes and trains, committing suecide bombings, shooting innocent and unarmed people at random inside a bar or gatherings, in the name of the religon? The so called Real Muslims should stop deluding themselves and admit there is a big problem in Islam: the famous Islam maxim, "Islam is a religion of peace" is at total variance with what obtains in reality: Islam easily takes the title of being the Most Unpeaceable Religon on earth. Facts and statistics don't lie. And please foot even start telling about the CRUSADERS of more than a millenium (1000 yrs) ago. Civilisation has occured since then and everyone has moved along. Why not the Muslims too. |
Pinkrex, it is evident that you are a real a.ss-h.ole. It is also evident you are the kind of person that can do what this guys have done. From your posts so far on the matter, it's not that difficult psychologically profile you. But why, from your first post/comment, anyone with intuition can perceive that you actually enjoyed watching the video. I'm almost sure that it gave you a hard-on, you stone-hearted pervert. |
comrade, if your post concerning location is about the N95, my location is Ikotun in Lagos. |
Poster I dont understand what the exitement is all about:you think his trial means that Nigeria is now a Nation where justice reigns? While I'm in no vouching for him, the motive behind is arrest is another type of corruption: using state agency and resources to silence the oppositon, which is a sign of an oppressive state. But why, I'm sure we can point to at least a dozen people in PDP who have embezzled more state resources than Tinubu. Why is EFFC's radar not on any of them. Only a fool, an ignorant person or a mischivous person will disagree that Tinubu's trial is merely part of an agenda of the PDP to destroy the most vibrant opposition:ACN. On a more personal level, this is Jonathan's revenge against Tinubu, the same way Ibori's woes today are because he offended Jonathan. So poster I dont undertand your reason for such strong emotions. Most PDP past governors are not any better than Tinubu. While nemesis must catch up in one way or the other(Victory for Nemesis), but this is no way a VICTORY FOR JUSTICE, rather it,s a victory for the same old system: corruption.agree that Tinubu's trial is merely part of an agenda of the PDP to destroy the most vibrant opposition:ACN. Norisman and Anvallar, your comments are excellen; taken together summarises everything that needs to be said. Sometimes i wonder if there is a way by which participation of Nairalanders on threads can be screened. Sometimes i wonder at the ages of guys on many threads: are they matured guys and girls or basicaly teenagers or just coming out of their teen years some two to four years ago. Very true, too true, many people here lack comprehension skills and analyse issues like children. They think they are so wise while they know nothing, and instead of trying to learn, they are always trying teach. When u visit some other Nigerran blogs, you'll clearly notice that the contributions are from minds that are more matured. Maybe this is as a result of Nairaland being the biggest Nigerian blog. |
The answers from guys here e.g Wesly, shows that we really have a long way to go. What Oshimole did was very and completely wrong. I'm not disputing the fact that the Major may have done something wrong, the fact remains the wrong that he did is not something which is immediately clear. He was acting under power bestowed upon him by the state and if he had misused those powers, he could have been fired/suspended and made to appear before a desciplinary committee which would no doubt find him guilty and decide his fate. The committe could for instance recommend that he be arrested and charged to court. If u had the chance to ask the policemen who arrested him: What is the for which you are arresting this man, I'm sure they will have nothing to say. They just arrested and handcuffed the man because the governor said so. The guy was mal-handled, handcuffed and practicaly thrown into the back of a pick-up truck. He wasn't a dangerous criminal for God's sake. I was ashamed of the Governor. Truly Nigeria polity is not matured enough for State Police. |
Trust me, this guy is not apologising because he is sorry; no sir, he is not. For a guy like Olisa, his present and future success and wealth is high linked with the public's perception of him. He is apolpgosing because of the harm that may come to his status and pocket(shows anchoring on tv etc). Just by reading the transpit of his so called apology, you can see that he's not really sorry. His apology is for his friends(connections), companies like Mtn, Glo, Dstv,(juicy contracts). Let me say many people are like that, even many on this forum. Olisa just happens to be in the public's eye. |
No, I dont. Merely commenting. |
Hey sorry about your mum. Some guys have already given great advice, the reply/suggestion of chaircover and Verno are especially good. But there is one thing that you must do in addition. People make no mistake about it. This a serious issue, one which you can be blamed for and used as point of reference against you even in 20years time. Even those who are in support of you now may change their later down the line of time and say you had a personam motive for doing what u did; that they just did't realize it then. So this is my advice. If mum insist she wants ve be buried, tell her no problem, that as her son, u are ready to carry not her wish, but the problem is her family will not believe that it was really her wish, that it was really what u her son wanted. Tell her to allow u to make a video recording of her, in which she will address everyone, stating and explaining her wish clearly, making it explict that she commanded this of you. This video will be your defence against the swarm of accusations that will definitly come to u for years. Make sure you put it a back-up of it in several storage devices. Let a copy always be in your phone whenever u come home. Anytime u are questioned by any person who has been told about the matter, u merely show them the video. This will save u lot trouble: explaining the same things over and over again through time, and yet people still believing what some other person has told them or what they have decided in their own mind is the truth. The video will shut the mouth of everyone up. |
you will need an internet connection for your software, whatever software it might be. A good package which you can use the better part of the day will cost at least 5k per month. u dont need internet for drifta and it cost N680 or N1400 per month. I GUESS it depends on wbich one pays u more. If for instance one already pays for intenet connection every month, then I guess the software maybe better at the end of the day. |
@Thebless What in God's name are you talking about? Did you miss the part where it said the father called his daughter to inform him. Then how exactly has tne father disrespected his daughter or son in law? Jesus Lord, with tnis kind of mindset from our women folk, no wonder there are so many of them unable to hook up a man for marriage. No wonder marriages are scattering after two to three years now. |
which accessories does it come with? |

samaung galaxy SII is 104k at SLOT at Ikeja. |
Jarus:Well you are right. Sanusi looks and sounds like a forthright person. Still when I read Dansa's post, there was logic and sense in his postulations. So like I'm saying, elites do not regard or think this as conspiracies. They see it just as a gameplan. And truly there is nothing evil about this particular conspiracy: to empower the North more in financial sector and enable them(i.e average/middle class Northerners). Not all conspiracies are outrightly bad. But they still have to sit down and discuss it in secret and mask the real intention of the decision, especially since it seems Islamic Banking will gets its own different set of rules for operations. I only hope the average Northern business men/women who otherwise cannot compete favorably in "seeking of loan" with their Southern counterparts will greatly benefit from it, and it wont become another "Ibru Bank" mentality, only interested in granting loans to already super rich business men and politicians. And in reply to Ex-factoria, politics will always play a role in who gets appointed as the CBN Governor, but regardless of how he got there, it's a fact that Sanusi has enough competence, experience and education to be the CBN Governor. And when it comes to integrity(most important), despite his controversies and sanctimonious pride, I dare to say he has a lot more of it than Soludo who created a timebomb in the Banking Industry, which is now being painfully-gradually defused today. |
Jarus:My freind, I beg go and sit down jare and stop trying to bamboozle us with correct English but incorrect refutal based on faulty analysis. The analysis of the poster, Dansa, if not 100% spot on, is like 90% correct. Someone was talking on a general level about business acumen of the south versus North, and you mention some like 10 names to refute it. Does that constitue the North. How silly! You do understand what "generality" implies. You want to compare the number of countless unknown millionares of the South to the North. Dont even try it. With a university degree and some family pedigree, it's easier to stand out in the North and for instance easier to become a Senator. But not so in the South, especially in the South-West states. So many peoples with baggage of degrees from all over the world. So Dansa's theory is believable and logical. And for those that are saying people are looking for conspiracy where there is none, then you are not a student of history. In every nation, across time, the major preoccupation of political and economic elites is plotting conspiracies. Most of the world system emerged out of conspiracies before there were now corrected/perfected by other processes. The Nigeria of today, the lopesided federalism, the injustice and inequality is a product of conspiracy. To the elites, they dont think it as conspiracies; its just how they go about playing their high stake games. And if you are trying to say the South is not more educated than the North in face of so much insurmountable evidence that is as glaring as the noonday sun, then you are the one living in delusion: GRAND DELUSION. And you better not say this in any public gathering. |
looking at the story of the poster and the story in the reply from Odunu, I've to say the best time is old enough to handle the truth. Telling the child when he's like 7 or 9 years is not the best. It's possible with some/many children it may go down well, but also with many children, it may lead to severe phycological disturbance which starts subtly and gradually becomes serious. It can also leads to depression. The way children think are very funny. He may tell some of his freinds and they start giving him stupid advise. The parent the poster talked about had done the right thing. The age they told him is about the right time. A wrong time will be when the guy is an adult; in his thirties, married, already has kids etc. A 24 year old is a young adult. Concerning the reaction of the boy, I can only conclude he's one of those over-pampered spineless spoilt boy, possibly of rich parents. Otherwise I dont see any sense or need for his course of action. Yes, he should be shocked, overwhelmed, flabbergasted. All these should wear out in a few days, and that is leftover should be gratuitude to God and his parents that he has turned out better than even those have their biological parents.id advise. Can someone please help; someone? anyone? |
Hey Gsinter, I appreciate your kind offer. But you'll have to come from the Island to the Mainland, and then return. I don't want anyone going through that much trouble because of me, more-so when it's not an emergency. All I need really is just a name and location of the bookshop to get it. |
Please, everyone, anyone; who knows which Bookshop I can get the book mentioned in the topic of this thread? especially on the Mainland. That is because I live on the Mainland and it will be much easier going there. Nevertheless, any address will be appreciated. Thanks in advance to everyone. |
@ kulutempa It's interesting how you ignored wholly what I wrote and lifted the part that you want. Anyone who reads my post will know I'm definitely not in support of Bankole or anyone who steals public money. From my post it's obvious that I want them in jail. And I don't care how people come to justice, whether it's selective or otherwise. And I'm a staunch supporter of Ribadu. He too had that Presidential pressure or call it control of "selective justice" hanging over him to serve PDP's cause, but as long as there was a strong case against him/her he goes after them. Everyone that Ribadu charged to court, from the charges, the seriousness and strenght of the case against them was glaring. But in Bankole's case, without even sure of the charges there were going to charge him with, the ones that hold water, or the general strenght of the case they had against him, they arrested him. This shows there were in a hurry because of pressure upon them, they picked him up when there was not a strong case against him. As of now EFFC keeps on changing the charges. Even with the hinderance of an Obasanjo Presidency, Ribadu tried his best even sometimes daring Obasanjo: one time he was at UI and students asked him why Bode George was not being charged to court. He told them with a straight face that the case against Bode has been fully prepared and finished but someone was sitting on it. Of course it was obvious he was refering to the President. So KULUTEMPA, selective justice is a problem and until it's done away with EFFC will continue to fail miserably. And don't even try to compare a Ribadu-EFFC with a Waziri-EFFC. And I even proffered what the solution to this debacle. But you didn't see any of that. You only saw what you wanted to see. So it's either lack of Comprehension or unabashed bias. |
@Kulutempa Don't know why Nairalanders are low in comprehension of written stuffs. Now I know why Writing and Comprehension in secondary school is such a big deal. I'm one of those that I've commented. Reading through the comments, so far no one is supporting Bankole. But rather, people are disgusted with the EFCC. An EFFC that is simply a tool in the hand of the FG to punish erring party members and political opposition. Hence the EFFC did not even know the truth or strength of the case they had against Bankole before they arrested him. They are so much in a hurry because the mighty PDP wants to punish Bankole concerning the emergence of a Northern Speaker in the HOUSE. Some people said if he stole 10 naira, thief is thief. Agreed but that's too much of a simplistic way of looking at it. We are not talking of a child stealing at home or a stealing by the Head-Boy of a secondary school. We are talking about stealing in the corridors of power by the Number Three man in the (potentialy) richest black nation. A nation characterised by it's leaders massively insanely embezzling it's resources, thereby crippling development. This is the PECULIARITY of Nigeria. For now stop comparing us with America or Britain whose structures are by now so tight that even minor things come under scrutiny. Imagine, Bill Clinton almost lost his Presidency because he had a fling (harmless to everyone except the wife) with a woman. Most of the world watched in disbelief. So in Nigeria, where the hydra-headed monster, corruption, is draining our life-blood almost to the point of death, and EFFC charges the Number Three man to court after making a lot of noise and drama about how terribly corrupt the man was, and the only charges that could hold were that of 25 TVs that were inflated by something like 150k-200k each, it's not only laughable but ridiculous: meanwhile in the nation, left, right and center is full of people that have embezzled tens and even hundreds of billions of nairas. As long as EFFC remains a tool of selective justice to decimate the percieve enemies of the President and the PDP, EFFC will continue to fail miserably. This is what we are disgusted with. That's why we say let Bankole go home and STOP WASTING OUR TIME. For EFFC to be effective, every Nigerian should start championing that henceforth, the procedure for appointing the Chairperson of the EFFC should be the same as the Judges. And like the Judiciary, the financing of the body should also be directly charged to Consolidated Revenue Fund and have nothing to do with the executive arm of goverment. If Buhari was President, all the looters would have by now already ran away and nations all over the world would be busy extraditing them to Nigeria for justice. A Buhari Presidency may have it's excesses, but it's exactly what Nigeria needs at this point in time. A REVOLUTIONARY CHANGE. Sometimes I think we ought not to complain because we get exactly what we deserve. In a country like America, Buhari, proven to be THREE-MUCH UN-CORRUPT by far than any other politician would have won the election. This Presidency may only impove things slightly. Anyone expecting a revolutionary change from Jonathan is delusional. |
I'm not a fan of Bankole neither do I hate him, but the truth right now is that, it seems the EFCC really has nothing concrete against him. The 10 billion naira loan scam was had to be dropped by EFCC because it will not hold. An explanation which seems plausible, though not necessarily morally acceptable of how the money was spent on increased allowances has being offered. Forget the 1 billion dollar nonsense. It never existed except in some people imagination. People should stop being silly. How can Bankole keep 150 billion naira in one account; from exactly where would if be able embezzle such an amount from. It will seem much of what we were hearing was propaganda afterall. Make no mistake about it, his arrest is a direct consequence of doing nothing to prevent or supporting the emergence of notherner as speaker in the HOUSE. I also had a good laugh when I heard the silly TV & co. charges that were being read against him. Mark my words. Bankole will soon go home free and Madam EFCC will come out of this whole thing looking like a fool. |
Hey biz2get, sorry but your offering is too low. Hope you know N95 8g is different from N95. It has internal 8gig memory, bigger screen, better loudspeakers, etc. Make a reasonable offering and the phone is yours. Hope stay in Lagos. |

Da Doctor:"but to me AFTER -1 IS STILL AFTER-1" What exactly does this mean? Can you please elaborate? In case & anticipation that you have nothing sensible to say, permit me to tell you that you are a real m.o.ro.n. Is she asking you to marry her? Do you realise there are many men who are achievers and are loaded who are ready to marry her? Please post the pictures and profile of your fiancee/to-be-fiancee/wife who is not after-one. And incase you really do have something sensible to say, then permit me to tender my unreserved apologies. |
